When you win all of the tracks
or have unlocked all ten cars, more demonstration cars and modes will become
available. The "Wind Walker" is quite amusing.
Delete
saved games: Hold L + R and turn on the Game Boy Advance. Select
"Yes" at the prompt to delete your game saves.
Obtain
ranking password: Select "Ranking" at the main menu. Select the desired
series, game, and course. Then, hold L and press Up, Right(2),
B, Left, B, Right, A at the course
ranking screen. The course name at the top of the screen will be replaced
with a password to confirm correct code entry. This password is used by
Nintendo to confirm your course rank in their contests.
Sly
Joker: Win the Pawn, Knight and Bishop tracks under the standard
difficulty setting.
Falcon
Mk.II: Win any set of tracks under the master difficulty setting.
Fighting
Comet: Win the Pawn, Knight, Bishop and Queen tracks under the master
difficulty setting.
Silence:
Open C: Complete a linked game with another Game Boy Advance using only
one game cartridge.
Silver
Thunder: Win the Queen tracks under the expert difficulty setting.
Alternately, win any set of tracks under the master difficulty setting.
Stingray: Win the Pawn, Knight and Bishop tracks under the expert
difficulty setting. Alternately, win all the tracks under the expert
difficulty setting.
Jet
Vermilion: Go to Nintendo
Of Japan and enter your name exactly, and press "Confirm". You
should get a password which will allow you to get the top secret car Jet
Vermilion. Enter that password in your game to unlock the car.
At the name entry screen,
select "Entry". Then enter T&T as a name. Start a game
under that name. When you reach the machine selection screen in Grand Prix
mode, enable the "Password screen" code and enter V-J4+6V9A-30
as a password.
At the name entry screen,
select "Entry". Then enter YAZZO JR. as a name (including
the space). Start a game under that name. When you reach the machine
selection screen in Grand Prix mode, enable the "Password screen"
code and enter 2-8+o8T2YQ30 as a password.
Alternately, enter H-M2XLT8A-30
or 3-KLY9V8?-30 as a password. Then, press Up at the vehicle
selection screen.
You can unlock Jet Vermilion
normally by using one of two methods. One is to unlock all other cars and
completing championship mode 255 times. The other to complete every series
on Master Class with all other racers.
Master
difficulty setting: Win the Pawn, Knight, or Bishop series under expert difficulty
level in grand prix mode to unlock the master difficulty for that series.
Queen
circuit: Win the Pawn, Knight, and Bishop circuits under the expert
difficulty setting.
Hint:
Bishop Series: Cloud Carpet: Icarus Circuit: Shortcut: When you get off the bank of ice/snow, use a boost from the
previous lap and go straight. You will save time and avoid damage to your
car on that sharp turn.
Hint:
Knight Series: Ancient Mesa: Split Circuit: Shortcut: Once you reach the second bank of ice/snow before the jump, use
the boost you have gained on the previous lap and make the sharpest left you
can. You will land on the other side of the track before the finish line.
This saves time and avoids crashes on that sharp turn.
Hint:
Knight Series: Stark Farm: Third Circuit: Shortcut: When you reach the fork in the road, take the right. When you
reach the jump, do not jump across. Instead, take a right while you are in
the air to land on the other road. You will save damage to your car from not
continuing the jump.
Hint:
Queen Series: Tenth Zone East: Plummet Circuit: Shortcut: Before you get to the fork jump, use a boost from the previous
lap. Do not immediately go over the sparkly ground. Instead, stay slightly
to the side of the sparkly ground to go farther than usual.
Make sure you have a boost. Use
the boost before the first jump. On the second jump, make a sharp left. If
you land on the road and have enough boost, you can make a sharp right and
land on the S-curve road.
Hint:
Pawn Series: Cloud Carpet: Long Jump Circuit: Shortcut: When you reach the jumping area, hit the left boost and do not
jump straight across. Make a left as soon as you jump and you should see
some land. Land on it and you will not have to make the long sharp turn that
people often crash in.
Once you get to the jump, make
sure you hit the boost and make a sharp left. If you watch the screen, you
can see where to land.
Hint:
Bianca City Stretch Circuit: Shortcut: On any lap except for the first, use a boost (press L + R)
after the first turn. You will see a blue stripe. Hit the blue stripe and
you will jump. Then, turn right and aim for the road on the far side of the
land. As you land on the road, press Down. This will save you from
taking the corner and allow you to overtake some other racers. Be careful;
if you turn a sharp right you will land off road and explode.
Hint:
Turn sharply: Press A repeatedly while turning to turn without hitting
the forcefield.
