All
tracks: This game uses an unusual code system in which R1 must
be tapped to the rhythm of a particular song at the main options screen.
The sound of an engine is heard to confirm correct code entry. A excerpt
of each song has been included in MIDI format as a guide to how R1
should be pressed. Note: Tap the rhythm at different speeds until the code
is accepted by the game.
All Switzerland levels Use R1 to match the rhythm of the musical sequence "Doe,
a deer, a female deer".
All Moscow levels Use R1 to match the rhythm of the musical sequence
"Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way".
All Scotland levels Use R1 to match the rhythm of the musical sequence
"Hark, where the night is falling", from Scotland the Brave.
All Easter Island levels Use R1 to match the rhythm of the musical sequence
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you".
All Egypt levels Use R1 to match the rhythm of the musical sequence
"Always look on the bright side of life", from Monty Python's
The Meaning Of Life.
All Hong Kong levels Use R1 to match the rhythm of the untitled soft pipe flute
music played in front of the monastery on this level.
All multiplayer levels Use R1 to match the rhythm of the musical sequence
"Zippidy-Do-Dah Zippidy-Ay", from Song Of The South. Select
two player split-screen mode to race on six more tracks. Select four
player link-up mode to access the tracks normally found only on two
player mode.
All levels Use R1 to match the rhythm of the musical sequence "Ding
dong, the witch is dead, which old witch, the wicked witch", from
The Wizard Of Oz.
Multi-player
suicide mode: Use R1 to match the rhythm of the musical sequence
"Supercallifragilisticexpialidotious" from Mary Poppins. Then,
select an "A" track in split screen mode. Each player will race
around the track in opposite directions.
Hong
Kong bonus level: Drive around the circuit on Hong Kong level 5 until reaching a
dirt track. Once on the track, you will eventually come to a small low
bridge that bridges a small stream. Get off the road and quickly try to
drive under the bridge. Drive into the orange ball under the bridge in the
middle of the stream to start the bonus level.
Moscow
bonus level: Select the Moscow course and finish in first place to continue
to Moscow level 2. At the start of Moscow level 2, drive backwards until
you get to a small jump. Continue past it, turn around, and drive off it.
Jump off it at an angle to land over the barrier to the right of the jump.
Look between the building to find an orange ball. Drive into it to load
the secret level.
Switzerland
bonus level: Start the Switzerland level 1 track. Drive until you reach a
collection of houses and people. At a certain point in front of the
houses, you can drive up around them. There are two that have a "ski
house" sign on them. Drive behind the farthest one up the hill. You
should see a yellow and orange ball. Drive into it to load the secret
level.
Easter
Island bonus level: Complete Easter Island level 1, and continue to level 2. Drive
around the circuit until you see a small jump. It may be hard to see, as
it is the same color as the sand. Near it is a red and white barrier. As
you face it, on the right side you can drive around it. You will see a
small triangle shaped piece of sand. At the end of it is an orange ball.
Drive into it to load the secret level.
Egypt
bonus level: Select Egypt level 1. Drive through the town at the beginning
until you are out in the open desert. Immediately before the first tunnel
is a piece of land with some buildings on the right side of the road.
Drive to where the piece of land starts, and drive up the shortest side.
This is the only way to get up there. Drive on it without steering back on
the road. Drive for a few seconds until you reach the end of the piece of
land. About at the end is an orange ball. Drive into it to load the secret
level.
Use
horn: Press Up during a race to use the horn.
