Mirror
mode: Successfully complete story mode using only one credit.
Hint:
Ducking: Use an arcade stick controller in port two. Use your foot to
press X or Circle to duck. You can also now shoot one
handed.
Hint:
Extra lives: Shoot 20 people in a row in easy mode or 30 in a row in normal
mode to receive an extra life.
When you enter the boat and
are in the room before the next stage, there is a vase. Next to that is a
glass. If you shoot the glass you will get an extra life.
Hint:
Level 1: Easy target: In area 2 in level 1, the last scene, shoot the green gas tanks
behind the shield man. The scene will be finished easily.
Hint:
Level 1: Extra life: In area 2 in level 1, do not shoot the yellow canisters behind
the man with the shield. Instead, aim for the green barrel on the right.
If you shoot it, you will get an extra life.
Hint:
Level 4: Extra life: In area 1 in level 4, after you enter the room where you have
to fight the chef, there are pots and pans in the upper part of the
screen. Shoot the middle shelf, the pan on the left will give you an extra
life.
Hint:
Level 3: Extra life: When you get to the area where men dressed in orange fire at
you, shoot at the orange target near the top of the screen (where it is
lit up). You will gain an extra life.
Hint:
Airport: Health: In area 3 in the airport level, shoot the top of the water
fountain where the water comes out to receive a health.
Hint:
Repel the knife: On Kantaris' Yacht, towards the end of Area 3, you will fight
enemies in the kitchen and encounter the somewhat crazy chef. This chef is
a toned down version of Sherudo from the first Time Crisis (with a
more basic style). One ability that you can use against the chef (but
could not use against Sherudo), is that you can fire at a flying knife in
mid-air to actually stop it and receive a bonus. However, it is extremely
hard to connect with in the heat of battle, and for some players, may be
impossible to accomplish.
Hint:
Boss area at the end of the game: Extra life: When the "toy" appears and is side on, shoot
repeatedly at the spikes at the front of it. You will eventually get
another life.
Hint:
Avoid losing a life: Duck during red bullets. Those bullets will hit you and take
away a life.
Hint:
Know when you will lose: Under the easy difficulty setting, the game ends at Rio Oro.
However, under the normal difficulty setting you will get the full
mission, including the Titanium Robots and a Wild Dog who seems to be
struggling to keep up. However, do not let this fool you. The battle
against the Wild Dog will be a shock for normal standard Time Crisis
and Time Crisis 2 players. For some, it will be all too easy run
out of time during the final point. Skilled players should have no problem
avoiding the Wild Dog's still-intact high powered gun arm (which is now
very accurate). However, the last action point poses problems concerning
time. If you win the fight for the first time, you will most often find
that the clock nearly runs out. Here is how the game reveals if you are
going make it or not. If during the near-closing seconds of the fight, you
see two Wild Dogs appear at once (which are actually two disguised Robot
Ninjas), this means you are either about to run out of time, or you will
definitely run out and lose. If the two Robot Ninjas are not seen, it
means that you have a chance to finish. Once you know they have not
appeared, prepare to shoot Wild Dog rapidly as he will advance closer
towards you, while rapidly firing the weapon. This is to scare you into
hiding and wasting time, when in fact no bullets will actually hit you
on-target here. Simply focus on firing rapidly. If you hear Wild Dog cry
in agony, you have defeated him.
Glitch:
Wrong gun: When you kill a terrorist with a Rocket Launcher or a Machine
Gun, they will drop pistols instead of the weapons they held.
