Completion
bonuses: Successfully complete the game to the hard difficulty setting,
Hector mode, Lyn mode, the "Sound Test", "Movie
Gallery", and "Battle History", and "Support
Conversation" options.
Successfully complete the game
in Hector's normal mode to unlock Hector's hard mode.
Special
ending: You can access a special ending at the end of Hector's story.
First, get Farina to join you in Chapter 25, and then get Hector to and her
to a "A" Support Level. At the end (when Hector is talking to you
before you leave) Farina will come in during the conversation.
Hint:
Defeating the Fire Dragon: Stay out of the Fire Dragon's range. It has a range of three
spaces, the same as a longbow. Hopefully you had the foresight to transform
your other lords into their respective second class character. (Lyn - Blade
Lord and Hector - Great Lord). Lyn's Sol Katti, given to her by Athos, was
fashioned for dealing with Wyverns; therefore, it can actually deal some
damage to the dragon. If you happen to have Thor's Ire (Nils can use it to
raise critical levels), then use it on Lyn. Her critical percentage will be
raised and you might get lucky enough to see an incredible show. All of this
relies on the fact that you can keep her alive -- HP in the 40's is best).
Keep Eliwood a few paces away from Lyn in order to rescue her once she has
completed her attack on the dragon. The Elixirs you have will be useful for
keeping her alive. Also, a Druid/Sage/Bishop with Heal/Mend can also aid
you. Keep attacking/rescuing/healing with Lyn until the dragon dies. This
may take some time, but it keeps your company alive. Also, if Lyn is not a
Blade Lord, try using Hector's Armads, if he is a Great Lord; do not use
Eliwood -- the Durandal may seem like a good idea but for some reason the
dragon can attack twice if you use it. Also, you will need him or Marcus to
rescue the attacker.
The last Boss of the game is
obviously a dragon. By the time you reach him, you should have Athos The
Archsage. If you are in the Eliwood path, you should have obtained some
Elixirs in the chapter with the cave of lava, in which you need to defeat
the guardians to get to the Durandal. Equip Athos with Aureola (the light
spell that he has). This does a good 20 points of damage on the dragon. The
dragon has a maximum of 120 HP. Get into range of the dragon, end your
phase, and let the dragon attack. On your turn, use an Elixir on him for
healing. Get the dragon down to 40 HP, and on your turn attack with Athos,
Lyn, Hector, and Eliwood to finish it.
Have your three strongest
characters (Hawkeye, Marcus, and your third strongest) and rescue your
lords, just to be safe. Make sure that if you attack the dragon, you will
still have someone to heal the attacker. Position Athos directly in front of
it and attack with his light spell Aureola. If you still have
Pent/Serra/Priscilla, have anyone positioned directly behind Athos for
healing. The dragon might do 37 damage to Athos, so Mend might not give him
full health. After you attack first, heal Athos immediately. The only time
you should attack is on counter-attacks. Otherwise, you will have no time to
heal, and Athos will die.
Make sure Hector is a level 20
Great Lord, and his HP is maxed out. Attack with Armads and you will do a
good deal of damage. Lyn as a level 20 Blade Lord with Sol Katti or Athos
will also work, However, but Hector is the best. It will take about five
hits (if you do not get a critical hit) to defeat the Fire Dragon with only
Hector. Also try to have support characters near him so that he gets a power
bonus. Do not attack with Eliwood; for some reason the dragon can attack
twice, which is a bad thing.
The best character to fight the
Dragon in the Final Chapter is Athos. However, his best spell is not
Aureola. Although it does 20 damage to it, he has a better spell. His best
spell is Luna. When you get Luna, save it for him. He can do 30 damage a
turn to the Dragon, as opposed to 20.
Equip Athos with the dark magic
book Luna, which negates Resistance. He will do 30 damage to the Dragon. On
your first turn, have Nils use the amulet that can raise allies critical hit
%, and attack the Fire Dragon with Athos. He should get a critical hit if
done correctly. This will do 30 x3 damage to the Dragon, or 90 of its 120
HP. Heal or rescue Athos with a horseback unit such as Eliwood's second
class, then attack on your next turn. This will deal the remaining 30
damage, defeating the final Boss in two hits.
Have Athos and any healer. Make
sure Athos is at full health then move him within range to attack the
dragon, but do not attack it. Make sure no one else is in range of the
dragon's attack, then end your turn. On the enemies turn, the dragon will
attack Athos, but will not kill him. Then, simply move Athos out of range
and heal him. When he is at full health, just do it again.
In Chapter 19, you can get Luna
magic from a chest in the northwest corner. Save it. In the final chapter,
give it to Athos and you can do 60 damage to Nergal in one turn. Hit him
after he attacks you, then on your turn, any strong character can defeat
him. If you still have Luna, use it on the dragon to do 30 damage.
Have Canas or Athos use Eclipse
on the dragon (with as high skill as possible), which can do 60 damage. If
you miss, have Nils give him a second chance. When done, attack with
Durandal, Sol Katti, and Armads, but be careful of Eliwood; the Durandal is
heavy and the dragon might attack twice. Then, have Athos, Pricsilla, Serra,
Pent, or Renault use Fortify if the dragon is not dead. Continue hitting
with legendary items and Eclipse until he is defeated.
Hint:
Defeating powerful enemies: Use the following tricks if you are having problems defeating a
powerful enemy.
Look around you and examine
the terrain. Try to find any area where you can stand that will give you a
advantage, such as the woods.
As you go deeper into the
game, you will start not paying attention to the weapons triangle. This is
not good. Look at what weapon the enemy is using and try to use the weapon
that is superior to the enemy's weapons.
Bring a lot of Vulerneirs
with you. Healing is important.
If you are fighting an enemy
that will not move and is in a castle, have the most powerful unit move up
to him, and bring your bard on one side and your cleric on one side. You
now have total support. When you are weak, use your cleric on your unit to
heal it. Use your bard on every turn so that you can attack again. The
only threat is if the enemy can use a ranged attack on you. However, by
the time the enemy kills both your cleric and your bard, the enemy is
already weak, and you can use the final blow on it.
Hint:
Chapter 7: This trick requires Florina, Nils, and Lucius. Use Florina to
rescue Nils and bring him over the peak. Drop him on the island next to
Heints. Then, do the same with Lucius and have him knock over the snag. Have
Lucius attack Heints and the other shaman in the way. After Lucius attacked
Heints once, have Nils play for him so that he can attack again. If Heints
is not defeated by now, wait until "enemy phase" for you to kill
him.
Hint:
Chapter 16: This trick requires need Marcus (most needed), Oswin, and
Princsellia. First, have Marcus rescue Princsellia. Have Oswin and your
lords (except for your best one) go straight ahead. Once Marcus reaches the
gate to Raven, drop Princsellia. Because she cannot move all the way to
Raven, have her move four steps. Once she reaches Raven, select
"Talk" and he will join you. Have Raven talk to Lucuis and she
will join. Have Raven, Lucuis, and your best lord defeat the enemy
reinforcements. Before you go to the Boss, you will see a square with a
knight and two chests. Crack the wall and kill the knight. He will give you
a chest key that can be used five times. Open the left chest for a Knights
Crest. Give the crest to Oswin and make him use it. The other chest contains
a silver sword. For the Boss, have Marcus attack with the hammer and Oswin
attack one space away with the javelin.
Hint:
Chapter 16: Lucuis: In Chapter 16 to Chapter 16x, Lucuis does not count as a green
solider.
Hint:
Chapter 16x: In order to unlock the side quest after Chapter16, you need to
keep one of the green soldiers alive. To do this, have one of your horse
riders rescue one of them, and do not let go.
Go towards the top and you will
have to defeat a few people. Send somebody (Marcus recommended) over to
Fargus, but stay very close to the top or the really tough pirates will come
after you.
This chapter is probably the
easiest in the game when done correctly. When setting your formation, place
Marcus as far up as you can and Dorcas in the bottom left. When you start,
send Dorcas to the house with the red roof closest to the left, to get the
Devil Axe. Next, send someone to the red house beside the inn to get Canas.
Send Marcus ahead up, around, and along the wall with about four of Fargus'
pirates. Then, send the rest of your fleet at the end of the wall. Fargus
tells his men to attack you. Then, get Marcus to talk to Fargus.
To easily and quickly win
Chapter 16x without fighting, go to all the houses and get all the items.
Have one of your characters place a mine anywhere on the field. When an
enemy unit walks on it, while they are taking damage, reset the game. Turn
it back on and open your file again. You should see the enemy unit blowing
up again. You now have control of the opposite team. Have a member of the
opposite team talk to Fargus and you will win Chapter 16x.
Hint:
Chapter 16x: Easy level gain: In Chapter 16, keep one green soldier alive. This will allow you
to try Chapter 16x. Defeat all of the enemies except for Fargus. It is
recommended to allow Marcus do the fighting. Once everyone else is gone,
visit all of the villages there. If you do, you will get a new character
(Canas), a Devil Axe, Lancereaver, Sleep Staff, and a Short Bow. Then, have
a character go into the arena. You get a lot of experience when you win. It
is possible to get every character up to level 20 by doing this, but be
careful. If you have to fight a Myriddion or a Swordmaster, quickly press B
repeatedly, as there is chance are that they will kill you. This really is a
gamble, but it is the easiest way to level up weaker characters, such as
Raven, whom you get in the chapter before at level 5.
Hint:
Chapter 22: For a sure win on Chapter 22 (in which you protect Nils), you
need a long bow with either Rebecca or Will. You need also Marcus with 2
Light Runes if possible, Oswin preferably as a general, Erk Best as a Sage,
someone with a javelin or hand axe, and all the other units allowed. Leave
the Ostia units at the bottom of the stairs followed by two (two by two)
Paladins, then Erk and the person with a javelin or hand axe. For the second
long bow, get Rath (the green nomad). Deploy Merlinus and in that small area
where Nils is put, the rest of your units for substitutes while you heal the
six needed units.
Hint:
Chapter 30x: If you complete Chapter 30 in twenty turns or less, you will
unlock the side quest. You will fight Edinusha the magic seel created by
Nergal. He is very difficult to defeat, but you will get good items in the
level. You cannot use magic to defeat him. You must have very strong
non-magic people to battle him.
Hint:
Side quests: There are certain things you must do in order to unlock all the
side quests. Some Chapters can be different; it all depends on what you have
done.
Chapter 7x: Complete Chapter
7 in less than 15 turns.
Chapter 13x: Visit the
northwestern village on Chapter 13.
Chapter 16x: Keep one green
soldier alive in Chapter 16.
Chapter 18x: Finish Chapter
18 in less than 16 turns.
Chapter 19xx (Hector's Tale)
In order to get to this stage, you must defeat the magic seal Kishuna on
Chapter 19x, the Prisoner of Magic on Hector's tale. He is very difficulty
to hit. Bring Dart, Barte, Marcus, or any strong attackers. Do not bring
any magic users as he will cancel them out. This also includes staves.
Chapter 22x: Recruit Hawkeye
in Chapter 22 and have him gain 700 experience points.
Chapter 23a: Lord's level
sums equal 49 or less.
Chapter 23b: Lord's levels
are 50 or more (Chapter 23b will allow you to recruit a new character).
Chapter 25a: Level of units
upgradeable via Guiding Ring/Hero Crest.
Chapter 25b: Level of units
upgradeable via Hero Crest/ Guiding Ring.
Chapter 26x: Recruit Jaffar
in Chapter 26 and have him live.
Hint:
An Eclipse Of Time level: Train Nils to level 10 or higher on Lyn's quest. You will unlock
a new level on Eliwood's quest. On Dread Isle, complete it under twenty
turns to get Prisoner Of Magic. On this level, there will be two Bosses, a
Sage, and a Magic Seal. The Magic Seal disables magic in its area (including
the other Boss). Kill the Sage then the Morph around the Magic Seal. Kill
the Magic Seal with strong characters like Bartre, Dart, and Marcus. If you
do not kill him once you attack him, he will teleport away -- make sure he
is dead. Complete the level. A new level (An Eclipse Of Time) will be
unlocked. This will not work if Nils was not level 10 or higher.
Hint:
Access secret shops: On the "Protect Nils" mission, you can access one of
the secret shops if you stole the Members Card on the top left. Have a thief
with the Members Card walk to the right of the pillar, then select the
secret option to gain access. You can buy Elfire Physic and other great
items.
Go to the chapter with Darin as
a Boss. In the southwest corner of the map there will be a forest tile. Take
Matthew, and there will be a thief with a member card from the stairs near
to cracked walls. Have Matthew steal the member card and break the wall to
go to the forest tile. It appears to be a dead end, but in the corner in the
southwest is the secret shop. It sells useful items such as Killer Weapon
(Killer Axe, Killer Bow, Killing Edge, Killer Spears) LockPick, Chest Key,
Elixir. etc.
Before the final chapter (with
Limstella as a Boss), there is a secret shop. You must equip your Member
Card near the top-right corner of the map, over the ruin that you must
seize. There will have a plain tile surrounded with forest tiles. There will
be a secret shop here. It sells very rare items such as Ocean Seals, Earth
Seals and Fell Contracts for 50,000 gold and other items.
In the mission where you must
protect the throne (when Nils cannot enter the chapter and there is a sniper
Boss), bring your Member card and also a staff user that can use warp. You
will need the Warp Staff. There will have a lone chest near the Boss, that
has a Body Ring. Below there is a 2x2 plain tile that you cannot reach. Use
warp on a unit to one of the four squares in the 2x2 square. Somewhere in
the 2x2 tiles is a secret shop that items that change class only, for 10,000
gold each (Guiding Ring, Knight Crest, Elastian Whip, Hero Crest and Orions
Bolt).
Hint:
Get to secret shops: You must steal the Member Card in the chapter with Darin as the
Boss. Have some of your units to go right, including Matthew. At the
staircase by the crack in the wall, a thief will appear. You can steal the
Member Card from him.
Hint:
Building your party: You never know who you can get to join your party. Always try
talking to important people, such as Bosses and people who you have seen
before. This does not put you in danger. Once you go up to someone, the
"Talk" option may appear. If it does not appear, press B to
move your character somewhere else, or you can just select the
"Talk" command. There are many more characters that can join your
party than you may think.
Hint:
Special characters:
Canas: You can get him to
join in the stage in which you have to talk to the pirate captain, Fargus.
He is in one of the houses that you start next to. He is a Shaman, who
upgrades into a Druid. When upgraded to a level 20 Druid, the highest he
can get, he is basically untouchable. He is very strong, even with his
lowest spell Flux. With Luna, he can defeat the morph of the Black Fang
mage in one critical hit.
Dart: To get Dart to join
your band, do not kill him in Chapter 16x. He is at the bottom left-hand
corner. He will then join you on Chapter 18, the Dread Isle. He has a Hand
Axe and a Steel Axe. He is also one of the best Axe users in the game. He
is a Pirate, which means he can become a Berserker.
Erk and Priscilla: You can
get Erk to join you for a second time by talking to him with Serra
sometime in an early 10 chapter. Erk is extremely useful in the later
parts of the game. If you go to the village south of where you get him to
join, you can find Priscilla. She is a healer, and is another highly
useful character, considering she rides a horse and can get to injured
units faster. She is also required to get another character to join your
game.
Farina: You can get Farina by
giving her 20,000 gold. She is Florina's sister and is a Pegasus Knight.
She has a good lance and a javalin. She gains levels quickly and will be
at level 12 when you get her.
Fiora: She is Florina's
sister. Get her to join by talking to her with Florina. She is also a
Pegasus Knight. She appears on the first mission on Valor, or Doom Island.
Gietz: You can get Gietz by
talking to him with Dart. He is a Fighter. He has a silver ax and a steel
bow. He can kill Wyvrens easily.
Guy: He joins if you talk to
him with Matthew. He apparently told Matthew that he owed him his life
after being forced to do so in order for Matthew to give him some food. He
will join, not willingly, but it does not matter.
Harken: You must not kill the
Sage, Bishop, and Druid in the chapter with the Boss Kenneth. In nine
turns he will appear. Talk to him with Eliwood for him to join.
Hawkeye: You can get Hawkeye
to join by talking to him with your main character (Eliwood or Hector). He
appears in a sandstorm a few turns later in the southeastern part of the
desert in which you are supposed to help Pent defeat the desert bandits.
Heath and Rath: Another
Wyvern rider. You will meet him by talking to him with Lyn in the same
chapter in which Rath reappears. You can also get him to join by talking
to him with Lyn or perhaps your main character (Hector or Eliwood).
Karla: You can get her in the
side quest battle preparations. You will talk to her with Bartre. She
attacks you, and if you survive, you get her on your team. She is Karal's
sister and is a Swordmaster on level 5. She has a Woe Dow.
Karel: You can get Karel to
join by talking to him with Lyn. He appears in the chapter in which you
are attacking the Black Fang base in the mountains. You may have to wait a
little while, but he eventually appears. Talk to him with Lyn and he
joins.
An alternate way is on
Chapter 25 defeat three promoted enemies by turn 9. Talk to Karel with
Eliwood and he will join your team. He is a Swordmaster.
Legault: Go to the chapter
with Darin as a Boss. Talk to him with Lyn and he will join your team.
Nino and Jaffar: If you talk
to Nino in the chapter when you are supposed to defend price Zephiel, she
will join you (main character). You now may be able to get Jaffar to join
you by talking to him with Nino.
Pent and Louise: You do not
talk to Pent and Louise to get them to join. They join a few chapters
after you first meet them. In joining, Pent gives you a Heaven Seal, which
you can use to upgrade one of your lords (other than the main character,
Hector or Eliwood). Upgrading Lyn is recommended, as she can use a bow
which is very useful. Pent is a very high official in Bern, and Louise is
his wife. Pent is a Sage when you meet him, and he has Elfire, a very
useful spell. Louise is a Sniper, and is also very useful.
Raven and Lucius: When
liberating Caelin, you can get Raven and Lucius to join your cause. To get
Raven, talk to him with Priscilla, who is his sister. Once done, you can
then get Lucius to join you by talking to him with Raven.
Renault: Go to Chapter 30 and
go to the farthest up village. Select "Visit" and he will join
your team. He is a Bishop.
Vaida: Vaida is a Wyvern
rider who joins you if she survives in the first chapter that you
encounter her. You later get her to join by talking to her with either Lyn
or the main character of your path (Hector or Eliwood).
Wallace: Get him to rejoin by
talking to him with Lyn. He appears in Bern when you are fighting because
he got lost on his way to Caelin, which happens often.
Wallace: Another way to get
him is to talk to him with someone formerly in your party while he was
there (for example, Sain, Kent, etc.).
Karla: After you complete the
game, you can unlock Hector Mode. In Hector Mode you can get Karla to join
you. Karla is the probably one of the most difficult characters to obtain
in the game. In the side quest where your mission objective is to purchase
supplies, you will need a Warrior Bartre at level 5 or higher. On the
first turn, she will come out and attack. Equip Bartre with a bow so that
he does not accidentally kill her. After that, and if Bartre survived,
talk to her so she will join. She has a Wo Dao, which has a very high
critical rate, so Bartre must be able to survive. He only needs to survive
one assault so that you can talk to her. You only have five turns to get
supplies and get Karla, so must be quick.
Hint:
Extra characters: Your enemy works for a house or organization. It will say the
name of the characters or the group they are working for. if it shows a face
instead of a symbol you can almost always get that unit with green units.
Hint:
Character upgrades: Note: Your character cannot be upgraded unless they are at level
10 or higher.
Archer to Sniper: Orion's
Bolt/Earth Seal
Nomad to Nomadic Trooper: Orion's Bolt/Earth Seal
Knight to General: Knight's Crest/Earth Seal
Calavier to Paladin: .Knight's Crest/Earth Seal
Wyvern Rider to Wyvern Lord: Elysian Whip/Earth Seal
Peg. Knight to Falco Knight: Elysian Whip/Earth Seal
Pirate to Berserker: Conquer's Emblem
Troubeder to Valkrie: .Guilding Ring/Earth Seal
Mage to Sage: .Guilding Ring/Earth Seal
Monk or Cleric to Bishop: .Guilding Ring/Earth Seal
Shaman to Druid: Guilding Ring/Earth Seal
Mercenary to Hero: Hero's Seal/Earth Seal
Myrmidon to Sword Master: Hero's Seal/Earth Seal
Fighter to Warrior: .Hero's Seal/Earth Seal
Eliwood to Knight Lord: Upgraded by Athos
Lyn to Blade Lord: Heaven's Seal
Hector to Great Lord: Heaven's Seal
Theif to Assaian: Fell Contract
Bard or Dancer: Cannot be upgraded
Archsage: Cannot be upgraded
Hint:
Eliwood: Eliwood is the second Lord that you get. He has a Rapier (which
is good on Infantry) which only can be used by him. The Rapier also goes out
quick; it is recommended that he also be given another sword. When you first
get Eliwood, he seems like he is not the best fighter. Train him, because he
will become very good. If you would like him to be strong, get him to level
18 to 20 by the end of Chapter 27. Eliwood, when he gets transformed, will
be a Knight Lord and he will be on a horse and be able to use lances. Lyn,
will become a Blade Lord, and be able to use bows.
Hint:
Eliwood: Raiper: You will need a unit that can attack from at least one space
away, such as a Sage or Sniper. Go up the right side, attacking all the
enemy. Before you claim a space, there is a Myridon with a Raiper. Kill him
and give the Raiper to Eliwood.
Hint:
Florina: Strong fighter: At first Florina is not the best fighter, especially since most
of the enemies have axes. However in the chapter when you receive Dorcas,
take advantage of the swordsman that keep appearing in the northeast where
Lyn meets Dorcas. Put Florina in one of the trees and get Lyn and Dorcas out
of the way so that they will only attack her. You should get her up by at
least one level by the end of the turn. Then, have her attack the swordsman
in the next chapter. You can also use Florina to finish off Bosses that have
been weakened by strong warriors such as Kent, Lyn, and Dorcas, and she will
gain a massive amount of experience points. By doing this, when it comes to
Eliwood's adventure she will not be useless and use the first Elyspian Whip
you get for her, and she will be a strong FalcoKnight.
Hint:
Hector: Hector is the final Lord that you get. He wields an axe, Wolf
Beil, that can only be used by him. It also goes out quickly. Hector, like
Eliwood, is horrible at first because he has a low percent of hitting
anybody except for lance wielders. To train Hector, fight against only lance
wielders. Hector becomes a Great Lord who can wield axes and swords, which
is good because he can fight axe wielders as well.
Hint:
Legault: Become an assassin: In the Dread Isle, a thief named Legault appears and wants to
steal things. Take Lyn and talk to him whenever you get the chance. After
you finish the chapter, advance until Battle Before Dawn (Jaffar and Nino).
Talk to Nino with Lyn or Eliwood and take Nino and talk to Jaffar. After you
win, accept the side quest and you will fight Sonia, who is holding
something called a Fell Contract. Defeat Sonia, get the Fell Contract, then
have Legault use it to become an assassin.
Hint:
Lucius: Strong magic wielder: When you first get him, is terrible. Be patient and train him
hard in Lyn's story. Have him at least at level 8 when you begin Eliwood's
story. If you do this and use him every chapter, he can turn into your best
magic wielder; perhaps even better than Pent if you use him enough. This
also can be done with other people that are terrible when you first get
them, including Florina.
Hint:
Lyn: Lyn is the first lord you receive. She eventually gets the Mani
Kati, a sword which only she can wield. It is a smart idea to train her
because later in the game you will get what is called Heaven Seals, for
Lords over level 10 that are deemed worthy (Lyn first, Hector second, and
Athos the Archsage automatically transforms Eliwood). Lyn will be one of
your good fighters because she gets to level 6 before you get more than
three people. When you start Eliwood's campaign, you will get Lyn again.
Give her a steel sword with the Mani Kati, as it goes out quick.
Hint:
Matthew: Strong assassin: When you get Matthew in Lyn's story, he has the highest gain in
experience after killing somebody out of anyone else you will receive. Use
this to your advantage and have him take out low-level axe wielding foes.
Get him to at least level 7 or 8 before Lyn's story is over. This will make
him very strong when you receive him in Eliwood's story with the same
experience gain rate, making him your best choice to turn into an assassin.
If you follow the advice and use him at least twice every chapter, he should
be at least in the high teens before you get the Fell Contract in Chapter
26x.
Hint:
Nils: Get to level 7 or higher in Lyn's Story: Kill everyone except the Boss in a chapter, then have someone
wait each turn. Have Nils play for them and end the turn. Note: This only
works on chapters that require Boss kills or seize the thrones.
Hint: Serra: Strong healer:
Take advantage of her healing power over Vulnerary's. Also, use Nils on her
a lot so that she can heal twice in the same turn. By the time of Eliwood's
adventure, she should be up to level 4 or 5 or even 7 if you use her
frequently. Continue to use her, only this time you will not have Nils.
However, in several chapters you will have Ninian. Eventually she will be
able to use other staves, some which give you more experience points.
Eventually she can get up to level 10. As soon as you get your next Guilding
Ring or Earth Crest, use it on her, as she can become a very powerful
Bishop; it will take longer for Erk as a Sage, Canas as a Druid, or Lucius
as a Bishop to reach high weapon levels for the staves. Also, it is better
to train Lucius to the mid teens before you change his class. However, it is
recommended that Canas changes class as soon as possible, as well as Erk.
Hint:
Easy experience: When in a chapter that requires you to kill a Boss, and the Boss
is on a throne or other healing tiles, do not try kill him immediately.
Instead, put a unit with high Defense or Resist (depending on the type of
Boss you are against) within attacking range of the Boss. Let the Boss keep
attacking you, and heal the unit when needed. After the Boss' weapon breaks,
move in whoever you want to gain easy experience with. Give that person an
Iron weapon and get them to keep attacking the Boss. If the Boss gets low on
HP, stop attacking him and let the throne keep healing him. When he is at
high HP again, resume the attacks. This is an easy way to maximize your
characters' levels and get them to "A" or "S" skill with
the weapon that they use.
In a Chapter that requires you
to kill a Boss on a throne (such as Chapter 13), kill all the enemies except
for the Boss. Continually attack the boss with indirect weapons (for
example, the bow or hand axe). Since the Boss heals every turn but does not
move, your characters will not take any damage and the Boss will never die.
You can just keep leveling up. Chapter 13 is recommended for this trick, as
the armory is directly above the Boss allowing you to buy another weapon if
the one you have breaks.
This trick requires Ninian, two
rescuers who can move after rescuing, (for example, Florina or Fiora and
Heath), and any low level characters. Place Ninian two spaces under the
Arena, the two rescuers to the diagonal left and right, and the low level
person one space below the Arena. Have Ninian play Ninis Grace on the low
level person. Have the low level person enter the Arena and they will be
almost invincible. When the low level person exits, have one of the rescuers
rescue the low level person. On the next turn, have the rescuer drop the low
level person. The person will still have Ninis Grace on them. Have the low
level person enter the Arena again. When the low level person exits, have
the other rescuer rescue the low level person. End your turn. Then the
person who rescued the person should drop the low level person and have
Ninian Regular Dance for the low level person.
Use the following trick to gain
easy experience for Florina. An easy way to train Florina is to equip her
with a Javelin. Then, put her behind a unit that has strong attacks, but
does not attack twice. A general is recommended (Wallace or possibly Oswin).
When the defending unit attacks, Florina can kill the enemy unit. This also
works with other characters (Fiora, Dorcas, Bartre, etc.).
In the chapter with Oleg as the
Boss, bring in some low level characters, such as Dart or Raven; and also a
healer such as Serra or Priscilla. When you get to the Arena, wait until no
one is attacking you, then stick your low level character into the Arena. If
he or she gets hurt, use the healer to heal them. This is useful when trying
to get low levels into their next form, such as Guy into a Swordmaster. This
also works with lords.
Hint:
Easy money: Enter a coliseum with any of your characters and ask to make a
wager. When the man asks the price of your wager, wait until he gives you a
wager of 560G or less. Anything below 560G is an almost guaranteed win for
your character. You can get very high levels and lots of money by doing
this.
Hint:
Easy support: At the end of chapters such as 13, 18x, or any other where at the
end you only need to seize a gate or kill the last enemy, put everyone close
to each other. Then, in every player phase, choose unit under the "A
options". Choose page 6, "Support Chance". If any of your
units can support another unit, it will be shown there.
Hint:
Max out stats: Before a class change, get your characters to Level 20. Then, if
you have it, use the character's Seal/Crest. Note: This is easiest done when
you use the Afas Drops Athos gives you in Chapter 22, however it only works
on one character.
Hint:
Earth Crest: In the mission just before you can get Neo and Jaffar, where
Wallace shows up, in the first village an old man will talk with you. When
you are finished, he will give you an Earth Crest. This crest will allow you
to upgrade any character higher than level 10. It is useful, but it is
recommended that you go in with an a strong flyer such as Heath the wyvren
rider. You must contend with an archer that has a silver bow. In the other
village, you will get a Silence Staff to help you fight the Queen Of The 4
Fangs.
Hint:
Fell Contract: You can make your Thief transform into an Assassin by giving it
Fell Contract. You can get Fell Contract in Chapter 26x.
Once a Thief becomes an
Assassin they cannot perform many Thief actions, such as stealing from the
opponent. Therefore it is recommended to get Legault so you can choose which
thief (he or Matthew) that you want to change class. Alternately, you can
just sell it for 25,000 if you do not want to upgrade any of you Thieves, or
if you only have one and do not want to lose his stealing ability.
Hint:
Ocean Seal: In the mission where you get Hawkeye, you can obtain a very
unique item found nowhere else in the game called an Ocean Seal, which can
be used to upgrade pirates, (DART) making them a Berserker like Hawkeye. The
item is buried in the sand at the last row of spaces near Hawkeye's
entrance. Get a Thief to stand on top of the right space to get it.
Hint:
Thorre's Litany: Get Florina to a high level. Use the Elaysian Whip in Chapter 20
to level her up. The Elaysian Whip is in the northeast village. Get the
Spear from the Boss in Chapter 21. Equip Florina with it. In Chapter 22, fly
Florina over to the lower pair oif bones. Put her on top of the one on the
left. When she attacked the hammer-wielding bandit, it will not kill him,
but Florina will find a ring called Thorre's Litany. It raises attack power.
Hint:
Quick Paladin: In Lyn's story in hard mode, you can get a Paladin. Because you
do not have to class-up Wallace, train either Sain or Kent until they are
level 20. The easiest way to do this is to take your time on Lundgren. Make
sure he does not die until you reach those levels -- let him heal for a few
turns in between attacks. When your Cavalier reaches level 20, use the
Knight's Crest on him. Then when you go into Eliwood's or Hector's story and
meet up with Lyn, you will have a Paladin who is much better than Marcus.
Hint:
Purchasing supplies: On the same side quest where you get Karla, check out the shops.
Any and every weapon is available. If you have Jaffer, you might want to get
a few Killing Edges and any type of Weapon Triangle Reverse Weapon as well
as Killer Axes, Lances, and Swords. There are also Silver Weapons. It is
recommended that before you go in, that you take four of your soldiers who
can use different weapons and trade their items away. Units on horseback are
desirable. Then, take a total of how many and what kind of Lances, Swords,
Axes, and Bows you need. Next, take the four soldiers that can purchase
these weapons and have them stock themselves with the number of weapons
needed. Before the next Chapter, trade all the weapons back, then trade the
ones you purchased away. You do not need to worry about money, as Hector
withdraws a a lot of money from the treasury before the mission.
Hint:
Triangle attack: To use this powerful attack you will need Florina, Fiora, and
Farina. First, put two of the Pegasuses or Falco Knights next to the enemy
and do not attack. Then, have the third attack. This is very powerful and it
never misses.
Hint:
Support: Whenever a character dies, they will usually say the name of a
character. That character is usually someone who you can support with. This
is useful before Nils does Auguries.
Hint:
Random sound test: After unlocking the "Sound Test" option, choose it then
press Select. A random music track will begin. Press Left or Right
to cycle through the songs. Press B or Select to return to the
normal sound test.
Hint: Maximize use of
coliseums:
Enter a coliseum with any of your characters and ask to make a wager. When
the man asks the price of your wager, wait until he gives you a wager of
560G or less. Anything below 560G is an almost guaranteed win for your
character. You can get very high levels and lots of money by doing this.
Hint:
Know the future in battle without paying: When you first start the battle in "Preparations", go
to "Fortune" and select "Augury". Pay the 50 gold. After
listening to what she says, cut it off and select "Restart
Chapter". When you play, you should have the same amount of gold.
Glitch:
Beyond The Borders: Disappearing archer: When Erk fights the archer, he will rarely get a critical hit.
When this happens, the archer will still be on the field with 0 HP. If you
attack him there will be no damage, but afterwards he disappears as if he
was killed.
Glitch:
Control enemy units: Place a mine anywhere on the field. When an enemy unit walks onto
it, and while they are taking damage, reset the game. When you continue the
game, it will shows the enemy being damaged again. You can then control your
enemy units. Use this to your advantage by making them discard all of their
items, retreat, or attack units that you want to level up. Note: Enemy units
can only be controlled for one turn.
Glitch:
Wrong description: Hector's Wolf Bane is described as good for infantry, but it is
actually good for cavalry (people riding on a horse, pegasus, etc.).
