Move
dialogue box: You can move the dialogue box up and down the screen. Press L
to move it up and R to move it down.
Data: When you have the Scouter, press Select when fighting a
Boss. You will have his or hers data for the rest of the game.
Play
as Hercule/Satan: Get to level 50 with Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, and Trunks. Go to
the character specific gates marked with 50 to collect trophies. The
locations are as follows:
Gohan: Outside Gingertown
Piccolo: New Namek (you must find all seven Nameks to visit)
Trunks: West City
Vegeta: Northern Mountains
After you complete the Cell
Games, Hercule will become available.
Alternate
ending sequence: Get to level 50 with Satan. Go to the West City and break down
the door (there is a 50 on it). Enter it to view the sequence.
Faster
credits: Rotate the D-pad in circles at the credits.
Alternately, hold Down
to scroll through the credits faster.
New
moves: During the game, your journal will get updated to go train with
Master Roshi. You can learn one move with Piccolo, Gohan, Vegeta and Trunks.
One person will learn one move with Master Roshi. The move you will learn
with each person is a "Hold A" Move. Hold A and allow the
attack to charge and each person does a different move.
Hint:
Easy health: Save and reset, then chose another player. Switch back and you
should have full health.
If you do not have full health
or energy, break down the door and walk into the Cell Games. Your health and
energy will go up to full.
Stand in one place for a while
and your character will make an odd energy ball that revitalizes your MP or
energy.
Hint:
Easy experience: Before you get Goku, go to the northern mountains. Find the
barrier that Goku is supposed to break. There should be a dinosaur behind
it. Hit it through the fence. You will gain a lot more if you are under
level 30.
If you are finding it difficult
to level up your characters, the best place to train them would be the
"ninja castle" where you fought General Tao while searching for
the Dragonballs. Keep fighting the ninjas and they will give you a
reasonable amount of experience points.
To level up easily, go to the
Snow Mountains. In the upper left corner will be a black mark. When you
travel to it, it appears that you cannot get in, but the wall looks slightly
cracked. Punch it and there will be a dinosaur. Kill it, get the capsule,
and use it. Leave, kill the monsters outside, then go back in and repeat as
many times as desired.
When you get anyone to level 50
and open their door and use that first room to train.
To get easy experience for
Piccolo, go to the Tropical Islands and let all the alligators follow you.
Then, use your special beam cannon to destroy them easily.
Go to the Tropical Islands and
fight the sabre-tooth tigers and the alligators repeatedly for lots of easy
experience.
Unlock the passage to The
Warlord's Domain and go to the house where the thief of the key to the city
lives. In his house, there is a punching bag. Every time you punch it, you
gain 1 experience point. If you have a Gameboy Player for the Gamecube and a
controller with an autofire feature set to A, you can gain the points
easily.
For easy low level experience,
go to Northern Mountains and save on the second save location. Go left and
defeat the three Tiger Bandits. Go up to a Goku gate and attract the
triceratops's attention. Keep hitting him but make sure that it does not hit
you. As soon as you defeat him, you will gain a lot of experience if you are
at a low level.
Go to the Tropical Islands and
get to the last place you can go before the save point. Keep defeating all
the alligators and tigers until you reach level 50. Note: Once you get to
about level 47, it takes more time to level up.
Go to the Northern Mountains
and to the second CapsuleCorporation Save Platform (the one with the
"C"). If you cannot find it, use your Scouter Mini Map. It is
colored blue. When you reach it, go to to the right. Defeat all three Tiger
Bandits and further on there is a barrier that Goku is supposed to break.
Lead yourself to the wooden part, the fence, and punch it several times
until the Triceratops behind it charges. You will not be attacked by it.
Punch and kick several times, then use big energy blasts like Masenko, etc.
After defeating the dinosaur, you will earn a large amount of experience.
Repeat this to earn more experience.
Try finding dinosaurs to
battle. There are dinosaurs all over the world, especially in barriers. If
you are under level 20 or 25, a triceratops is enough for you. If you are at
level 30 or above, try battling a T-Rex. The bigger the dinosaur, the larger
amount experience you will make for everyone.
Once at level 25, open the
barrier for Goku in the Northern Mountains to fight a triceratops. Once you
are at level 38 to 45, go to Snowy Highlands and fight the enemies. Kill the
red tiger enemies, then fly to the next area and fight the Kuma men with
swords. Go east and repeat the process. Note: Save the game before doing the
second part of this strategy.
Hint:
99 Cookies: Go to Capsule Corp. and keep talking to Bulma's mom until she
says you have 99 Cookies. Cookies recover 5 HP.
Hint:
Vinnie's music: In the cave where you have to turn off Vinnie's music, turn the
blue, green, and black switches on.
Hint:
Rocks: Whenever you hit a rock, it will give you something such as
health or power. Go to where the game will take you out of that place into a
different place. Return to where the rock was located and it will give you
the same thing again. You can do this multiple times.
Hint:
Piccolo's trophy: Reach level 50 with Piccolo, then go to the ''50'' gate at Namek
Planet.
Before you get Piccolo's level
50 trophy, you must fight Cooler (Frieza's brother who you encountered on
Earth awhile back and requested to fight Goku). You do not have to fight
with Goku, but if you do not, Cooler will become angry and will deal more
damage.
Hint:
Gohan's trophy: Reach level 50 with Gohan, then go to the ''50'' gate that is
outside Gingertown.
Hint:
Goku's trophy: Successfully complete the game to get Goku's trophy.
Hint:
Trunks' trophy: Reach level 50 with Trunks, then go to the ''50'' gate at West
City.
Hint:
Vegeta's trophy: Reach level 50 with Vegeta, then go to the ''50'' gate at
Northern Mountains.
Hint:
Disappearing Hercule: When you finish the Cell Games, go to Dende's Lookout. Talk to
Dende as Hercule. There will be a white flash and everyone will be there
except for Hercule.
Hint:
Easy friend battle: At the start of the game when you can fight your friends at the
atrium in the Capsule Corporation building, stand to the right of one of the
pillars. You can hit them, but they cannot hit you. They will keep coming
towards you; stand there and hit them when they are close enough.
Hint:
Sparring Arena: In the Sparring Arena in Capsule Corporation, you will fight
fellow Z fighters. They will fight you in this order :Yamcha, Krillin, and
Tien. After you defeat them, the room will still be accessible but will be
empty except for the jars.
Hint:
Easy kills: To defeat enemies easily, use Gohan, Goku, Trunks, or Vegeta.
First, turn Super Saiyan. Then, use Kamehameha, Burning attack, or Big Bang
attack. This will not work on androids, except for Cell. Continuing from the
energy attack, hit them with a series of punches and kicks. End it with
Flurry punch, Super kick, Sword Blast, or Two Handed Smash. For Vegeta you
should try using Energy Punch and Big Bang. Alternately, do the Energy
attack then launch two regular blasts and two punches. Then, turn Super
Saiyan and repeat.
When at the Capsule Corporation
training arena (behind the Capsule Corporation building), hide behind a
pole. Opponents will walk up to the pole and keep walking into it. You can
punch through the pole to hit and kill them, but they cannot hit back. Note:
This does not always work, and goes faster the higher level you are.
Hint:
Defeating Androids: When facing the first android, hide behind a skinny rock that is
tall. He will keep walking towards it. You can punch though the rock
multiple times and hit the android. Note: This goes faster the higher the
level you are.
Train Vegeta to level 25 to 27.
Go to the androids, turn Super Saiyan and repeatedly press A or press
B on blast the one you start off with.
Fight Android 19 or 20 as
Vegeta. Turn Super Saiyan before you enter. When you are fighting you should
power down. Go behind a tall rock and wait. When the meter fully charges,
turn Super Saiyan. Do not use energy attacks; it heals him. If you are low
on heath, use a Senzu Bean or run around until you find rock that you can
break to heal yourself and regain energy. Make sure to get the charge
attacks from Master Roshi. Use it when you can.
Hint:
Defeating Cell: When playing as Gohan, hide behind the big boulder where the
other heroes are. Cell will be unable to attack. Use Gohan's Masekoma.
When playing as Goku, after
Cell destroys the Cell Game Arena hide behind the boulder next to where the
other heroes are located. Cell cannot attack. Use Goku's Sprit Bomb.
Before you fight Cell, make
sure you have three Sensu Beans. When fighting Cell, hide behind the rock
thatis inbetween Vegeta, Trunks, Android 16, and Krillin. Transform into a
Super Saiyan and use the Spirit Bomb. Before you run out of energy, use a
Sensu Bean. Repeat this process until you are out of Sensu Beans. Doing this
trick with a level 50 Goku with a power of 100 will result in a Spirit Bomb
doing 22,000 damage.
Hint:
Defeating Cooler: Go to Namek and save your game. Use a level 50 character such as
Vegeta and go behind a pillar. Go against it the way so that the blast does
not hit you. Then, turn Super Sayian and rapidly punch Cooler. It is also
useful if you have at least one Bean to replenish your energy if it gets
very low.
Hint:
Defeating the dinosaur king: Go to the place at bottom of the screen where you came from. Stay
there and the dinosaur king will not be able to attack you; the small gap is
too small for him. Keep shooting fireballs at him until he gives up.
Hint:
Defeating Bosses: If the land has something such as a palm tree, unbreakable
boulder, or something similar, it can block attacks. Have a straight line
and have some blocking attacks. Go behind it and you will be safe from
attacks. Recharge your energy, then fight. Sometimes if the object that is
blocking attacks is thin, you can punch them.
Before you go in a Boss arena,
turn Super Saiyan/Super Namek. When you are about to run out of Kai energy
(green bar), get behind something (solid rock or boulder) and recharge. When
you are fighting with a Boss, an easy way to defeat him is to work on a
tactic of punches back and forth. If the Boss keeps hitting you, use a Ki
blast and keep punching him until he/she loses.
To have easy Boss battles
throughout the game, train characters to level 50 after the auto level up
after the three years training.
Find a large and unbreakable
rock or a tree. Your enemy keeps walking towards you if you are behind such
an object. Try to hit them when they are near. You can use energy waves on
them. However, do not use them on Androids. Do not hide behind a breakable
object, as you will get hurt. If there are no unbreakable objects to hide
behind, like on incomplete Cell No.1's field in Gingertown, try punching
them in surprise. If they hit you, back away or use energy waves, except on
Androids except Cell.
Hint:
7 Nameks locations:
Mayor's house
Tropical islands
Where Piccolo (or God) lives
Northern desert
Northern mountains
B Building of the West City
Near Goku's house (there is a way behind trees)
To find all Nameks you need to
meet levels, break barriers, or find an item to enter. There are two Nameks
in west city. One is inside the mayor's house. The mayor's house is located
underneath the place with two security guards. The houses should be
connected. When you go inside, there is a box, one Namek, and a golden
capsule. Open the box to get permission to go to Apartment B, talk to the
Namek, and get the golden capsule. The other Namek is located in Apartment
B. The building is located near the newspaper place. Talk to the guard and
you will be allowed to go inside. Go two or three floors up and you will
find the Namek. Talk to him and you will save another Namek. There is one
Namek in East District 439. Get Vegeta to level 30 or higher. Open the door
in the forest. Follow tracks until you reach a door that only Goku can
break. Note: This is all the way at the top of your map, and there are
warlord soldiers in that area. Go right from here, and there will be a dead
end all the way at the end. Go north and you will be able to find the Namek.
To get the Namek in the North Wastelands, have Goku available. There should
be a barrier for Goku to break. Inside is a switch that you should turn on
to open a bridge. Find the bridge to get the Namek. Go in the cave if
desired. There is a Namek in Kame''s Lookout that could be missed easily. He
is in the northwest of the lookout. Talk to the Namek. A Namek in North
Mountains is only there if you have Piccolo at level 30. Find a level 30
Piccolo barrier and break it. Follow the trail to find the Namek and talk to
him. There is another Namek that can also be missed easily just east from
the level 30 Vegeta barrier. Talk to the farmer to get the pass for
Apartment A and the Namek. Then, get ready for your trip to New Namek. You
will fight Cooler in New Namek. However, before you do, talk to the man near
the ship to get something. Go up and find a save point. It is recommended
that you save and get someone to level 46 to 50. Go to the cave and start
the fight with Cooler. He is not that difficult, but he has 10,200 HP.
Hint:
Golden Capsule locations: After collecting all twenty five Golden Capsules, see Dr. Briefs.
He lets you keep one. When used through the Item window, it takes you back
to the World Map if you are standing outside. It will not work inside
buildings or caves.
Hint:
East District 439: Dragonball: To get The dragonball in East District, you must first power-up
the Orbs by flipping the switches on the left and right sides of the
fortress. Then, press A on each of the three Red Orbs to drain the
pool. Then, fight your way to an intermission sequence with General Tao.
Once you defeat him, you will get your Dragonball.
Hint:
East District 439: Fountain switches: Flick the switches in this order to stop the fountains: top,
right, left, top.
Hint:
East District 439: Namek: Go to the upper left of the map to find a Vegeta barrier. Break
it and go in. Look at your Scouter, and if you upgraded it, you should see
some gray boxes. Look at the very right and find the first one up. It should
look large. Go in it. Look at the Scouter again. It should look like a pot
handle. Go to the right as far as you can and go straight up. There is a
secret entrance to the Namek here.
Hint:
Gingertown: Golden Capsule: When you are in Gingertown, walk straight to the next screen then
go a short distance forward. Then, turn left, go straight, and you will find
the Golden Capsule.
Hint:
Kami's Lookout: Namek: Look on the top left corner to find a Namek.
Hint:
Northern Mountains: Korin's fish: You can find Korin's fish easiest in the Northern Mountains where
there are three hawks and a pond of water.
Hint:
Northern Mountains: Namek: There will be a wall that Piccolo can break down at level 30.
Hint:
Northern Wasteland: Namek: Go to the level 35 gate for Goku. The Namek will be outside the
gate.
Hint:
Snowy Highlands: +3 Power Capsule: When you are collecting the Dragonballs, you will unlock an area
called Snowy Highlands. Go there and get up to the frozen river. Use the fly
pad to fly across the river. When you get across, go north into the area
with four Kuma Mercenarys. Defeat them, then go straight into the wall to
the north. Punch it and a cave will be revealed. Inside there will be a
Tyrannosaurus. Defeat it, and it will drop a +3 Power Capsule.
Hint:
Snowy Highlands: Dragonball: When you get to Snowy Highlands, go diagonally and press A
on the flight pad. Then, go to the next screen, which is forward, and go
through the level 40 door. Then go north and you will find the Dragonball.
Hint:
Snowy Highlands: Secret area: There is a secret area in the Snowy Highlands. The passage is in
a area with many rocks with three bears. Look closely to find the passage.
When you are collecting the
Dragonballs, you will unlock an area called Snowy Highlands. Go there and
get up to the frozen river. Use the fly pad to fly across the river. When
you get across, go north into the area with four Kuma Mercenarys. Defeat
them, then go straight into the wall to the north. Punch it and a cave will
be revealed. Inside there will be a Tyrannosaurus. Defeat it, and it will
drop a +3 Power Capsule.
Go to the top left corner, in
the area with 3 blue Kuma mercenaries. On the top is a secret area. Punch
the wall to uncover it. Look on your Scouter map to find it easier. In the
area is a black T-Rex. If you defeat him, he will drop a +5 STR capsule.
Hint:
Tropical Islands: Gator attack: When you get Goku from Dende's Tower, go to the Tropical Islands.
Go to the island after the save point. When you first get on it, go straight
up, then face the right side with the most gators. Use the Spirit Bomb at
full power (half of meter) then release it. Let it hit them and collect the
items that the dead ones left for you, and kill the others while they are
frozen. Will give you more experience and will get fish easier.
Hint:
Tropical Islands: Namek: Just before you are about to fight Cell with Vegeta, where the
rocks say "30", go to the right. There will be a bridge that you
take. A Namek will be there, as well as someone who gives you the
"A" apartment card in West City.
Hint:
Tropical Islands: Fish: Go to the Tropical Islands and there will be very easy to find
fish for Korin.
Hint:
Warlord's Domain: Easy experience: Go to the man who stole the keys house. After talking to him,
look around his house and you will find a punching bag. Keep hitting the
punching bag to gain experience points. You only get one experience point
for each punch; this is useful if you are close to leveling up.
Hint:
West City: Talking dog: Talk to the dog that is directly under the antique shop
constantly. It will finally say "Will you rub my tummy please?"
instead of "Woof".
Hint:
West City: Apartment B Key: In the Mayor's House, there will be a chest. Open it to get the
Apartment B Key.
Hint:
West City: Namek: When you go in the Mayor's House, turn right to get to the next
part of the house. In the kitchen, there will be a Namek.
Hint:
Gohan: Super Kick Punch: Use his super kick and immediately after you release A,
quickly press it again. Note: The timing must be precise. If done correctly,
it will do more damage.
Hint:
Goku: Invincibility: Get Goku's Endurance up to 100 and he will be impervious to the
Red and Green Destroyer's fire attack.
Hint:
Goku: Exploding Spirit Bomb: Charge up the Spirit Bomb so that it is huge. Leave enough for a
regular Ki Blast. You can power up to SSJ (Super Saiya-jin) if desired.
After launching the Spirit Bomb, you should have enough for a Ki Blast.
Shoot the Ki Blast at the Spirit Bomb and the Spirit Bomb will explode.
Use the Spirit Bomb and punch
it. When it explodes, it will have a "solar flare" effect.
Hint:
Teen Gohan's Elder Kai ability or Goku's King Kai Fists: Hold the A move for Goku or Gohan. Turn Super Saiyan and
hold A. Once he goes out of Super Saiyan, he will be glowing (Elder
Kai ability or King Kai Fist). Note: This does not waste Ki or increase your
strength. It only lasts for the area you are in, and will eventually run
out.
Hint:
Unlimited Super Saiyan/Super Namek: First, transform to Super Saiyan or Super Namek and go to the
world map. You should be flying around as a Super Saiyan. Land somewhere and
you can now be Super Saiyan as long as desired. Note: This will stop when
you turn it off yourself.
Hint:
Super powerful Spirit Bomb/Kamehameha Wave: Hold B for the Spirit Bomb until you run out of energy,
then press Start (while still holding B) and use a Sensu Bean.
It will recharge your energy completely and allow you to give the Spirit
Bomb as much power as desired, or until your energy dies. Then. use another
Sensu Bean.
Hint:
Requirements to turn into a Super Saiyan/Namek:
Vegeta: When you unlock him.
Trunks: When you unlock him.
Piccolo: When he fuses with Kami.
Goku: When you unlock him.
Gohan: After he gets out of the hyperbolic time chamber.
Hint:
Easy health or energy: In certain areas, there are rocks that can be broken to reveal
health or energy. After you break the rock and get whatever is under it,
leave the area and immediately return. The rock will be there again. Break
it again and keep repeating this to get full health and energy.
Hint:
Meeting Cooler: When you defeat the dinosaur king, a fly pad will appear. When
you get back to the city, press A on it. When you land, go forward a
bit and to find Cooler.
Hint:
Finding Dragonballs: Once you receive the Scouter from Bulma, you can use it to find
the Dragonballs. Press Select, then press R and scroll to find
the Dragonballs.
Hint:
The three generators: The first generator is found just after Bulma says that you need
to find three generators. The second generator is all the way to the right
and up the mountain after Bulma says you need to find three generators. The
third generator is left until any of your characters asks where the music
coming from. Go left only when Bulma says to find the three generators.
Hint:
+5 Capsules: After talking with the Namek next to the ship on New Namek, open
up Grandpa Gohan's home with the key and walk inside. There are three +5
Capsules (Endurance, Power, and Strength) towards the back.
Hint:
Dragonball Z show and Radio Shack/Circuit City reference: In West City, inside the electronics store is a kid who says that
they sell his favorite anime videos and wishes his life was more like an
anime show. Their electronics store is called Circuit Shaq. a mix between
two real electronics stores.
Hint:
Strong character: To get a very strong character, save all the capsules you collect
that improve your stats (+3 Power,+1 Strength,+5 Endurance, etc.). Once you
unlock the desired character, do as much as you can for them. For example,
with Goku do everything up to where you have to enter the Cell Games (after
that you cannot play as him). Get your character to level 50, then give him
all the saved capsules. He should be very close to or at 100 for his stats
(except for Hercule) and be very strong and healthy.
Glitch:
Locked Mayor's house: if you walk near the Mayor's house after it is opened, walk
toward the gate a short distance, but still be out on the sidewalk. Press A
+ B and the gate will be locked, when it truly is not.
Glitch:
Super regular Gohan: After you complete the Cell Games, you have to talk to Dende.
Make sure your character is Gohan. Turn Super Saiyan before you talk to him.
When you are circled around the Dragonballs, Gohan's hair is yellow, but
when he talks his hair is normal.
Glitch:
Hercule flies backwards: As Hercule, go to the Tropical Islands. On the second last
island, go to the flying thing on the far right. Press A and Hercule
should fly backwards.
Glitch:
Glowing Trunks: During the Cell Games, when Vegeta is fighting the Cell Jr.,
destroy it. Then, begin to charge Vegeta's special melee attack. Keep
charging until the screen changes to the next fight. Trunks will be glowing.
Note: There is no increase in power, and it will stop once you are punched.
Glitch:
Glowing Vegeta: When Piccolo is fighting Cell Jrs. in the Cell Games, after you
defeat him press A until you see Vegeta. Note: There is no power
gain.
Glitch:
Dinosaur: Go to where Trunks's trophy is located. Go up to the R&R
robot (should be by Trunks' level 50 gate). Press Select and click on
the dinosaur, which on the outside is a robot but on the inside it is a
dinosaur.
Glitch:
Destroyer scanned as T-Rex: Go to Gingertown near Gohan's level 50 door. You will see a
Destroyer. However, if you scan it with the Scouter it is a T-Rex.
Glitch:
Disappearing Kamehameha Wave: Use the Kamehameha Wave then keep holding B and press Select.
After that, you will get out of the scanning mode. Keep B held and
the first part of the Kamehameha Wave will disappear.
While shooting a Kamehameha
Wave, press Select to enter your Scouter. Exit out and your
Kamehameha Wave will be invisible.
Glitch:
Huge Spirit Bomb: As Goku, use up all your Ki until you have just enough for a
small Spirit Bomb. Hold B for about a minute and it will stay the
same size. After you release the button, it should be the size of a full
size Spirit Bomb. Note: It will not do extra damage.
Glitch:
Flashing character: When you turn Super Saiyan or Super Namek, you will see a green
bar that indicates your EP. When it is at about to run out, hold A.
When your character returns to normal form, you should see a blinking form
of the person. When you get hit or advance to another part of the game, it
will stop blinking.
Glitch:
Action freeze: Stand near a save point and charge your special melee attack. Use
it and press A just after you release your special attack. Timing is
critical. You will briefly be able to see his action freeze.
Glitch:
Power down to Super Saiyan: After completing the game, talk to Dende as Super Saiyan Gohan.
While talking, Gohan's hair is normal but he is actually Super Saiyan. After
that, Gohan will fly around the world. However, just at the beginning Gohan
will power down from Super Saiyan. When he finishes, his hair will still be
Super Saiyan.
Glitch:
Save as Super Saiyan/Namek and not turn normal: Turn into a Super Saiyan/Namek then go to a save point. Save the
game. When you play the game again, you will still be a Super Saiyan/Namek.
Glitch:
Super Saiyan sound with non Super Saiyan Trunks, Vegeta, or Gohan: This trick only works after the Cell Games. Go to East District
435 as Gohan and turn Super Saiyan with a lot of energy, or else you will
turn normal again after Super Saiyan mode. Go to Dendes Lookout (Kami's
Lookout) and talk to Dende. After the credits are done, play a different or
the same file. If you were not Super Saiyan when you saved last, you should
hear the Super Saiyan noise. If you are Super Saiyan and turn normal, it
might disappear.
Glitch:
Charging music: When playing as Hercule, battle a T-Rex. When the T-Rex charges,
use your Freeze attack and the charge sound will still sound.
Please
select the first letter of the game's title below. If the word
"The" appears at the start of a title, ignore it and search for
the second word in the title:
