Shoot
paintballs: Pause game play and display the race statistics screen from the
options menu. Hold L1+ R1 + L2 + R2 or press
that combination of buttons several times. The sound of an engine will
confirm correct code entry. Resume game play and press Triangle to
shoot at the other cars.
Machine
gun: Pause game play as soon as the green flag drops and display the
race statistics screen from the options menu. Hold L1+ R1 + L2
+ R2 + Triangle or press that combination of buttons several
times. The sound of an engine will confirm correct code entry. Resume game
play and press Square to shoot at the other cars.
Pinnacle
Trading Cards car: Select exhibition mode. Highlight Bobby Labonte's car on the
car selection screen, then hold X and press Up, Down.
EA
Sports car: Select exhibition mode. Highlight Kenny Wallace's car on the
car selection screen, then hold X and press Up, Down.
Turbo
mode option: Hold Circle and press Up, Left, Down,
Right at the options screen. A new option that increases the game's
frame rate will appear at the bottom of the screen.
Faster
settings: Enter the car setup screen and adjust the tire pressure to the
maximum, wedge to the minimum, rear spoiler to the minimum, and gear
ratios to the maximum.
Waving
driver: Select the view in which the driver and steering wheel are
visible. Then, hold Triangle until the driver waves.
Hint:
Shield of paint: Enable the "Shoot paint balls" code, then do donuts
while holding Triangle. It will make a shield of paint to make you
unstoppable. Note: This is helpful on races where other cars are directly
behind you, and attempting to move ahead.
Hint:
Car position and speed: Cars will have different speeds depending on what position you
are in.
Position 24 to 21: The cars
will be very slow and very easy to pass.
Position 20 to 13: The cars
will be quicker and harder to pass, but you will be able to tell which
cars are very fast and are very slow.
Position 12 to 2: The cars
will be competitive and will be at relatively the same speed.
Position 1: A select amount
of cars will be very quick and then there will be a huge change in speed
for the CPU cars (usually from position 9 to 14). This is most
noticeable at Bristol.
