Mystery P.I. - The New York Fortune cheats
GAME OVERVIEW
Mystery P. I.-The New York
Fortune has 25 levels and 25 unique locations.
There are 3 modes in the
game, "Find the NY Fortune,” "Unlimited Seek and Find,"
and a "Spot the Differences" Mode. The NY Fortune is a
combination of seek and find scenes along with mini games at the end of
each level.
"Unlimited Seek and
Find" means that you can find every single item in a particular
scene. This mode will be automatically unlocked once you find all the
keys and apples.
"Unlimited Spot the
Differences"
In this mini game you will
be able to compare 2 side by side images and look for the differences
between them.
You can choose to play the
timed version or the relaxed mode. If you want to play in Relaxed Mode,
all you have to do is click on the "menu" button and check off
the "Relaxed Mode (No Time Limit") box.
Hints are available in the
game and they take time to replenish, however you can disable this
feature. You can choose to have the hints enabled at all times without
having to wait for them to refill by choosing that setting from the
options menu.
You can choose the
"unlimited hints" button from the main menu if you want to use
as many hints as you want. Keep in mind that the hints cost you 7,500
points each.
HINTS
If you're stuck trying to
find an item you can click on the hint button and you will be able to
find one of the items from your list. The item will be highlighted on
the list on the left and also on the scene. Once you see the item
highlighted click on it and it will disappear from your list.
Using hints will deduct
7,500 points from your total points, use them sparingly. Always try and
leave your hints for when you absolutely cannot find an item.
Even though the hints are
unlimited, they take a little over one minute to refill. You have to
wait for the hints to be refilled before you can use them again.
If you do not want to wait
for your hints to replenish you can go to the options menu and select
the Unlimited Hints option. The hints will always be available but they
will still cost you 7,500 points each time you use it.
If you use too many hints,
you can replenish some of those points by continuing to look for hints
once the game prompts you to do so. You will earn a Perfect
Investigation Bonus (25,000 points) when you find all the items from a
level.
Hints can only be used for
the seek and find portion of the game. It is disabled when it comes to
playing the mini games.
SCORES
There are several ways to
earn money in this game. You receive 5,000 points for every correct item
that you click on.
If you find several correct
items in a row and click on them quickly you will also earn a speed
bonus that becomes higher the more items you find in a row.
Each key and apple that you
find will earn an additional 10,000 points for each. Once you've
collected all the apples and keys you will also earn an additional
100,000 points on top of that. That's 100,000 for finding all the keys
and 100,000 points for finding all the apples.
Find all 25 magnifying
glasses in the scenes and receive 1 million points!
You will be given a certain
amount of clues to find at the beginning of each level. Once you find
the majority of them you will be asked to continue on and solve the
puzzle or look for the remaining items. If you decide to look for the
rest of the items, you will receive 25,000 bonus points, that is called
a Perfect Investigation Bonus.
You can also lose points in
this game when you click on too many incorrect items in a row. For every
incorrect item you will lose 2,500 points. For each hint you use, you
will lose 7,500 points.
The game is pretty lenient
when it comes to incorrect clicking, it is only when you click very
quickly that you will be penalized.
MINI GAMES
There are several mini
games in this game, they are pretty straightforward puzzles.
MATCH 3
All you have to do is match
3 or more like items in order to eliminate a row.
The matches can be made
horizontally or vertically. The goal is to turn all the tiles that are
underneath blue. Once all the tiles are blue you will be able to
complete the level.
You cannot use hints in
this game.
WORD SEARCH
Look at the list of items
on the left and find them on the puzzle.
As you find the words,
click on them and drag the mouse to highlight the letters in the correct
order. Words can be backwards, horizontal, vertical or diagonal.
If you're stuck looking for
a word, just start with the first letter of the word and go row by row
until you find it.
CIRCLE PUZZLE
In one of the games you
must click to rotate the tiles to make it look like the picture on the
left. Once a row is completed the pieces on that row will automatically
lock into place.
Once 1 row is completed,
any 2 adjacent pieces that are placed correctly will lock into place
without the row having to be completed.
The instructions say that
you can right click to rotate the pieces but you can also left click
them in order to rotate them.
JIGSAW PUZZLE
Pick up the pieces on the
left and place them on the scene.
You do not have a picture
on the left side which shows you what you have to recreate. However, the
picture is on the main scene and you can recreate it from there. You can
either left or right click the pieces in order to rotate them.
CLUES DISGUISED AS
RIDDLES
Some clues may be tricky to
find. Whenever you see a clue in which all letters are capitalized it
means that you have to actually look for the word in the scene, instead
of the item.
Throughout the game you
will have riddles amongst the items to find. We've compiled a list of
those riddles below. This is not a complete list, just the ones that we
found while playing the game which we thought were relevant.

APPLES, KEYS AND
MAGNIFYING GLASSES
Each location has an apple,
a key and a magnifying glass. Once you find one of those items in a
location you will not have to find them again.
When you find all the
magnifying glasses you will receive 1,000,000 bonus points.
Once you find all the
apples and keys you will receive an additional 100,000 points for each.
The following section
contains the location of all the apples, keys and magnifying glasses.

center of the scene, on the yellow diamond-shaped traffic sign that is
on the fence.
FIND THE SECRET ROOM
You have to assemble the
blueprint by placing the right pieces back in place.
The map is basically pieced
for you on the playing board so all you have to do is place the pieces
in the right place.
You can right click or left
click in order to rotate the pieces.
Once a piece is in the
right place it will lock in automatically.
OPEN THE SECRET DOOR
This is a memory mini game
in which you have to remember 4 different sets of sequences.
Simply click on the items
in the same order that they lit up.
Please look at the section
below for the correct sequences.

FINAL PUZZLE
DIAGRAM 1
Click on the post card of
New York on the left side and you will see an asterisk on a piece of
paper.
1-On the lower right side;
move the disks on the Tower of Hanoi so they look like the picture that
is on the base of the tower.
On the last tower, the
large red circle should be at the bottom, the blue circle is in the
middle and the white one should be on top.
Once the tower is complete,
the number 6 will appear at the bottom.
2-There is a bottle of
champagne in the middle of the scene. There is an "X"
underneath the apparatus on the champagne bottle and there is an arrow
that goes left and one that goes to the right.
Click on the arrow that is
on the right side until the "X" becomes red. Click on the
"X" and the apple that is on the top right side will open up,
revealing a "cent' sign.
3-On the top right side of
the page there is a button, in between the screwdriver and the I (heart)
NY red apple.
Pick up that button and
place it on the empty hole that is on the electrical panel that is on
the lower right side, just above the Hanoi Tower.

4-Grab the black tape that
is on the lower right corner of the page and place it on the yellow
wires that are over the electric panel and it will mend the wires.
5-Click on the handle of
the jack in the box and a piece of paper with the number "3"
will appear.
6-Click on the yellow taxi
cab and the letter "B" will appear.
7-Pick up the screwdriver
and place it on the screw that is on the electrical panel that is on the
right side and the panel will open up.(Please note that the
"tip" of the screwdriver has to be on the screw in order for
it to open up).

8-Grab the green battery
that is on the top left side, in front of the jack in the box and place
it in the empty socket that is below the other green battery, Above the
navigational buttons.

9-There will be some
buttons on the opened panel, those buttons will navigate the large
silver apparatus that is on top of the screen.
Move the buttons so that
the apparatus goes to the left side and then for it to move downwards.
Your goal is to pick up the large silver bowl that is at the bottom left
side.

10-Once you've lifted the
large silver cover, you will find a darkened circle on a piece of paper.
Once that happens the symbols that are at the base of the champagne
bottle will light up.
Use the buttons to change
the symbols.
The first button should be
the number 6
The second button should be
the "cents" sign and the last button should be the darkened
circle.
Once all the right buttons
have been hit, a piece of paper will come down letting you know that
you've completed the game.
