fight against Trunks. If you lose, just restart the game to get Goten.
Goten
and Trunks: To unlock both Trunks and Goten, do the following. In Story 22,
lose the battle so Trunks will be unlocked. Then, complete the game and
continue until you start a new game. Go to Strory 22. Before you fight
Trunks, Goten will be unlocked.
Complete the Ex Stories and
continue. In Story 22, win the Goten vs. Trunks battle and Goten will be
unlocked. In Story 23, lose to Majin Vegeta, try again and win. In Story
24, defeat Buu as Majin Vegeta. You will unlock Trunks.
Gotenks: Successfully complete the game to unlock Gotenks.
Guldo: Play as Krillin and defeat Guldo.
Hercule: Unlock all characters in the game, then when you are in Story
22, win the fight versus Trunks with the Ginyu Force (once with Guldo,
once with Recoome, once with Burter, once with Jeice and once with both
Ginyu forms). Hercule will now be unlocked.
Majin
Vegeta: Use Super Sayain 2 Goku in the fight against Majin Vegeta. Lose
once, then win. Majin Vegeta will now be unlocked.
Nappa: Play as Piccolo and defeat Nappa.
Alternately, successfully
complete the game as SSJ 2 Goku.
Perfect
Cell: Have Cell 2 in the first position of your team when you fight
Android #16 and Android #18 and defeat them.
Pure
Evil Buu: Unlock Evil Buu (Gohan absorbed), then play as SSJ Vegeta or
Fat Buu and defeat Pure Evil Buu.
Get all other Buu forms and
defeat Pure Evil Buu with SS Vegeta or Fat Buu.
Recoome: Play as Goku and defeat Recoome.
Super
Saiyain 3 Goku: Have Goku at level 5.
Unlock all other characters
except Hercule, Yamcha, Tien and Chiaotzu then complete the game. When you
restart the game, you will have SSJ3 Goku.
Unlock all forms of Gohan,
Piccolo, Krillin, Goku, Vegeta, Adult Gohan, Future Trunks, Goten and
Trunks except for Evil King Piccolo on your first play. Reach the fight
against Pure Evil Buu.
Super
Saiyain Trunks and Vegeta: Get to Story 14. Talk to Trunks until he tells you about Gohan
from the future. Then, talk to Bulma once. Go to Cell's cocoon and call
Bulma and Trunks. When you fight Cell's first form, use Piccolo (Kami).
You must lose once. Then, win once against Cell. You must then use Piccolo
(Kami) again to fight Android No.17 and win. When you are in the
Hyperbolic Time Chamber training with Goku, before you fight Android No.16
and Android No.18, go to the left and you will see a pot. Open it and keep
pressing A until you get a Trunks Sword Card. Then, defeat Android
No.16 and Android No.18 with any desired character. When you get to Story
17, just before you fight Cell (P. form), you will get Super Saiyain
Trunks and Vegeta.
Teen
Trunks and Vegeta: Successfully complete story mode, then start story mode again.
When you are going to fight Cell when you first leave the Hyperbolic Time
Chamber, Gohan will be SSJ. Then, when you appear at the Cell's game ring,
a message will appear stating that you unlocked Teen Trunks and Vegeta.
Teen
Gohan Super Saiyan 2: After returning from the Kai's world, use Teen Gohan Super
Saiyan to fight Evil Buu and win.
Trunks: Lose the Goten vs. Trunks battle.
Vegeta: To get Vegeta in the first story, defeat Android 19 with Goku.
After that you will come on a field. Talk to anyone except Tien. Do this
multiple times, then Vegeta will say something and join the party.
To get Vegeta in the first
story , select the defeat deck and find all the cards on the maps up to
the fight against Ginyu Goku and Jeice. Before the fight, Vegeta will be
unlocked.
To get Vegeta early (in story
8) you must first do the following. In story 1, get all the questions
correct. In story 4, get the sword, talk to Krillin, get the Kaio card
from a nearby rock, and give Yajirobe the sword. Defeat Vegeta as Gohan.
In story 5, get the Dende card. Defeat Guldo as Gohan. Do the same for
Recoome. For Jeice and Burter, use Goku and Gohan. In story 8, get the
card from the spacepod. At the Ginyu and Jeice fight, Vegeta will be
unlocked.
Vegito: Successfully complete the game to unlock Vegito.
Yamcha,
Chiaotzu, and Tien: Unlock all other characters in the game and collect all 125
cards. Play through the game as usual, complete it, and start again.
Yamcha, Chiaotzu, and Tien will be unlocked. Note: All characters must be
at level 5.
Villains: On your second time through, you should be able to unlock all
the villains.
Nappa: Defeat him as
Piccolo, Vegeta or Vegito.
Guldo: Defeat him as Krillin.
Recoome: Defeat him as Normal Goku.
Jeice & Burter: Defeat them as Normal Goku & anyone else.
Ginyu: Defeat Goku Ginyu & Jeice as Normal Vegeta & anyone else.
Frieza: Defeat him in Story 10 as SSJ Future Trunks or Ginyu.
Goku Ginyu: Defeat Goku as Ginyu.
No.19: Defeat him as SSJ Vegeta.
No.20: Defeat him as No.19
Cell: Defeat him as Piccolo.
Second Form Cell: Defeat No.17 as Cell.
No.16 & P.Form Cell: Defeat No.16 and No.18 as Second Form Cell and
Goku.
Cell Jr.: Defeat him as P.Form Cell.
No.17 & No.18: Defeat No.17 and No.18 as No.19 and No.20 (Ex
Stories).
Buu: Defeat him as Normal Goten/Trunks.
Evil Buu: Defeat him as Buu.
Gotenks Buu: Defeat him as SSJ Gotenks.
Gohan Buu: Defeat him as SSJ Adult Gohan.
Pure Evil Buu: Defeat him as SSJ Vegeta or Buu.

Story opponents: You will face these opponents in the corresponding story.

SSJ4 forms: Although SSJ4 was not featured into Dragonball Z, it is
possible to get this form of Vegeta, Goku and Gogeta (Goku and Vegeta
fused by Fusion Dance). Unlock Goku, Vegeta and Veggetto at their
strongest forms (Goku SSJ3, Vegeta Magin Vegeta and Veggetto SSJ). Then,
complete the entire game including Trunks' Extra Story with only those
three characters at their strongest form in any order.
First, unlock Goku, Vegeta,
and Vegito at their strongest form. Then in the future stages, use those
three in any order. Complete the game, and SSJ4 Goku, Vegeta, and Gogeta
will now be unlocked.
First, unlock SS3 Goku,
Prince Vegeta, and SS Vegeto. Then, go to the future stages and use SS3
Goku in the first slot and Prince Vegeta in the second slot when you fight
Android 17 and 18.Then, defeat Imperfect Cell with SS Vegeto. This will
unlock the SS4 forms. You do not have to complete the game with them.
Hint:
Start new game without erasing data: Successfully complete the game. After the credits press Start(2),
then press A. Your battle, new game, multiplayer, and continue will
be saved.
Hint:
EX Stories: When you are in the Trunks's Extra Stories, it is only two
stories. The first battle is with Android 17 and 18. The second battle is
with Cell (imperfect form).
Hint:
Defeating Cell: Use punch/kick combos and he will use Barrier.
When playing in the Android
Saga against Cell, let Goku die. By doing this, Gohan will glow and become
stronger.
Whenever Cell uses Energy
Field, use 100% Kamehameha or other 100% attacks.
Hint:
Defeating Frieza: Equip Taiyoken as one of Goku's limited attacks so that you can
always block the elbow strike.
Hint:
Defeating Jeice and Burter: During Story 7, when you are fighting Jeice and Burter, switch
characters every time you attack three times with the character you are
currently using. Keep doing this until you defeat them. Note: This also
works on other battles.
Hint:
Get character's signature moves easily: Play the same character in every chapter. For example, if you
were fighting Vegeta you will get one of his cards.
Hint:
Secret memos: When you are walking around in Trunks' extra story (before you
fight the Androids), there will be a secret memo in a nook at the bottom
of the screen. It will tell you how to acquire Guldo, Reccoome, Jeice,
Burter, Ginyu, and Frieza.
Along with the memo in Trunks
Ex Stories that tells you how to get the Ginyu Force and Frieza, there is
also a memo at the top of the screen that tells you how to get the
Androids and Cell. Another memo at the bottom left of the screen will tell
you how to get all of the forms of Buu.
Hint:
Easy rare cards: To get very rare cards, enter battle mode and battle
frequently. From the tenth battle won onwards, you will start getting
three cards instead of two. The third card offered is always a two or
three star card.
Hint:
Easy DBZ points: The easiest way to get points is to just keep playing Piccolo's
story. It is one of the easiest stories in the game, and finishing it
gives you 300 points.

Dabura: Fossilizing: To make the Dabura Fossilizing easier to hit, first pick the
item. Then ,wait till the picture appears, showing Dabura spitting .Next,
hold A until it hits. You may have a better chance if you do this.
Hint:
Teen Trunks: Burning Attack: When you are about to face Androids 16 and 18 in Chapter 16
after starting the story mode again, use Cell (imperfect) as first
character and Gohan (strongest) as the second character and win the
battle. You will have unlocked Android 16. Then after leaving the
hyperbolic chamber after the conversaion that Goku, GOHAN SSJ, and the
others have, before you fight Cell (perfect), you will have unlocked Teen
Trunks with Burning Attack.
Hint:
Trunks: Extra Stories: When you fight Cell after he returns after blowing up, use
SSJVegeta to fight him. After you defeat Cell, you will go to the extra
stories.
Hint:
F. Kamehameha and V-ball Crash: To get these attacks in story 30, fight as Majin Vegeta and
keep pressing Start at the family picture. Note: You do not have to
win all the stories.
Hint:
Ultimate Kamehameha and Buuball Slam: Complete the entire game without losing once. When you get to
the credits, a picture of Goku and family will appear. Hold Start
until you hear a sound. The game will state that Ult. Kameha has been
added to your deck. You can only get one of these attacks at a time. Use
the same method to get Buuball Slam.
Hint:
Super Destruct Disk: Use the same method as used to acquire Buuball Slam and
Ultimate Kameha, but defeat Pure Evil Buu with Krillen.
Hint:
Ultimate Kamehameha, Buuball slam, S. Destruct Disk: The moves Ultimate Kamehameha, Buuball Slam, and Super Destruct
Disk do 60 damage.
