Arcanine: Throw Pester Balls in the pits across from Charmeleon in the
Volcano level (almost to the end, on the right). It appears less frequently
then the Growlithes.
Get a photograph while it is
shaking embers of its body for more points.
Articuno: Go to the Cave level and follow it almost to the end. When you
see the Jynxs play the Poké Flute. The Jynxs will perform a ritual dance,
and the ice egg will float in the air and hatch into Articuno.
Bulbasaur: In addition to the two Bulbasaurs in the craters in the River
level, there is another hidden in a nearby log. Throw an apple near the
log's opening and it will appear.
In the Cave level, there are
Bulbasaurs that are really Dittos. However, if you take pictures of them,
they will be classified in the photos as Bulbasaurs.
In the River level, it seems
you can never get more than 2,500 points in all by flushing out the two
Bulbasaurs in the craters. However, throw a Pester Ball into a log that is
tipped over on its side. A Bulbasaur will come out of it. Try to take a
picture of it from the front. It can be worth over 4,000 points. If you only
have apples, it will also appear after five or six of them are thrown.
Chansey: Chansey appears when a Pester Ball is thrown at the ball that
Eevee is chasing in the Beach level.
After hitting the ball that
Eevee is chasing, it becomes a Chansey. Take a photograph of it tossing the
egg in the air. Professor Oak will comment, "Oh, what a funny
pose!" and give you a few extra points.
Charizard: Go to the Volcano level and follow it almost to the end. Throw an
apple at the Charmeleon that is near the lava pool. Note: Hit it when it is
between you and the crater. It will evolve into a Charizard after being
knocked into the lava.
After Charmeleon evolves into
Charizard, an apple into its mouth. It will use a flame thrower attack for a
photograph worth extra points.
Charmander: Get stuck behind Moltres' egg in the Volcano level and look left
to see two Charmanders. Throw an apple at both of them and they will roar to
call more Charmanders to join them. You can get almost ten Charmanders in
the same photograph for extra points.
Get stuck behind Moltres' egg
in the Volcano level. Throw an apple to attract many Charmanders. When they
have come down, throw more apples to get them very close. After they have
eaten the apples they will start jumping and roaring at the camera. If not,
play the Poke Flute and they begin to jump when the song is over. This will
give you the opportunity to get a really close shot of many Charmander in
great poses.
After you get the ten
Charmanders in the Volcano level, play the Poke Flute and they will all line
up and march in place.
Do not try to get Moltres when
you have the opportunity. Instead, turn left and you will see two
Charmander. Throw apples at them and they will call their friends. Keep
throwing food so they get closer to you. Take a picture of them when they
growl, or you can play the Pokeflute and get them while they are dancing.
Do the six Charmander trick in
the Volcano level, then use the Pokeflute. Look closely to see that one of
the Charmander has an angry face. Note: This does not give you extra points.
Charmeleon: Wait until you are past the two Vulpixes in the Volcano level, .
Look to the left to see a Magmar and a Charmander. When you are close
enough, throw an apple between the two of them. The Magmar and the
Charmander will go after it. The Magmar will blow fire at the Charmander,
which will fall to the ground and evolve. After it has evolved, it will
remain on the ground in the "dead pose".
To take a close-up picture of
Charmeleon, go to the lava pit where you would try to get Charizard at the
end of the Volcano level.
Cloyster: Take photographs and throw Pester Balls at the Shellders in the
River level. If done correctly, a Cloyster will appear later in the level.
Diglett: Diglett appears on the left side of the Tunnel level, next to a
Pikachu.
Ditto: The three Bulbasaurs at the beginning of the Cave level are
really Dittos. Throw some Pester Balls at them to change them back into
their true form.
Doduo: When the Doduo runs across at the start of the Beach level, hit
it with an apple. It will fall down stunned. This allows you to get a good
picture of it, fainted across the middle of the track.
Dratini: Throw Pester Balls to the left of the whirlpool in the Valley
level.
You can find a larger Dratini
near the beginning of the River level. Throw Pester Balls in the water
Immediately after passing the Squirtles. If done correctly, Dratini should
jump out right in front of you. Keep trying, as this is difficult to do.
Dugtrio: Keep taking pictures of Diglett in the Tunnel level. Pikachu will
move to the next place that it will appear. Eventually, Dugtrio will appear
instead of Diglett.
After taking the three
photographs of Digletts to make Dugtrio appear, take one more photograph to
make two more Dugtrios to appear for more points.
Take three pictures of Diglett.
Each time you take a picture that counts towards the score, the Diglett will
move. The Pikachu will show the location of the next Diglett. If you miss
it, you will have to start again. After three consecutive good photos, a
Dugtrio will appear. Take another two pictures of the Dugtrio and there will
be an extra Dugtrio each time you get a photo of one.
Dragonite: Throw pesterballs into the whirlpool in the Valley level.
Eevee: Take a photograph of Eevee just after turning the pink ball into
Chansey. It will jump into the air gleefully, and you will get extra points
for a happy pose.
Electabuzz: Look to the right in the middle of the Tunnel level to see
Electabuzzs standing in front of large screens. Throw apples at one of them
and it will walk approach use a Thundershock attack. Take a photograph while
it is emitting energy for extra points.
Electrode: Throw a Pester Ball at the non-moving Electrode in the Tunnel
level. It will self-destruct for a better photograph.
When you start the Tunnel
level, look at the first Electrode. When it starts to explode, and beams
shoot out, snap a photo of it. Professor Oak will award 1000 Pose Points for
that photograph.
Geodude: Throw a pester ball in the Valley level to knock down the
Geodudes for a better photograph.
Goldeen: Throw a Pester Ball in the Valley level in front of the first
mankey, between Magikarp and Dratini. A Goldeen will jump out of the water.
Graveler: Play the Poké Flute at the location in the Valley level that has
three Gravelers. They will wake up and dance for a photograph that is worth
more points.
Grimmer: To get a great photograph of a Grimmer in the Cave level, take
pictures of the first two Grimmers to make the third Grimmer appear closer,
and the fourth Grimmer appear even closer.
Growlithe: Throw Pester Balls in the pits across from Charmeleon in the
Volcano level (almost to the end, on the right).
Get a photograph while it is
shaking embers of its body for more points.
Throw a Pester Ball into all
three volcanoes in the Volcano level. Then, throw apples close to the path.
All three Growlithes will run to the apples. Take as many photos possible of
all three for more points.
Gyarados: Go to the Valley level and hit the Magikarp that is in the water
in front of the first Mankey. Mankey will hit it over the mountain and onto
land. Later, when you are in front of the three Gravelers, hit the Magikarp
with a Pester Ball. Magikarp will go over to the waterfall evolve into
Gyarados.
Haunter: Take a photograph of the purplish mist in the first part of the
Tunnel level. A Haunter will appear when the photograph is developed.
Jigglypuff: Save the three Jigglypuffs in the Cave level. All three will
re-appear at the end of the level singing the famous Jigglypuff song,
allowing a photograph worth extra points.
Get a photograph of Jigglypuff
on stage for 500 extra points.
Save the Jigglypuff from the
Koffings in the Cave level. When it is on stage, throw a Pester Ball at the
Jigglypuff. Jigglypuff will be annoyed and will chase after you. Take a
picture of it for more points. Save all three Jigglypuff for even more
points.
Kakuna: To get a better photograph of Kakuna, hit a still Electrode in
the Tunnel level and it will explode. The Kakunas will fall down from the
ceiling and remaining hanging there for awhile. Try to get a shot with all
three for even more points.
Kangaskhan: There is a way to get a better picture of Kangaskhan. Go to the
Beach level and play through until you see the backside of Kangaskhan. Throw
a Pesterball at him and he will turn around and roar. Snap this photograph
to get bonus points from Professor Oak.
Larpas: Play the Poké Flute near the shore of the Beach level for a
better shot of Larpas.
Face towards the left at the
Beach level and watch the shore line closely. Take a photograph of the
Lapras whenever they appear, no matter what the quality. When approaching
the Kangaskan, look towards the water and a Lapras will emerge from the
water. This is the best photograph of the Lapras in the level.
Magikarp: Keep tossing Pester Balls into the water in the River or Valley
levels until a Magikarp appears. Use the Dash Engine to zoom to Magikarp and
it will almost land in the Zero-One, allowing you to get a close-up photos.
Magmar: Enter the Volcano level just past the Moltres egg until you reach
the two Magmar. Throw some apples between the two and they will both run for
it. When they both reach the food, they will use flamethrower attacks on
each other. Take a picture when they use the flamethrower. Professor Oak
will give 800 points for the picture.
Throw an apple between the two
Magmars on the cliff by Moltres' egg in the Volcano level. They will blow
fire at each other which will give you an extra 1,200 points for Special
Attack. If you get a close shot with both Magmars in the picture you should
get around 7,000 total points.
To get extra points for a
Magmar photo, enter the Volcano level. When get near the Moltres egg, throw
either an apple or a Pester Ball. It will fall into the lava and hatch. Do
not bother with it this time. After you pass it, you should see two Magmar.
Lure them together by throwing an apple between them. They will use
flamethrower on each other, but make sure that you take the picture before
they fall down. If the picture is taken when they are doing the attack
(flamethrower), when Professor Oak gives you the points at the end of the
course he will say "It looks hot" and give you at least 1,300
points for the pose.
Mankey: Wait until near the end of the Valley level. Two Squirtles will
slide up a mountain at a Mankey. Wait until the last Squirtle is right
between you and the Mankey, then throw a Pester Ball at it. With good
timing, it will slide up the mountain and knock the Mankey off. You will be
able to take a close-up picture of it right around the corner.
Magnemite: Throw an apple right in front of the Magnemite in the Tunnel
level. It will stop its sonic wave and become photographable.
Magneton: Throw apples at each of the three Magnemites in the Tunnel level
to lure them together and evolve into Magneton.
Meowth: Play the Poké Flute in front of Meowth in the Beach level to
make it dance for a better photograph.
At the end of the Beach level
there are two Pidgey flying after Meowth. Watch them as they go off to the
right side, as they will execute a gust attack to knock Meowth down. Hit the
Pidgey with apples and they will fly away, leaving Meowth to dance for a
photograph worth more points.
Wait until after the Snorlax on
the Beach level. Knock down the Meowth on the hill with Pester Balls before
passing it. Start playing the Poké Flute. Meowth will dance for a
photograph worth more points.
Go to the beach level. Keep
looking to your right and you will eventually see a Meowth on top of a rock
ledge. Hit it with a Pester Ball, and it should fall and come down. Keep
looking to your right, and it will appear right next to you and make a very
funny angry face. You can get extra points for this pose.
When you pass Snorlax, throw a
pester ball at Meowth. He will fall to the ground, stand up, stand on one
leg and say "Meowth." Then he will flex like a body builder. It is
not Meowth's special pose, but it is worth 1000 pose points.
Metapod: Throw Pester Balls at the Metapods in the Cave level and they
will drop down for a close-up.
Mew: Use the following technique to get an easier photograph of Mew.
Once in the Rainbow level, pop Mew's energy shield by throwing Pester Balls
at it. Then, use the Dash Engine to keep up with Mew for a minute, then snap
away when he turns around to look at you. This must be done quickly before
he returns inside the energy shield.
Another technique is to hit Mew
with a Pester Ball while it is chasing the energy shield. It will start
spinning in place for a few seconds before disappearing. To keep it from
disappearing, keep throwing Pester Balls at it. Do this through the whole
level to keep Mew in front of you the entire time.
After the second time Mew flies
at you in its energy shield, turn your camera to the left and up slightly.
When Mew flies by it immediately does flips. Take a close-up of it in the
classic curl position while its whole body is towards you, with the light
will behind it. This results in a photograph worth over 8000 points.
It is possible to get a score
of 10,000 points on Mew. It also may appear on the right side. If it
disappears on the left side hit, it will reappear on that side. If it
disappears on the right side, then it will reappear on that site. If it
disappears in the middle, the next location will be random.
After breaking Mew's second
shield, hit him with an apple. Do not hit him with a Pester Ball because it
will not have any effect. This should result in a closer picture.
When you have popped his energy
shield, use the Dash Engine to speed up to him. Throw a pester ball at him
to get a close-up photograph of Mew that should result in 8500 to 9000
points.
Moltres: Go to the Volcano level and follow the path until reaching an egg
in the middle of the road. Throw an apple at the egg to make it fall into
the lava and Moltres will appear. Note: Wait for it to face you for
additional points.
Muk: Take photographs of the first two Grimmers in the Cave level.
Then, throw Pester Balls at the third Grimmer in this level to evolve it
into a Muk. If you are moderately fast, you will have good time left, and
get a great angle.
There are two Grimers in the
Cave level. Throw five apples at the second Grimer, then take a picture of
it. Then a third Grimer will appear in the room where the three Dittos are
on the left. Hit it with a pester ball three times and it will evolve into a
Muk.
Pidgey: Go to the Beach level and play through until you approach the
end. You will see two Pidgeys flying overhead. Do not throw anything at
them. They will fly near a Meowth and do their attack. Take a photograph of
that event to get extra points from Professor Oak.
Pikachu: Play the Poké Flute in front of Pikachu in the Beach level to
have it use a Thundershock attack for a better photograph.
Throw a Pester Ball at the
Zubat that is carrying Pikachu in the Cave level. Pikachu will come down
attached to balloons . Next, it will run over to where Articuno is found.
Release Articuno with the Poké Flute. Look behind when approaching the end
of the level to see Pikachu riding on Articuno.
On the Cave level, you should
see a Zubat holding a Pikachu. Shoot the Zubat and he should drop Pikachu.
Pikachu should then drop down and balloons should pop out. Keep taking
photos and you should get about 1,000 points from it.
Throw apples towards the Surf
Board in the Beach level immediately after seeing Pikachu to have it pose on
the board, including backflips to get more points.
After flushing Scyther out in
the Beach level, two Pikachu will dash out and jump up on stumps. Play the
Poké Flute and they will start zapping. The photo of Pikachu on a stump
with a Thundershock is worth a lot of extra points.
Take a photograph of the first
Pikachu that appears at the beginning of the Tunnel level. He will run
backwards. Take another picture of the Pikachu and he will jump on
Electrode. Take a photograph of that scene for extra points.
Get a photograph of Pikachu on
a ball for 500 extra points. Get a photograph of Pikachu on a stump for 2500
extra points.
On the Beach level, throw
apples to the left side of Pikachu for him to move. The surfboard has a
lightning bolt on it. Get a photograph of surfing Pikachu for 1000 extra
points.
At the end of the River level,
there is a Pikachu peeking over the top of a fallen log. Take a photograph
of it to make it run out and briefly zoom around the clearing while trailing
sparks. Take a photograph of it for 800 bonus points. It is very hard to get
this shot in the middle of the frame.
At the beginning at the Tunnel
level, you will see a Pikachu. Take a photograph of it and it will run. Take
another photograph of it when it stops. When it runs an Electrode will
appear and the Pikachu will jump and roll on it. Take a close-up of this
scene for extra points.
Polywag: Throw Pester Balls at the Polywags in the grass at the beginning
of the River level. The Polywag will run to another position. Repeat until
they all jump into the water. Take a photo of them jumping. Sometimes, if
you throw an apple into the water, one or two will jump out very close for a
great photograph.
To get a good picture of
Poliwag, Pester Ball all three of them to last together. Then, when you
almost below them, pester them out. With good timing and aim, you should be
able to get a good photograph of all three of them.
Porygon: Go past Vileplume's location in River level. Pass the Metapods,
then look right when you see Psyduck near a lot of logs. Hit the
wood-appearing objects that are flying around with a Pester Ball and Porygon
will appear. Hit it with another Pester Ball and it will change into its
original colors.
When in the River level, you
will reach a brown wall while still on the river. Throw a Pester Ball at the
red button. A Porygon will appear. Take a picture quickly before it gets
away.
Psyduck: As you approach Psyduck on the River level, hit it with a pester
ball. It will jump from log to log, doing great posses. Professor Oak will
give you bonus points for photographs of the poses.
Rapidash: After the first Rapidash runs by on the Volcano level, two more
will appear on the right. Throw an apple at them they will start reigning.
You can get more points for your photograph while they are on there hind
legs, more points for their size, and more points because there are two of
them.
Sandshrew: Hit a Geodude down with a Pester Ball in the Valley level and
Sandshrew will appear from the ground.
Sandslash: Look towards the first Mankey near the beginning the Valley
level. Something that resembles a Kadabra will appear further down the
level. It is actually a Sandslash. Take a photograph of it when it goes into
the ground for more points.
Get to the area in the Valley
level where Sandslash, Graveller and two Geodudes can be found. After they
hide, throw Pester Balls at the two Geodudes. After they fall, Graveller
will follow. When it hits the ground, Sandslash will pop out. You can get a
nice close-up of it as it appears for more points.
Shellder: A group of four Shellders can be photographed near the Slowpoke
area in the River level.
Go to the River level and try
to turn the Slowpoke into a Slowbro. When the Shellder is on its tail and
the Slowpoke is getting ready to evolve, turn towards Shellder and take a
picture. You will get even more points if the score on size is 1000 points.
Slowbro: Throw apples at the Slowpokes that appear near the wooden
Shellder sign in the River level. Lead them to the mud spot next to the
sign. The Slowpokes will put their tail into the water evolve into Slowbros
after hitting the Shellders.
Slowpoke: Throw apples near the wooden Shellder sign in the River level to
attract a group of Slowpokes.
Throw the apples as if you were
trying to get Slowbro. Take a picture of Slowpoke with its tail in the
water, and Professor Oak will grade it as a fishing Slowpoke.
Snorlax: Play the Poké Flute in front of Snorlax in the Beach level to
wake it up for a better photograph.
Play the Poké Flute three
times to get the best pose.
Squirtle: The little bumps in the water at the start of the Valley level
are Squirtle shells. Throw Pester Balls at them and they will shoot onto
land. Then, you can take close-up photographs, without them fleeing like the
other Squirtles.
Starmie: Take a photograph of Staryu in the center of the Valley level.
Its gem will turn blue and it will begin to circle you until the whirlpool
appears. Staryu will enter the whirlpool and come out as Starmie.
Sycther: Throw Pester Balls in the tall grass in the Beach level.
To get a good picture of
Scyther, throw Pester Balls at the first Meowth chasing a Pidgey while it is
walking across the tracks. It should stop and fall down. Then, throw Pester
Balls in the tall grass next to you. When Scyther comes out of the grass,
take a few pictures of it but do not waste your film here. Ignore the
Pikachus. When you pass the Butterfrees, you will reach a stretch of tall
grass. Throw Pester Balls into the grass and Scyther will appear. This is
your chance to get a good close up of Scyther Note: You may have to try this
more before getting a good photograph.
Starmi: Start game play in the Valley level. When the first Staryu
appears, it will fly into the air and then start circling. Allow it to
continue to circle until the whirlpool appears. It will jump into the
whirlpool and evolve into Starmi.
Staryu: Staryu appears above the water in the Valley level.
Weapinbell: This Pokemon can be found in the Cave level.
Victreebel: Go to the end of the Cave level, until finding a Weapinbell
flying around a pool of water. Knock it into the water to evolve it into
Victreebel.

the River level. Play the Poké Flute and Vileplume will come out and dance.
Press C-Down again to see a different dance. This may be done again
until all four dances are seen.
Zapdos: Go to the Tunnel. Just after the first door you will see a
Pikachu next to a large egg in the distance. Throw some apples to lure the
Pikachu closer to the egg. When Pikachu gets close enough, play the Poké
Flute. Pikachu will start a Thundershock attack and zap the egg. The egg
will hatch and Zapdos will appear. Note: You will need Zapdos to shock the
generator if you want the Pokemon sign.
Zubat: Every time a steel door opens in the Tunnel level, a Zubat will
appear.
Take pictures of all the Zubats
in the Cave level. You will find three Zubats in an almost V-formation at
the very end of the level.

Unlock
the Cave level: Throw a Pester Ball to your right immediately before reaching the
end of the River Level. You will see part of a Porygon sticking out in the
air from the cliffs and a red button on the ground. The Porygon will trigger
the switch and open the path to the Cave level.
Unlock
the Volcano level: Throw Pester Balls or apples at the last Electrode in the Tunnel
level, near the exit gate. It will self-destruct and open a path to the
Volcano level.
Unlock
the Rainbow level: Successfully complete the Valley level and take photographs off
all six Pokémon signs. Professor Oak will open the Rainbow level with Mew.
It is very hard to capture, and is worth a lot of points.
Hitting
the switch on the Valley level: To hit the switch and continue on with the "Pokémon
Sign" mission from Professor Oak, wait until you reach the whirlpool
where Dragonite can be found in the Valley level. On the right side you will
see two to three Squirtles. All but one will slide up the hill towards the
Mankey that is at the top. Throw a Pester Ball at the Squirtle so it also
slides up the hill in Mankey's direction. The Mankey will then be near the
switch, but not on it. If you have time, take a good photograph of it, then
knock it back on the switch with a Pester Ball.
Getting
the six Pokémon signs: After completing the Valley level by hitting the Mankey on the
switch, Professor Oak will tell you to take photographs. Here are their
locations:
Kingler On the Beach level, after passing Pikachu, turn around and take a
photograph of the rock with seaweed that resembles a crab.
Pinsir In the Tunnel, wait until Zapdos has hatched and turns on the power.
When you pass the Electabuzzes and Pikachu, look to your right to see
Pinsir's shadow on the wall.
Koffing In the Volcano level, throw a Pester Ball into the small volcano to
the left of the first Rapidash that appears. Smoke in the shape of Koffing
will appear.
Cubone In the River level, play the Poké Flute in front of the sleeping
Vileplume. The smoke will disappear and a tree in the shape of Cubone will
appear.
Mewtwo In the Cave level, after hitting the two Koffings chasing Jigglypuff
with apples, turn around to the left while near Weepinbell and to see some
bright crystals/stars. Take a photograph and it will turn out to be
Mewtwo.
Dugtrio In the start of the Valley level, take a photograph of the mountain
behind the Mankey.
View
ending sequence: Successfully take photographs of all Pokemon in the game and
unlock all the levels. After saving the game an ending sequence featuring
the photographs you captured will begin. Note: there are a total of
sixty-three Pokemon in the game.
Hint:
"Dead" Pokemon: At times if a Pester Ball is thrown at a Pokemon, it will fall
down and appear as if it were dead. Take a photograph of it in this position
to get 800 points for the "Dead Pokemon" pose.
Hint:
Faster points screen: Hold B after you finish with a level and Professor Oak
gives you points for your pictures.
Hint:
Too close for points: Although you should get more points for having a Pokemon take up
most of a photo, do not take pictures that are too close. You will get low
points for the size.
Hint:
Too many Pokemon for points: Taking a picture that contains too many of the same Pokemon, such
as ten Charmanders, will result in less points.
Glitch:
Mewtwo's tail: Go to the River level. When you get to the Metapods, throw an
apple at them all, then look up very quickly. You should see a tail from at
Mewtwo. Take a picture of it. When you get Professor Oak's rating, he says
it is not worth any points.
Please
