Play
as Joshua: Successfully complete the game as either Danielle or as Joseph
(possibly under the Oblivion difficulty setting). Go through the credits
until a cheat is revealed, then save the game. Immediately start a new game
with the other character (also on the Oblivion difficulty setting) and
complete it. Watch the credits again and get the cheat. Check your secrets
screen, and you can now play as Joshua. Joshua gets all weapons (fireswarm
and shredder firestorm cannon and sniper rifles, etc.)
Hint:
Continue level: If you complete a chapter in the secrets section, you can play it
from there and on.
Hint:
Avoid losing lives: If you die during game play, you will have a few seconds to press
Start. After this, quit and restart the section, You will begin the
same section with the same health and ammunition on your previous attempt.
If you do not do this, you will still enter the same section with the same
health and ammunition, but with a death recorded.
Hint:
Defeating the first Boss: If you have the shotgun just get under the Boss. Look up and keep
shooting him -- he will not be able to hurt you and you will defeat him very
easily.
To defeat the Boss on the first
level, aim for those things sticking out on each side of him (preferably the
left side).
Hint:
Defeating the Breach: To kill the breach very fast, aim for the thing that it is
hanging from. Shoot it with the shotgun.
Hint:
Defeating Oblivion, part 1: To defeat the first Oblivion, make sure you have full Assault
Rifle ammo (also having Danielle's Firestorm would be helpful). If you do
not have full ammo, walk around the outer edge of the arena. Pick up the
Rifle ammo and stand on the location where you found it. The crate will
reappear shortly. Whenever Oblivion points one of his arms at you, fire at
it with the Assault Rifle. Keep this up until he bends down and crosses his
arms. Now shot at that spot with the assault rifle. He will become woozy,
and his chest will open up. Pump him full of the Firestorm in the chest. In
no time, his life will deplete. Note: He will refill his life, which is
shown beside his life meter. He will do so once or twice before dying.
Oblivion is impervious to all
weapons except the PSG (Personal Singularity Generator). To defeat Oblivion
you must fire the PSG in any direction -- you do not have to actually hit
him with it. Be prepared to run away, because he is not affected much by the
black hole's gravitational pull while you still are. After it explodes,
Oblivion will stand and groan. While he is doing this, a fanged mouth in his
chest will open and close rapidly. Aim your Razor Wind and throw it into
this mouth. If you are skilled, you can hit him three times before he gets
back up and begins hunting you again. Repeat the PSG fire. You may have to
defeat him around three to four times before he actually falls.
Hint:
Defeating Oblivion, part 2: To defeat the second Oblivion, just use the Shotgun. Make sure
you have full life, and just blast him three to five times. Note: He does
have a Firestorm with him. It will completely destroy you if you remain
still too long.
As soon as the intermission
sequence ends, fire a PSG and back away. "Joshua" will immediately
be killed, completing the final battle of the game in under four seconds.
Hint:
Defeating the Oblivion infected Joshua: Do not be fooled by Joshua - he is a lot tougher than Oblivion
was. He will cut you down with his Gattling gun in seconds if you are slow.
Run directly at him. You will take a few hits, but this causes Joshua to run
away from you. If you can manage to keep a steady aim, you can hit him with
everything you have while running after him. Note: If he runs into any of
the corners of the room, he will stop running and mow you down with his
gattling gun.
Choose Joseph and take out the
sniper rifle. If possible, hide and take your time to take out the trash.
Aim at his head and shoot. Repeat this procedure until he dies. To defeat
him as Daniel, take out the fire storm cannon and follow him. If you get
close enough, he will back up. Follow him, strafe to dodge his bullets, and
shoot rapidly at him. Watch out -- his gattling gun can take you down
quickly. Head shots work well, but shooting does damage.
Hint:
Unlocking Bosses: After every chapter, under cheats (secrets) you can select a
previous chapter/Boss. You will also get any items, weapons, or weapon
upgrades found in the chapter(s) before it.
Hint:
Unlocking cheats: To unlock other cheats, successfully complete the game under any
difficulty setting, but with the least amount of times you have died.
Hint:
Vampire gun: To properly use the Vampire gun, get very close to an enemy, then
hold the trigger. If the Vampire gun hits, you will see a splash of blood.
Continue to hold the trigger and your enemy will begin to wiggle and scream.
While this is happening, the Vampire gun is sucking out their blood, making
them shrink. This in turn gives you health. However, the tougher the enemy,
the longer it takes to fully drain them. This can leave you wide open for
attack, rendering what health you obtained useless. Make sure no other
enemies are around when you use it.
Hint:
Razor Wind: The Razor Wind is the most powerful weapon you have. While nearly
impossible to aim, its effects can be devastating. It works best against the
Bosses, as it can nearly finish them off with only a few tosses.
Hint:
Multi-player recommendation: Joseph is the strongest character in multi-player mode. When
playing as Joseph use the Shredder upgrade to the shotgun. It will kill an
enemy in two to three hits.
Hint:
Monkey sounds: Press Z when playing as the monkey to squeak.
Glitch:
Get stuck in level 4 : In Level 4, when you must open the gate to the pyramid, there is
a store room without lights. It is very hard to see all the boxes on the
floor to begin with, but there is also a spot with a gap to crawl under and
a ledge to jump onto in the far right side of the room. If you go anywhere
near the middle of these two spots, you can become stuck with no way to
escape. Your character is trying to crouch while at the same time not
needing to so he freezes in his tracks. You can still turn around in
circles, but you will not get anywhere.
