Some of the instructions have to be followed in the order in which they are
written or they will not work. If you are trying to solve a puzzle and what
you're doing is not working it probably is because you are not doing things
in the correct order.
Some items may remain in inventory even if all the steps have been done
correctly.
Your exit door will be marked by the symbol of the man within a circle with
a red line across it. Once all the steps have been completed correctly, the
circle will turn green.
If you're having a hard time finding an item, move your cursor around and it
will start to pulsate once it has located an item that you need to pick up.
If you want to maintain a good accuracy rating, then don't click any items
until you see the cursor pulsate. Incorrect clicking will count against your
overall accuracy rating.
You can also use a hint if you are unable to find an item, using a hint will
not cost you any points but it will affect your accuracy points in a
negative way. When you use a hint you will see your accuracy points drop
drastically the first time you use it, and not as much each time after that.
However, you can increase your points again by making as many correct clicks
as you can.
If you press your hint more than once it will not show you another item
until you've found the one that is already showing. Pressing it twice will
not affect your accuracy rating again.
There are 2 different types of mini games in Escape the Museum. One shows
you a painting with pieces missing from it. You must find the pieces outside
of the painting and place them back where they belong. Some pieces can be
very small so you have to look really hard in order to find them.
In another mini game, you must place some weights (up to 3) on one side of
the screen so that it matches the weight of the item on the opposite page.
In order to take the artifact the meter must land on the green zone. If you
make a mistake you can click on "reset" and start again.
The full weight of each weight is 200 pounds so if you have an item on the
opposite side that weighs 320 pounds then you know you can let the weight go
to its full size. Then, just pay attention to the numbers of the second
weight as they increase. You will see numbers on the side as the weight is
growing. These numbers signify the number of pounds for each second that the
weight is growing. Stop it when you think you have the right combination.
You can exit out of a level at
any time, however, once you go back to it you will have to start that level
from the beginning. It will not save your progress in that room, but it will
take you back to the last room you visited.
If you see at the end of the game that your "Museum Progress" is
less than 100 % it means that you missed a room. You can look on the map and
complete it at that time.
Please
select the first letter of the game's title below. If the word
"The" appears at the start of a title, ignore it and search for
