to the running state. However if done correctly you should do the Light
Dash/Light Attack after the complete deceleration of the speed.

If done correctly, you will go through the balcony. Quickly go through the
wall and fly to the entrance to Emerald Coast. Do not go back through the
wall. If you do not go to Emerald Coast, but are on the beach, do not jump
or go away from the gate or you will die and must start again. Just walk to

and break through the invisible barrier that blocks you. You will now be on
the front of the Egg Carrier. Walk to the edge and you will get underwater.

the ladder) and you may enter Icecap without climbing up the ladder.
Glitch:
Mystic Ruins: Die while climbing: As Knuckles, climb up and down Big's tree near his house at the
Mystic Ruins jungle. You will eventually hear and see a splash of water.
Tiny bubbles will also rise from Knuckles. Stay there for awhile and the
drowning music and counter will start. Let it finish, and you will fall off
the tree and drown in mid-air.
Glitch:
Mystic Ruins: Death rocks: Go to the Mystic Ruins as Knuckles. Go to the rocks in front of
the ice cave. Run into the rocks at your highest speed. If your view changes
so you cannot see Knuckles, you should hear him dying.

tower. When you get there, you should see that one of the structures is
turning into a statue of an Echidna.

yet, just charge up fully. When the doors open, release B or Y.
You should hit a wall that is not there.
Glitch:
Station Square: Run on water: As Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, or E-102, go to the boat in
Station Square that goes to the Egg Carrier. Once you are on the ship, go
down the stairs that takes you back to the boat. Once your down there,
rotate the camera so that you are facing the stairs (where you came from).
On the left side of the stairs, jump on the water and start running. You
should be running on the water. Note: Do not rotate the cameras while you
are on the water. If you do, you will fall and die.
Glitch:
Station Square: Internal hollowing: Go to the part near the hotel where the cars go in and out. With
Tails or Knuckles, go to that part in a ball. You should just roll in place.

Speed Highway Building. Rotate the camera with R and you should see
water and sky, but nothing else except cars going back and forth.
Glitch:

asleep. If you (in the flash back) jump into the fire, it should not hurt
you. While in the fire, charge up until Sonic says "Ready" and
wait until the fire goes around to you. Sonic will turn white for a little
while.
Glitch:

the level, he or she will still be floating in air, and you will still enter
the level.
Glitch:
Wind Valley: Clashing your shield: As Sonic, get a Ring Magnet Shield or a Regular Shield. Before
you get to the part when you run down the wall there are three Dash Panels

Silver
Chao egg: Go to the Mystic Ruins. Go to the water fall located in the
middle of the Adventure Field. Push the stone that is jutting out of the
wall to the right of the water fall. A silver egg will fall from behind the
waterfall and float to shore. When it hatches, a silver Chao will be born.
Golden
Chao egg: Go to the Station Square area. Then, go to the area when you
fought Chaos for the first time. Look to the side of the City Hall entrance
to find egg shaped rock. Take the rock to the building to the left from City
Hall. Walk to the window to see a golden Chao egg. However, if you try to
take it the front door will lock. Replace the egg with the rock and the door
will unlock, allowing you to leave with the egg. When the egg hatches you
will have a golden Chao.
After completing Speed Highway
with knuckles, go to the area where you destroyed the barricade. You should
find an egg-shaped rock there. Bring it to the shop with the gold egg on
display. Switch them, and bring the golden egg to the Chao Garden for a gold
Chao.
Black
and blue Chao egg: Go to the Egg Carrier. Then, go the jail area where Amy was kept.
In the cell next to where she was held is a black and blue egg. Step on the
switch to open the door. Take the egg to the garden. When it hatches, it
will be a dark grey and dark blue Chao.
Colored
Chao body parts: After evolving a colored Chao of a certain type, its wings and
antennae are the original color of that type.
Chaos
Chao: Reincarnate a Chao two times. Give it one of every animal. Feed
it a Chao fruit (resembles a Chao head). Then wait for evolution. Note: They
do not breed or change their appearance from animals.
Devil
Chao: Buy a red egg from the Black Market. Give the Chao from the red
egg dark fruits.
Ghost
Chao: This trick requires Sonic Advance or Sonic Advance 2
and a link cable. First, get a white clear Chao and give it all Bats.
Eventually, the Chao will lose its legs. Next, max out its swim, fly, power,
run (or in this case hover), and stamina. Send the Chao to a Game Boy
Advance with a game pak in it. Switch to Sonic Adventure DX and keep
the Game Boy Advance connected. Go to any Chao Garden in Sonic Adventure
DX and take the Chao out. Race it. It should rocket past every Chao, and
sometimes even Chacron. As a bonus, put your Chao over some water. It will
sometimes hover over it. Note: Make sure the Chao is not very old or it will
try kill itself constantly.
Gold
Chao: Near City Hall in Station Square, find a rock that resembles a
Chao Egg . Take it to the shop with the Gold Egg . Put the rock where the
egg is, then run out of the shop and take the Gold Egg to the Station Square
Garden. Leave the egg and save your Chao data. When you renter the garden,
the egg will still be there . Hatch the egg to get a Golden Chao.
NiGHTS
Chao: To get a Dark Chao whose head resembles that the main character
from NiGHTS, pet and feed it with Rouge. Eventually, the top part of
its head will swoop back. Evolve it, but do not abuse it. It will then have
its forehead and mouth covered.
Shining
Knuckles Chao: Buy a garnet or shiny red egg and never give it any animals. When
it goes into a pink cocoon, hatch the egg that comes out. Repeat that same
process. Once it is a baby for its third time, give it only one of each
animal, then feed it only Hero fruits until it evolves. When it evolves, it
should look just like Knuckles without the gloves, shoes, and nose.
Sonic
Chao: Get a normal colored chao, raise it with Sonic, and give it
running-type animals (Kangaroos recommended, as their ears resemble
Sonic's). Do not give it any Hero or Dark fruit, and it will soon evolve. It
will resemble Sonic, except it is green and still requires two more spikes.
Keep raising its running level, and it should start to turn blue. After its
second transformation, it should closely resemble Sonic.
Keep feeding your chao Rabbits.
It will soon grow spikes and turn blue in color.
Transparent
Chao: Mate any Shiny Chao with any Jewel Chao. Jewel Chao are from the Sonic
Advance games, and Gold and Silver Chao count as Jewel Chao. The Chao
that hatches should be completely see-through, except for its eyes, the ball
on its head and the expression on its face, if it has one.
Free
Chao: This trick requires a Game Boy Advance. After you are in the Chao
Garden and before you do anything else, remove your memory card. Go into the
shop and buy the Chao egg you want. You still need to have the rings that it
costs. Hatch the egg with any method desired. Once the Chao hatches, bring
it to the Chao Transporter. Without any cartridge inserted, deposit the Chao
in the Tiny Chao Garden. When the transfer is complete, the screen should
turn black and tell you there is no memory card in slot A (if you used slot
A). At this point, reset the Gamecube. When you reenter the Chao Garden, you
should have the same rings you had before starting this trick. Then, go to
the Chao Transporter and pick up the Chao out of the Game Boy Advance. This
trick works best on very expensive Chao eggs.
Free
Silver Chao egg: Go to the Mystic Ruins as any character. Go to the waterfall and
you will see a green platform. Jump on it (not the platform with the silver
egg that is nearly impossible to reach, but the low one that even Big can
get to). In the water after you jump on it, you will see the egg. Wait for
it get within reach. Grab it and take it to the Mystic Ruin Chao Garden. If
you want to hatch it quicker, throw it up onto the walls. It works better at
Station Square. Note: If jumping does not work, try pushing.
Reuse
animals: Get in a Chao Garden with some animals. Find a Chao that is not
moving or eating something. Get very close to it and release the animal. The
Chao will take its power. After that, the animal will just stand there. You
can reuse that animal again.
Raise
a Chao without animals: Use a skill fruit. However, you cannot make certain types of
Chaos (for example, Power Chaos). Alternately, there are fruits in Sonic
Advanced 2 that raise certain stats only (for example, Power).
Battles
Defeating
the whale: When on the whale stage(s), run over a speed ramp as soon as it
appears. Then, do not press anything on the controller; the CPU will do the
rest.
Defeating
Chaos 0: Get The Ancient Light. Do the Light Speed Attack on Chaos 0 and
he will be defeated with one hit.
Defeating
Chaos 2: This trick requires Knuckles' Maximum Heat Gloves. When fighting
Chaos 2, charge up Knuckles' Maximum Heat attack. Release B and Chaos
2 will use its shield. After a few seconds Chaos 2 will splash into a
puddle, indicating that it has been damaged. Do this two more times to
defeat Chaos 2. This strategy also causes you to lose your rings; do not
forget to pick them up again.
Defeating
Chaos 6: Wait until Eggman drops his freeze bombs. Then, use the homing
signal to turn his bombs into eggs and throw them into Chaos' mouth. He
should freeze. When he does, attack him. Repeat this as many times as
needed.
When playing as Knuckles, get
the Fighting Gloves then go to the trial (if you have already completed the
game). If you have not completed the game, you can find the Fighting Gloves
behind Big's house -- climb the wall, then go right until you find a ledge.
When you fight Chaos 6, freeze him, power up, then get close to him and
release the button. Repeat this two times.
As Sonic, use the Light Speed
attack on him. His health gauge will go down until only half is remaining.
Do the attack a second time to kill him. As Knuckles, use the Maximum Heat
attack on him.
Note: This does not work with
Big. Pick up the missiles that Robortnik/Eggman leaves on the ground and
throw them at Chaos 6. He will freeze and give you a chance to do a homing
attack him. Do this repeatedly and he will die. With Big, to defeat Chaos 6
fish to the circle when it appears. Get Froggy and you will win.
Defeating
Perfect Chaos: When starting, get as many rings as possible. Then, go over one
of the speed tracks to gain speed. Once you are glowing blue, speed straight
for Perfect Chaos and you should hit him. Repeat this as many times as
possible.
Hurt
Perfect Chaos at less than maximum speed: You can hurt Perfect Chaos without going top speed, although you
have to be fast. Go onto the road and speed up. Stop moving during that
until you are not in a Blue Shock ball, then quickly move into Chaos. If
done correctly, you will hurt him without going at maximum speed.
Perfect
Chaos face smash: As Super Sonic, go to the fight with Perfect Chaos. Instead of
hitting Chaos head on, go to either side of him. Try going into Chaos
through his arm. If done correctly, Super Sonic will fly up and smash Chaos
on his chin. Note: This does not do any more damage than the usual attacks.
Locations
Sonic
Stage 1 shortcut: On Sonic's first stage, when you are propelled upward by a
booster at the base of the level's highest ramp towards the end of the
level, spin dash up to gain extra air. You should see a later part of the
level. While falling, go towards there. If done correctly, you should make
it, cutting ten seconds off your time.
Casinopolis:
Destroy the capsule within five minutes: Go to Casinopolis as Sonic. To destroy the capsule within five
minutes to collect the emblem for level A, when you enter the Casinopolis,
go to either Sonic (blue) pinball or the Nights pinball. Once you go into
one of the pinballs, when you have less than 100 rings (for example, 20 or
30 rings), fall into the hole three times down to the garbage (Dilapidated
Way) and get 200 rings. After you climb up the ladder into the shower room,
exit the room, and go to the vault room to store 200 rings. Repeat the
process again to get the 200 rings. When you have the 200 rings and store it
in the vault, it will equal 400 rings. You will destroy the capsule before
five minutes to collect the emblem for level A. You can do this in adventure
mode or trial mode.
Casinopolis:
Take a shower: Go to the Casinopolis zone as Sonic and enter the shower area.
Get into one of the stalls and push against the wall to give Sonic a shower.
Casinopolis:
Ring room: Approach the little computer in front of the blue pinball machine
in the Casino Metropolis. Press the "Talk" button in front of the
computer. It will say "get 100 coins or less" and you will get a
surprise.
Casinopolis:
Cream appearance: After completing Casinopolis as Sonic or Tails for the first time
and after Robotnik a.k.a. Eggman flies away, you will see Cream the Rabbit
from Sonic Advance 2 fly around the Train Station.
Exit the Train Station using
the front door. Look up and you should see Cream flying. Fly up to her with
Tails for a better view.
Egg
Carrier: Emblems:
1. In the pool room on one of
the ledges.
2. Go in the rockets on the
big circular platform. They will launch you into little boxes that will
break. In one of them is an Emblem. You must be Sonic to do this. Note:
You many need to transform the ship.
3. Go into Robotnik's office
and press the switch that opens up his bed. Note: You may need to
transform the ship.
4. On top of the big
satellite dish. You must be Tails. Note: You may need to transform the
ship.
Egg
Carrier: Change shape: Go to the Egg Carrier crash site. Go to the cockpit where you
will find the switch. Press it and go outside. The shape will look
different. If you want to get to the inside from the front of the ship, use
the monorail or complete the Sky Deck stage. You only need to destroy the
capsule. If you want to change the ship's shape again, do it in the exactly
same way that you did it in adventure mode. The ship should be its normal
shape again.
Egg
Carrier: Easy "Whack-a-Sonic" win: As Amy, after acquiring the Warriors Feather and Long Hammer by
getting a score over 2000 at the "Whack-a-Sonic" game), you can
easily rack up points by standing in the center of the platform and using
your Hammer Spin attack. You will lose points for hitting Robotniks, but you
should be gaining more than you are losing if there are enough Sonics. Note:
You will not get any additional prizes for winning. If you spin too much you
will get dizzy, making it impossible to do anything for a short period of
time.
Egg
Carrier: Two different Metal Sonics: In the Egg Carrier, you can find a capsule containing Metal
Sonic. That Metal Sonic is the one from Sonic CD. However, in another
capsule you will find another Metal Sonic. This Metal Sonic resembles the
one that is fought with Knuckles and/or Sonic in Sonic and Knuckles.
To see the Metal Sonic closer,
go to the right of him. There will be a door and a cone-like object with
Eggman's symbol on it . Stand next to it and make sure to have the free
camera view on. Hold L and the screen will jump. Now, move closer to
the door. The screen will stop jumping and zoom. Then, use C stick to
look at Metal Sonic.
Emerald
Coast: More rings: On Emerald Coast (level 1) go back when you are at the beginning,
and then go to the right. You should find three capsules. Hit all of them
and you will get 30 rings. When you are at the green hill around the middle
of the level, do not go up it. Instead, go around to find three capsules.
Break them all to get 1, 5, 10, 20, or 40 rings.
Emerald
Coast: Sonic Super jump: As Sonic, go to the Emerald Coast level. Go to where you find the
second extra life capsule. Do a light speed dash into the slope from behind.
Sonic will jump very high and then fall to the ground.
Ice
Cap: Get up mountain: When you reach the end of the level as Sonic, do not complete it.
Instead, move to where it appears you cannot go to (the mountain) and Spin
Dash up. You should be able to go up.
Jungle:
Power Rod: When playing as Big The Cat, go to the jungle and follow the
river to his house. Stand in front of his bed and press a button. The Power
Rod upgrade gives you longer casting abilities.
Mystic
Ruins: Knuckles' Maximum Fighting Gloves: When you are in the area where Big's home and the Lost Ruins are
located, use Knuckles to fly to the very back end of that location. You will
see a small cliff. When you get off the mine cart, it will be directly ahead
in the distance. Once on the cliff, you will see a glowing light. With the
Gloves, you can do an attack much like Sonic's "Ancient Light",
only with Knuckles.
Mystic
Ruins: Extra life: Tail's workshop is located all the way at the top of the
mountains in the Mystical Ruins. Go to the very top and look around to find
an extra life. Use the spin attack to zoom over and collect it.
Mystic
Ruins: Sonic Pinball Party sign: After completing the game with all the characters and complete
Super Sonic, check on Mystic Ruins by Tail's house. You will find a sign
that reads "Sonic Pinball Party!".
Mystic
Ruins: Emblems:
1. On a ledge across the way
from Miles' workshop.
2. In mid-air between the
Emerald Shrine and the cliff. You have to be Knuckles to get it.
3. In the tree by the
mentally impaired cat's house.
4. In the jungle -- you will
find it by accident.
Station
Square: Emblems:
1. Above the train station
entrance.
2. Very high in the air right
above the spot where the Ice Cap key fell.
3. In the burger restaurant.
4. By the Town Hall, you have
to be Tails. Whip your tails around the grassy area to uncover it in the
same way you get the secret rings.
Station
Square: Opening doors: After you see the ID card for the big shed that you go to Speed
Highway 6, go all the way back to where Knuckles has his first stage (Speed
Highway 1). Go left to find an egg-shaped rock Use that rock in the store in
Station Square with the Gold Chao Egg in the window. Take the gold one off
the platform and put the rock on that same platform and the doors will
unlock and open.
Station
Square: Cream appearance: When you first go to Station Square as E102 Gamma, you can see
Cream from Sonic Advanced 2 flying out of Twinkle Park.
Station
Square: Twinkle Circuit in adventure mode: As any character, go to the little patch of grass near the
entrance to Speed Highway (the one you go in as Sonic or Tails). A pass will
be there. Pick it up and take it to Twinkle Park. You can now get into
Twinkle Circuit. Note: You may need to complete the game to do this. You can
also play Twinkle Park as anyone in trail mode.
Station
Square: Unlimited rings: Play as Knuckles and dig until you get to the magnet barrier.
Then, go to the Hotel Lobby and run up the stairs. You will see two buttons.
Press the one that brings the trail of rings with the magnet. You will
attract the closest ring. Note: Stay on the button or the rings will not
reappear. Allow the game to idle and you should get a large number of rings.
To save them, play the Speed Highway level and try to collect the three
Emeralds without dying. The rings are now yours.
Twinkle
Park: Cream appearance: Play as Big, and when he comes out of Twinkle Park, Cream from Sonic
Advanced 2 will be flying to the left of it, lower to the ground.
Twinkle
Park: Big's Rod Upgrade 1: Go behind Twinkle Park to the place where you had to fly as
Tails. You will see the upgrade in the sewer.
Characters
Easy
Rings as Amy: The Long Hammer is required for this trick. At the Station Square
area, go into the place where Sonic got his Crystal Ring. At the top of the
stairs, press the button that makes the trail of rings appear that lead to
the room where Sonic got the Crystal Ring. Approach the first ring in the
path very slowly. Try to get the ring as far as away as you can from it.
When you get that ring, turn around in the same place so you are facing that
button. Hit the button with the hammer. You will get one ring. Keep doing
this from the same location to get more rings. This is slightly difficult to
do.
Easy
rings with Sonic: When you are at Casinopolis, go to the slot machines and press Jump
twice. This will make rings appear from the slot machines.
Go in front of the casino.
Press the button that makes a line of rings. Keep pressing the button and
another line of rings will appear. Light Speed Dash repeatedly until
satisfied.
Unlock mission mode, then go to
the pool behind the hotel. Grab the mission card. It will tell you to get
100 rings and return to the Sonic X billboard (next to the pool). Go to the
entrance of Casinopolis. Press the button used to unlock the doors to
Casinopolis. Charge your Light Dash and collect the rings. Repeat this until
you have 100 rings and return them to the Sonic X billboard.
You can get easy rings for
Sonic in adventure mode. There are two ways. For the first, go to the place
where you get the Crystal Ring. For the second, go before the entrance of
Casinopolis (easier). Push the switch and nine rings will appear each time.
You can collect over 999 rings. Until you get a certain amount of rings, you
can go in a level and the number of rings will already be displayed. Note:
This will not work if you go in Casinopolis, since the rings you have
collected will drop down to zero.
Easy
coins with E-102 in Adventure Field: Go to Station Square and in the hotel, go up the stairs to the
second floor. Stand at the very top step. Shoot your laser at the second
button on the floor. Keep shooting to get coins.
Easy
coins with Tails: Find a patch of dark green grass. Move over and stand on it, then
twirl your tail around. A group of coins will appear out of nowhere.
Easy
rings for Tails: As Tails, fly up and ring the bell which appears around the
halfway point of Speed Highway. About 40 rings will pour out of the bell.
Easy
rings for Knuckles: Go into to the entrance for Red Mountain, but do not go in all
the way inside. Dig at the entrance and many rings will almost always
appear.
Extra
lives for Knuckles: With Knuckles in Station Square, dig repeatedly on any patch of
grass (the best being the triangle in front of the hotel) until you find an
electric shield. With the shield, go upstairs in the hotel and stand on the
button that creates rings for Sonic to get his power-up. The rings will
continue to replenish after being drawn into the electric shield. The rings
will keep appearing until you have 999. Note: Getting the shield may take
some time.
Catching
fish with Big: In the Gamecube version, cast your rod anywhere in the water.
After you get a hit, press A + X. The fishing meter will
almost always stay in the blue area and you will get your fish. It is
suggested that you get the best rod power-up first.
Number
of missions for each character: There are a total of 60 missions in the game, as follows:
Sonic: 25
Tails: 8
Knuckles: 9
Amy: 5
E-102 Gamma: 5
Big The Cat: 8
Amy
picture for E-102 Gamma: When playing as E-102 Gamma and are hovering down to Mystic Ruins
on a event, memories will appear in your head. The picture of Amy is
actually the Amy from Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast.
Sonic
and Shadow: Successfully complete the game with all six characters. Then,
select Super Sonic at the character selection screen in adventure mode.
Follow into the game and Tikal's spirit will take you back to the past.
Watch the intermission sequence and it will show Sonic with a black color
and a reddish set of stripes, like Shadow from Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic
Adventure 2: Battle.
Items
Crystal
Ring: As Sonic, after you have the Light Speed Shoes, stand in front of
the door on the left side where the Crystal Ring is located. Charge up your
Light Speed Dash and it should hit the button on the other side of the door.
Then, go in and get the Crystal Ring.
Fighting
Gloves: Go to Big's Treehouse as Knuckles. Climb up until you see a
ledge, then walk to the end of the ledge. Once there, you will find the
Fighting Gloves.

Train
Station Sonic Emblem: There is a Sonic Emblem in the Station Square Train Station that
you can get with Tails. But there is also a way to get it with other
characters (except perhaps Big). As you walk in, the Sonic Emblem is right
above you. Walk to the train but do not go in. Instead, head right or left.
There should be a small ledge, or railing there. Use the ledge to walk to a
loft type object. That is where the emblem is located.
Play as Knuckles and go to the
other side of Station Square. Go to the hamburger place where the women
wanted to make out with the man. There are four trees on each side. Go the
right and dig in the middle of the tree to find an Emblem.
Sonic
X poster: After you complete all of Sonic's missions in adventure mode,
play mission mode as Sonic. Go to the pool in the hotel where you started
off Sonic's story. Go into the pool and start a mission by touching the tag
in the pool. The mission is "Collect 100 rings, and go to the poster by
the pool". Look closely at the poster to see that it is a picture of
Sonic and a brown-haired boy, with the logo for "Sonic X", a new
Sonic cartoon show coming soon to FoxBox.
