All
songs: Highlight "Arcade mode" and press Start. Then,
highlight "Easy", "Normal", or "Hard" and
press Right(6). Alternatively, highlight "Hard" at the
game mode selection screen and press Right(4).
Start the PlayStation with
the Dance Dance Revolution 2nd Remix disc, then switch it with a Dance
Dance Revolution disc. Then, choose event mode.
Super
mode: Press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left,
Right at the title screen. This mode allows the game to load
faster, with less moves from the on-screen characters.
Paint
mode: Enter the options screen and set "Level" to
"7"; "Max Stage" to "5" (for easy),
"3" (for normal), or "1" (for hard); "Time
limit" to "On"; and "Game Over" to "2nd
Remix". press Right, Left, Right, Left, Down(2),
Up(2) at the title screen. Then, press Select at the menu. This
mode allows you to paint your own arrows.
Change
on-screen characters: Hold Left or Right, then press Start.
Change
playing style: Hold X then press Start to change single, versus,
couple, double playing styles.
Another
mode: Press Down(2) at the game mode selection screen.
Maniac
mode: Unlock "Another mode", then press Down(2) at
the game mode selection screen.
Return
to normal mode: Unlock "Another mode" or "Maniac mode".
Then, press Up(2) at the game mode selection screen.
Right
mode: Press Select, Right(8) at the song selection
screen.
Left
mode: Press Select, Left(8) at the song selection
screen.
Mirror
mode: Press Select, Left, Right, Left, Right,
Left, Right, Left, Right at the song selection
screen.
Shuffle
mode: Press Select, Up, Down, Left, Right,
Down, Up, Right, Left at the song selection
screen.
Hidden
mode: Press Select, Up, Down, Up, Down,
Up, Down, Up, Down at the song selection
screen.
Little
mode: Press Select, Left, Down, Right, Down,
Left, Down, Right, Down, Up at the song
selection screen.
Non-stop
revolution and non-stop order modes: Successfully complete arcade mode fifty times under the normal
difficulty setting, or two hundred times under the hard difficulty
setting.
Play
with ending music: Enter the options menu and set the ending to "2nd
Remix". Successfully complete arcade mode without failing. Wait as
the credits begin, and a dance cursor will appear. Dance to the ending
music and get an SS rating. A confirmation sound will be heard if you
achieve a perfect and great on every step. Return to the menu and press Select.
The bonus track will now be an extra track that allows the ending music to
be played.
Random
selection in all music and event modes: Play the last round under normal or hard mode twenty times
under random selection. Try setting normal and hard mode to have one
stage, then choose arcade mode, select normal or hard mode, and always
choose random select.
Soundtrack: Place the game disc in an audio CD player and play track two
and above to hear music from the game.
