Cheat
mode:
In the shop and several other places around Dinosaur Plant are wells that
ask you to feed them Scarabs. Feed them twenty Scarabs and you will get a
Cheat Token. Go to the Warp Stone Guardian (the large stone guardian) and
enter the maze. It will take some wandering before you find a well inside.
Open your inventory, highlight a Cheat Token, then press A. This will
unlock a cheat or give you a hint. To activate the cheats, save the game,
return to the main menu, and select "Options". The cheats include
"Audio Test", "Credits", and "Dinosaur
Language".
Hint:
All maps cheaper:
Go to the store and purchase each map. He will tell you how much they are,
but sometimes you can lower the price and get them for less along with the
rest of the items he sells.
Hint:
Free Bomb Spores:
Find a full grown Bomb Spore shoot it with the staff's fire power-up to get
three Bomb Spore Seeds.
Hint:
Small Scarab Bag: After you rescue Tricky, go to where the SnowHorn is located.
Look around until Tricky can dig. After he digs, you will get the SnowHorn's
food. Feed the hungry SnowHorn and he will give you the Small Scarab Bag,
which holds 50 Scarabs.
Hint:
Hi-Def Binoculars: You can find the Hi-Def Binoculars that Slippy dropped in the
store for 20 Scarabs.
Hint:
Snow Horn Key:
Collect six White Grub Tubs for the Queen to get the key to Snow Horn .
Hint:
Cape Claw: Avoid paying the Sharpclaw guard:
Instead of paying the guard 25 scarabs, go around to the back of the
walkway. In the water, there is a rock with a rocket pad on it. You can use
it to get up on to the wooden walkway where the Hightop is located. When you
leave, the guard will let you through and you will not have to pay.
Hint:
Cape Claw: Energy bar upgrade:
You must have the Portal Device ability. Go behind in the cave where the
Sharp Claw is located, near the cannon. Use the Portal Device on the door.
Enter and defeat the Sharp Claw, use the cannon, and shoot the cracked rock.
Go inside and get the energy bar upgrade.
Hint:
Cloud Runners Fortress: Escaping the dungeon:
Once you get captured by General Scales, he takes your staff. You will need
to get it back. To do this, get out of the room you are in and follow the
hallway. Once you get there, you will see that a Sharp Claw has your staff.
Go around him and do not step in any puddles or the Sharp Claw will wake up.
Go down the hallway that is past the Sharp Claw and go to the room with the
air vent. Pick up one of the bombs and put it on the vent. Then, go over to
the switch and stand there until the bomb exploses in the air. The ceiling
will break. Slippy can now send you the Sharp Claw disguise. Use it and go
next to the Sharp Claw that is sleeping on the desk. There will be an
intermission sequence. He will leave. You can now grab your staff. First,
open all the cages that are in the room. Save the dinosaur that is in the
cage. He will follow you out and give you something in return for saving
him. Get out of the dungeon to continue with the game.
Hint:
Icy Mountain: Cheat Token:
Go all the way to the left at the beginning. You will see a crack. Use a
bomb spore to blow it up. Pay 20 Scarabs for the Cheat Ttoken inside. It
will unlock a sound test mode.
Hint:
Ice Mountain: Race:
If you are having trouble winning in the race, you can do one of two things.
Either try to knock them off their bikes or jump any hill you can that helps
take the lead.
Ride on hills until you pass up
the Dino Soldiers. To ensure that the race is yours, slam on the brakes once
in the small tunnel. The Dino Soldiers will be stuck behind you, and they
will continue to crash into you and each other. Eventually each of them will
die. After this, you can take as much time as desired.
In the jet bike race before you
meet Tricky, do not win the race the first time. When the game takes you
back to the cave it will not repeat the intermission sequence. Do not get on
the jet bike yet. Instead, go into the tunnels. Each will contain a fuel
cell.
Try to find the shortcut along
the deeper snow to get in first place. Then, quickly find a tunnel and stop
in it. Hold B and the two dinosaurs will keep bumping until they
disappear. Then, continue and win the race.
Hint:
Krazoa Shrine 3: Fear Test:
Do not take your eyes off the meter for any reason. Since you cannot pause
during that test, it is important you watch the bar the entire time.
Sometimes it helps to press Control-stick Left and Control-stick
Right back and forth. However, do not count on this to save you, as the
bar will suddenly jerk to one side.
Hint:
Lightfoot Village: Snake Totem: To open the way to the next Krazoa spirit in the Lightfoot
Village, climb up on the boxes and hit the switch. Then, use your flame shot
to stop the snake totem pieces when the pictures on each section line up,
one by one.
Hint:
Lightfoot Village: Cheat Token: Go to one of the houses. A Lightfoot will ask you to find his
three children who like to play in the woods. Go to where you can get in the
wooded area around the whole village (by the tribe leader's shrine and climb
up. There will be blue shining things in the air. You must chase the kids
into it. Once they are all back, talk to the father and he will reveal a
rocket boost pad. Use the rocket boost pad and head forward until you get
into the half of the forest that was blocked by a log. Explore there and you
will find a Cheat Token Well.
Hint:
Lightfoot Village: Reentry: If you leave Lightfoot Village and cannot get back in because of
the locked gate, you must hit the trees with targets in a certain order.
First, hit the one closest to the gate, then the one furthest from the gate,
and finally the one in the middle. The gate will now be unlocked.
Hint:
Moon Mountain Pass: Cheat Token: Plant a Moonseed at the indicated location before Krazoa Shrine 2
to get to a well. Get the Cheat Token for unlocking the Dinosaur Language
setting.
Hint:
Moon Mountain Pass: Staff ground quake upgrade: There will be a rock that you can flip. The upgrade is under the
rock.
Hint:
Moon Mountain Pass: Medium Scarab Bag: Go to the Volcano Point Temple. Complete that area and the stone
man will give you a Medium Scarab Bag. The entrance to the Moon Mountain
Pass is near the well in Thorntail Hollow.
Hint:
Moon Mountain Pass: See Andross: The Krazoa statue in Moon Mountain path is Andross.
Hint:
Moon Temple: Go through door: When you are in the invisible maze in the Moon Temple, if you
make it to the end of the maze but fail on the way, the door to the
Moonstone will start to shut slowly. If you time your speed correctly, you
can quickly do a somersault under the door before it slams shut.
Hint:
Ocean Force Point Temple: Save time: This trick is useful when navigating the winding stone paths over
the Fungus Turtle-infested waters while attempting to place the first Water
Spellstone. When you have taken the center path and activated the switch at
the end, start back down. However, instead of turning at the first turn,
jump off onto the lower path. If you have not activated the switch at the
end of this path, go ahead and move straight to it. Otherwise, turn left to
the origin of all three paths.
Hint:
Red Eye King's Lair: Staff super ground quake upgrade: Proceed until you see a Bomb Spore planting location. Plant a
Bomb Spore there, then blow it up.
Hint:
Thorntail Hollow: Easy Scarabs: Go into the Thorntail store and head down to the game. Do not go
into the game room. Instead, turn around and go through the wall opposite
the entrance to the game room. There will be a rock that you can lift for
Scarabs.
In the Thorntail store, go to
where you normally play the Scarb grabbing mini-game. Go out of that room
and you will see a wall with all sorts of designs. Run directly into the
wall. There are a lot of surprises where the floating sales was, including
find a rock you can lift with a lot of effort for 30 Scarabs.
When you are in the Thorntail
store, go down to the game room. Look at the wall opposite the game room.
Walk through where the wall is sticking out slightly. Once inside, lift the
rock to find two or three Red Scarabs.
Look under the rocks by the sea
with the staff. There will be two red Scarabs, each worth five. Leave, then
repeat for more Scarabs. The small rocks on the land have three green
Scarabs, each worth one.
Go to the store and play the
Scarab game. Gamble one to three Scarabs. Find them within the time limit to
double your Scarabs.
Hint:
Thorntail Hollow: Re-lighting the torches: To re-light the torches, find the tree in the Hollow that has
branches on fire. Strike the tree to cause these flames to drop. Then,
strike them with your staff to douse the flames. Collect three of these and
put one in each of the three torches scattered through the hollow. Then,
have Tricky use his Flame on them to light the torches. Once all three are
lit, you will receive the key to Moon Mountain Pass
Hint:
Thorntail Hollow: Cheat Token: Find the Cheat Token in the lobby of the store. Get it to unlock
the staff credits.
Hint:
Thorntail Hollow: Staff energy upgrade: There is a staff energy upgrade located near the entrance to the
SnowHorn Wastes. You must use a Bomb Spore to reach it.
Hint:
Thorntail Hollow: Staff rocket boost upgrade: Look for a rocket boost pad to the left of the store entrance. Go
up it and plant a Bomb Spore. Blow it up, then go inside of it. Shoot the
targets to get it.
Hint:
Thorntail Hollow: Staff fire blast upgrade: The staff fire blast upgrade can be found in a cave in Thorntail
Hollow.
Hint:
Thorntail Hollow: Scarabs and health: When you have Bomb Plant Spores, go to the waterfall. Plant a
Bomb Spore, then shoot. It will open a passageway inside. Note: Stand back
when shooting the Bomb Spore.
Hint:
Thorntail Hollow: SnowHorn Artifact: The most expensive item in the ThornTail store the SnowHorn
Artifact. Buy the artifact and return it to the Blue SnowHorn. He will
challenge you to find a series of dinosaur horn pads before time expires. If
you successfully complete his challenge, he will open a small cave which
leads to the Krazoa Test Of Strength.
Hint:
Thorntail Hollow: Bomphdad and CloudRunner: On top of the store is a mountain-like hill with a Bomphdad on
top. Use the boost pad near the store to get up to where you get the Staff
Meter upgrade and turn to your left. There is a baby CloudRunner like the
ones you saved on CloudRunner Fortress. Use the flute. It will fly up and
get the Bomphdad and bring it down for you, then fly away. Note: You must
have already gone to CloudRunner Fortress and have obtained the flute.
Hint:
Thorntail Hollow: Maze: When you get a cheat token and go to the game maze under the warp
stone in Thorntail Hollow, simply follow the left wall and it will lead you
to the center.
Hint:
Thorntail Hollow: Bargain price: In the store, you can save money by bargaining with the shop
owner She will say that you can buy something for a certain amount. Press Analog-stick
Up or Analog-stick Down to bargain a price with the shop owner.
Hint:
Thorntail Hollow: Angry storekeeper: Go into the shop in Thorntail Hollow and buy an item. Lower the
price and ask for the price three times. The storekeeper will become angry
and throw you out of the shop.
Hint:
Thorntail Hollow: See Fox breathe: Go to the Store's item area. If you remain still, you should be
able to see Fox breathe.
Hint:
Volcano Force Temple: Cheat Token: After you place the Spell Stone obtained from the first Boss,
leave the temple. When you are leaving, you wukk hear a voice of a person
who needs help. A Krazoa Spirit appears and tells you that you have to help
her by defeating the monster that appears. The Krazoa Spirit opens a large
round door. Go through it and get the Earthquake upgrade for the Staff. You
must now defeat the monster. First, use the Earthquake attack and the
monster will spin in a circle once or twice. While he is spinning, attack
the purple scar on his back. Repeat this one more time, then take the Moon
Seed from him. Return to the temple. When you get to the point where you had
to put the Force Stone on the floor, the gate slides to the side, giving you
a way to the temple. Defeat the armored Sharp Claw then walk to the left
ledge. You will climb down a wall. Next, go all the way over to the patch of
dirt. Plant the Moon Seed and get Tricky to use his Fire command. The plant
will grow, leading you to a well. Give it 20 Scarabs and it will give you a
Cheat Token.
Hint:
Volcano Force Temple: Staff ice blast upgrade: The staff ice blast upgrade is in the Volcano Force Point Temple.
You will find a room with a huge torch. Hit the lever and you will have a
certain amount of time to light the torch spots.
Hint:
Walled City: First tooth: To get to the first tooth, you need to kill all of the Red Eyes
that are circling the building. To kill them, you will need to get the
Superquake for your staff. After killing all four Red Eyes, on the very top
of the high mountain is a door that will open. There will be an intermission
sequence that shows its location. Go inside there and open the chest. The
sun tooth will be inside. Bring to the King Earth Walker and place it inside
the statue's tooth.
Hint:
Walled City: Second tooth: Find all the Earth Walker soldiers. Beside them will be trees.
Look in the trees to find switches to hit with the flame shooter. Hit all of
them and a ring will appear in the stream. Go through the ring to start a
challenge race. Complete it to get the second tooth.
Hint:
Find the Queen Earth Walker: Get the staff and the fireball upgrade (in a cave in Thorntail
Hollow). Go to a place with a stone fence-type thing. There will be a red
target up above the door inside the fence. Shoot it, defeat the Sharp Claw,
then go through the door.
Hint:
Defeating Andross/Krazoa God: After a long intermission sequence, you will hop in your Arwing
and fly up to the Krazoa God and discover that it is Andross. This is the
toughest Boss in the entire game.
Phase 1: Shoot out the eyes
and the star on the forehead, but make sure to avoid the ring beam he
shoots out. If it hits you, it will do a lot of damage. However, it moves
slowly, so you should be okay. After you shoot out the flashing blue
areas, he will flip over and reveal himself. You need to hit the flashing
diamonds on his hands while avoiding his blows. After he strikes at you
three times, he will spit out a flurry of asteroids. If you have been hit,
try to fly through the two silver rings among the asteroids. Keep blasting
in the center of the screen and you will not get hit much, if at all.
After that, he will try to inhale you. At this point, bank hard to the
right and keep pressing R button to barrel roll repeatedly. This
will continue until he swallows you or you destroy his hands. If he
swallows you, you will be back at the beginning and have to start all over
again.
Phase 2:When you have
destroyed both his hands, he will flip over and you will face the Krazoa
God again. However, this time he will spit ships at you after the ring
beam. Try to avoid them and shoot them down only if you can. You need to
reserve as much of your life as possible. Shoot out the eyes and the
diamond on the forehead again and he will flip back to Andross.
Phase 3: This is the same as
the Andross in Phase 1, except after he strikes at you three times, he
will shoot ring beams from his palms. Shoot out his hands again and he
will try inhaling you again. You cannot escape it this time. However, just
before you get inhaled, Falco Lombardi will appear. After a bombing and a
remark, the battle resumes. He will start launching ships and ring beams
at you. You need to avoid these and conserve your life. When he spits out
the asteroids, grab the silver ring. There is only one at this point. Even
if you miss the ring, make sure you get the S Box Falco drops for a bomb.
When Andross tries to inhale you again, fire the Nova Bomb directly into
his mouth. If you missed the shot, pull hard to the right as before. If
you hit him, Andross will turn transparent and you will be able to see his
brain. Pump as much plasma into him as you can with your blasters, but be
careful. He will charge you three times. Just keep repeating this until
you destroy him. Note: His life status is displayed on the bottom of the
screen when he turns transparent.
When you regain control of the
Arwing, aim for the Krazoa's eyes and the jewel on the forehead. When
Andross turns around to attack himself, aim for the hands. After his
attacks, he will spit out meteors. Just fire and collect the health rings.
When he begins to inhale you, quickly press L or R to make the
Arwing spin. If Andross does not chew you up, continue shooting his hands
until they are both destroyed. Andross will turn to his Krazoa face. Dodge
the beams and aim for the eyes and forehead jewel. Watch out for those
kamikaze planes. After completing this, repeatedly attack Andross and his
hands should be gone. After a while, he will inhale you. Use L or R
until the Arwing flies a straight path into his mouth. Falco will appear and
help you. When Andross tries to inhale you, Falco will drop some bomb
power-ups. Collect them. After the meteors and the kamikaze planes, he will
inhale you. Aim for the tongue. Once you fire and hit the tongue, his brain
will be exposed. Fire on that and repeat this process to defeat him.
After you shoot a bomb into his
mouth, he will try to hit you with his head. Swerve to the top right-hand
corner . In between hits, shoot him. Repeat this until you defeat him.
First, Andross will look like a
metal mask with glowing eyes and a diamond on its forehead. Attack the
glowing parts while avoiding the beams that Andross shoots from its mouth.
Once the first side of its head is defeated, Fox will realize that the
monster is Andross. Andross' attacks are the same beam that it used on the
first side of its head, except there are two beams intertwining and two new
things. First, Andross will try to suck you up into his mouth along with
debris in space. Avoid this attack by swerving (L or R) in any
direction. The second new attack is that he will simply try to crush you
with his two hands. Andross has two diamonds on his hands. Destroying these
can be tricky, as his hands move back and forth. Repeat this process and you
should win. Also, Fox's friend Falco will eventually appear and help by
dropping laser cubes.
Hint:
Defeating Drakor (Dragon Rock Boss): This Boss is easy. You must attack him when he is facing you. His
life meter is at the bottom. Once he is defeated, you will get the final
SpellStone.
Hint:
Defeating the Egg Stealers: Make sure that your staff power meter is full and assign the
"Quake" ability to Y. Once you enter the cave and the Egg
Stealers begin appearing, knock them out by pressing A button until
the room gets full. Make sure not to let any Egg Stealers get closer than
half way back to their hole. Then use the Quake (Y), which will
destroy all of the Egg Stealers that are present. They appear at first, then
pick up speed. Four to five Quakes should take care of them. Do not overuse
the Quake or you will run out of power before time runs out.
Hint:
Defeating Galdon: Use Tricky's flame command (when you are able to) and attack the
part of him that is highlighted. He will inhale you in him. Attack the
dangling part. He will spit you out and then inhale through his neck. While
he is doing so, shoot a fireball in his neck. He will inhale you again.
Attack the dangling part and you will get the Spellstone
Have Tricky stay in front of
Galdon. Highlight fire blaster and press Y to put it on standby, then
move to the tail area. Attack his tail repeatedly by hitting it with the
staff. It will eat you. Attack its tonsils with your staff. He will spit you
out. Press Y repeatedly. When your meter is low, attack a plant and
replenish. The plants grow back. Use the boxes to keep your health at full.
They will regenerate after a little while. Then, when his heart runs out of
health, he will eat you again. Attack his tonsil again and he will spit you
out, along with the first Spellstone.
Hint:
Defeating General Scales: Before you fight General Scales, assign the Sharpclaw Disguise to
Y. When he drops down, put on your disguise. He will chase you and
not attack unless you take it off. If you fall out of the ring, he will not
move.
Hint:
Defeating Muscle Foot: Note: This trick requires a controller with an auto-fire feature.
Set the auto-fire to A and hold that button.
To quickly defeat the Muscle
Foot in the Test Of Strength in Lightfoot Village, take your index finger
and thumb and press them together; Use the nail on your index finger to rub A
quickly.
Hint:
Defeating Red Eyes Boss: To defeat the Red Eyes Boss and get the Third Spell Stone, you
need to catch him in the electrical fields created by standing on the
glowing buttons. To make this easy, look for the cages that contain the
explosive barrels. Thenm use your Fire Blast to hit the buttons above the
cage. Pick up a barrel and wait for him to go to that hallway. Wait until he
is almost finished roaring, then step on the button. When he falls down, hit
him with the barrel. Each time you do this, the space between the buttons
will decrease. Be careful and time it well. He also will double back
sometimes and come at you from the other side. If you need to avoid him, run
into the open areas in the center block. He cannot hit you there.
Use the following trick to get
the explosive to the Boss in time. First, get in a hiding hole and let him
pace you. When he does, get behind him and follow him until you reach an
electrical pad. Then, after he is on the other side of the arena, shoot the
panel to open the cage with the explosive in it but do not leave it there.
Pick it up and take it with you. Next, when you have the explosive and the
Red Eye has seen you, wait about one second when he starts to roar (when the
lines appear from his mouth), then step on the electrical panel. When he is
shocked you will have more than enough time to run over to throw the
explosive. Note: Throw the bomb at his ear when he turns his head. Repeat
the process three more times to get the Spell Stone and start the
intermission sequence.
Hint:
Defeating Sharpclaws: When you are battling Sharpclaws, press R to block, then
attack them with a combo; or press X to roll when you see the heart
over their head.
Hint:
Beacons: When you have to set alight the beacons, go to the Fire Weed tree
and get some Fire Weed. One beacon is above the river in Thorntail Hollow.
The second is near the Warp Stone. The third on the way to Light Foot
Village, just as you leave Thorntail Hollow.
Hint:
Collecting the second Spellstone: After the intermission, you have to hit the Sharpclaw with the
Spellstone, but you also have to hit two Sharpclaws to get to him and run
over boost pads to gain some energy. The bike does not have the potential
like the first time rode it.
Hint:
Chasing General Scales: In the parts of the game that you are on a motorcycle following
Scales, before riding, put fuel cells to be used with Y. This will
give a little more speed that can make these parts easier.
Hint:
Attack combos: Hold Down + A and when your staff starts to light
up, hold A to get a strong attack combo.
To do combos in a fight, press Analog-stick
Up, Analog-stick Down, Analog-stick Left, or Analog-stick
Right while attacking.
To do additional moves, roll
with X then immediately tap A. You will do a flip, and if you
hit your enemy, you will fly in the air, spin your staff around, and hit the
enemy. If you press X + Right then immediately tap A,
you will trip up your opponent which will do a lot of damage. For a quick
dodging move, press X + Back.
In battle (best against large
Sharpclaw with axe), when they are on the floor press Up and press X
+ A to do a slice attack. Then your staff with spin on your hand and
attack. If your opponent cannot block, then they do not have to be on the
floor.
Hint:
Avoid damage: This trick can be done at any time or area, except in Arwing
mode. When you are walking, hold L. Fox will kneel and a blue
"shield" should envelope him. You can hold it as long as desired,
and nothing can hurt you.
Hint:
Avoid damage from short falls: Press X just before you hit the ground to roll and avoid
damage.
Hint:
Restore health: If you are near a warp, you can warp out of a room with boxes
filled with health. Then, warp back. The health will be back in the boxes.
Hint:
Staff combo: When fighting a Sharp Claw hold Control-stick Down and
press A.
Hint:
Gold bars for the Hightop:
The first gold bar is in the
northeast corner of the beach. Tricky digs it up.
For the second gold bar, swim
across the western beach and have Tricky dig it up.
For the third gold bar, have
Tricky burn up a patch of briars. You have to defeat two larger types of
Sharp Claws. Tricky will then have to dig it up.
The fourth gold bar is buried
under a Sharp Claw crate near the jail cell.
Hint:
Krazoa Test Number 5 (The Test Of Knowledge): When doing this test, you have to match up items you found in the
game and where you found them.
Put the Totem piece in front
of the Lightfoot Village.
Put the Dinosaur horn in front of the Snowhorn Wastes.
Put the Cloudrunner horn in front of the Cloudrunner Fortress.
Put the Meteor in front of the space image.
Put the Moonseed in front of Moon Mountain Pass.
Put the Gold tooth in front of the Walled City.
Hint:
Sharp Claw disguise: Wear the Sharp Claw disguise to avoid fights. However, you cannot
hold your staff while wearing it.
Hint:
Tricky spits fire: When you have Tricky and he has learned the fire ability,
repeatedly hit him. He will get mad and blow fire at you.
Hint:
Tricky on fire: If you go near a fire with Tricky, he will catch on fire.
Hint:
Easier battles with Tricky: Attack someone with Tricky nearby. When you are fighting someone,
tell him to use his flame. He will attack the opponent and do a lot of
damage to him.
Hint:
Attacking Tricky: It is possible to beat on Tricky without him flaming you. Go into
some water and wade in it until Tricky cannot touch bottom and is swimming
while you are still standing. Get your staff and beat on him as much as
desured, He will not set you afire because he is in water. However, this
will not stop him from yelling at you.
Hint:
Alternate Tricky colors: At the store in the Thorntail Hollow, buy a rubber ball and play
fetch with Tricky. If you play with him for awhile (usually a day and half),
he will change colors, and will keep changing colors if you keep playing
with him.
The purpose of Tricky's Ball is
to reduce the intake of GrubTubs everytime Tricky performs an action. The
color change simply indicates that Tricky will now use less GrubTub when
using one of his abilities. For example, Tricky will change colors up to
three times. After the third change, the Flame action will only use up one
half of a GrubTub.
Hint:
Finding items with Tricky: You can find several items if you have Tricky dig up the little
dirt patches scattered around. There are two upgrades for more carrying
power. One is located by the store under a dirt patch. Another is in Snow
Horn Wastes under a dirt patch.
Hint:
Sleeping Tricky: Allow the game to idle and Tricky will eventually fall asleep.
Hint:
Laughing Tricky: Go into battle with Tricky and prolong the fight. Tricky will
eventually laugh.
Hint:
Tricky does not return: Buy the ball from the shop. Then, go to the Queen's garden (just
in front of the throne room). Stand in a corner and throw the ball into the
open. Tricky will go after it and not return until you go after him.
Hint:
Tricky falls down ladder: Go to any ladder and climb up. Call for Tricky and slide down the
ladder. If you wait for him, he sometimes drops down the ladder in front of
you.
Hint:
Hidden figures in credits: View the credits, and at the very beginning, look at the blurry
blue and pink section of stars to the left. If you look at it closely, you
will see thefigure of Falco (bird character) being kissed on the forehead by
Kat (cat character from StarFox 64). Kat is pink and is facing right,
and Falco is blue and is facing left.
Glitch:
Introduction sequence: Allow the game to idle at the title screen until the introduction
sequence begins. During the sequence, note that Fox has only 3 life points
the entire time and has only a small staff magic meter. No matter what area
he is in the game, he still has the minimum of life points and magic points.
It is impossible to do this during the actual game.
Glitch:
Krystal's Staff in ending sequence: At the end of the game when you are back on the main ship, the
intermission sequence shows Fox with Krystal's Staff on his back, even
though he left it with Krystal back on Dinosaur Planet.
Glitch:
No rain at Krazoa palace: After you get the first Krazoa Spirit with Fox, go into the dark
area. If you go back outside, you will hear the rain, but do not see it.
Glitch:
Curtain wall: In the Thorntail Store, go to the scarab game. There will be a
single wall on the opposite side of the entrance to the game. You can go
through that wall and you will hear a sound as if you just went through a
curtain.
Glitch:
Mushrooms: If you walk by a mushroom that shakes spores, press R to
put up your shield. Fox will cough as if he inhaled spores, but will not
take damage.
Glitch:
Tail disappearance: On Dragon Rock, after you meet the EarthWalker, stand where you
can see his tail and press Start. The tail will disappear. If you
save the game, the tail will be restored while the screen is darkened, but
will vanish again when returns to the communicator menu. Resume the game
however, and the tail will come back. Note: This was done with that
particular EarthWalker and the CloudRunner that you later save. This
CloudRunner does not appear to lose anything while paused.
Glitch:
Floating Grubtub: Freeze a Grubtub while it is in the air. It will not fall, but
will instead float.
Glitch:
Full Of Grubtub: Throughout the game, Tricky may say, "FOOD!" even
though he is stuffed and you cannot carry any more.
Glitch:
Tricky transforms: Allow the game to idle for awhile, then start playing again.
Tricky will laugh, then sometimes turn into his original polygon form.
Glitch:
Krystal's thong: At the beginning of the game, when you are Krystal at Krazoa
Palace, go to the nearest ladder. Make sure you are climbing down and not
up. As soon as Krystal begins climbing down the ladder, pause game play. Her
"kilt" should be going through her body, making it seem like a
thong.
Glitch:
Fall through level: In Cloud Runner Fortress, after the part where you have to save
the Queen Cloudrunner's babies, go to the cage where the Queen is located.
Zoom up with your high definition display device, then allow the game to
idle. When you resume the game and are about to approach the cage, you will
fall through the entire fortress and get stuck in the clouds.
After saving all the
Cloudrunner Queen's babies, you may fall through the sky when the Queen is
not there. To avoid this, exit the Cloudrunner Fortress, go into orbit, and
fly to Dinosaur Planet. Then, travel to Cape Claw. The gate should already
be unlocked. Travel through the maze to the other side, then go through the
tunnel, where you will find a series of spiraling platforms. Do not go down.
Instead, travel back through the tunnel and back through the maze. Then,
backtrack to Thorntail Hollow and go back into orbit. Fly back into
Cloudrunner Fortress and travel to the Queen. When you enter the room, the
Queen should be there and will unlock the door you need to enter.
Glitch:
Never ending sound: At Cloudrunner Fortress immediately before the hoverbike race,
light a Firefly to see where to put the explosive. Still have the Firefly
when the intermission sequence with General Scales starts. You will still
hear the buzzing Firefly sound during the intermission sequence, the bike
race, and all the way back to Thorntail Hollow. Save, quit, and reload the
same file to return to normal.
Glitch:
Floating ripples: At the entrance to the Water Force Point Temple, four pillars
stand at the front. The pillars are made of water. If you hit them with your
staff, you will see a splash inside the pillar. Then, ripples will come from
the splash. The ripples will then come out of the pillar and float.
Glitch:
Tricky dialogue: After you return from your first trip to Cape Claw, you will be
going on the Arwing. Tricky will be seen entering the Arwing, but he says
earlier in the game, "There's no way I'm going to her fortress".
Glitch:
CloudRunner Fortress: Leave with the SpellStone: After you get the SpellStone from CloudRunner Fortress, you will
return to the bridge ware you parked the Arwing. The Queen CloudRunner
thanks you for saving her tribe and some CloudRunners let you get to your
Arwing. When you take off, everyone will instantly disappear.
Glitch:
Volcano Force Point Temple: Afraid of nothing: When you are crossing the pit with the fire jets and the moving
platforms, Fire Blast the little sun symbols before you get to the end. When
you do reach the end, you will see a sequence in which Tricky is cowering,
even though the platforms have stopped moving, and the fire jets have
stopped flaming. He will cross immediately after, however.
Glitch:
Walled City: Reluctant to stop following: After the scene which tells you that you are leaving Tricky, he
follows you a short ways to the bridge. He may even say, "Where are we
going?" The appropriate response would be, "YOU'RE staying here.
I'M leaving." But sadly, Rareware did not provide this functionality.
Glitch:
Float instantly: Jump into deep water. While you are submerged, turn on the
binoculars. You will not float up. However, when you return to normal view
you will instantly be floating on top of the water.
Glitch:
Stuck in rising platform: After the second Krazoa Spirit, return to Krazoa Palace. You need
to get on a rising platform. Get on it and immediately take out your zoom
goggles. The platform will rise. Take off the goggles and you will be at the
top of the platform.
Glitch:
Dino Talk: The Dino Talk subtitles are full of errors. A significant number
of words and letters are missing. Titles (General, Queen) and proper names
(Dinosaur Plant, Krazoa, Scales) are translated, even though the spoken
dialogue correctly does not. Of course, the spoken dialogue has problems of
its own, such as the fact that "kxo" (the) keeps being pronounced
"kay-oh".
Please
select the first letter of the game's title below. If the word
"The" appears at the start of a title, ignore it and search for
the second word in the title:
