Cutscenes" for Istanbul. Select a movie and watch it. At this time,
press Triangle, Circle(2), R1, R2, L1(2).
There is no confirmation sound. When you go into the "Take A Ride"
menu, Istanbul will be available.

Wheeler Havoc: Kill all ten Timmy Vermicellis in Miami. Go to the Miami armory
to activate the "18 Wheeler Havoc" option.
Fugitive
Mode: Kill all ten Timmy Vermicellis in Nice. Go to the Miami armory to
activate the "Fugitive Mode" option. All pedestrians have weapons
in this mode.
Infinite
Mass: Kill all ten Timmy Vermicellis in Istanbul. Go to the Istanbul
armory to activate the "Infinite Mass" option. Tanner's car or
motorcycle can hit any other vehicle without stopping or being damaged in
this mode.
Hint:
Timmy Vermicellis: In Miami, Nice and Istanbul, there are ten hidden characters
called "Timmy Vermicelli". They are equipped with a machine gun
and have a striking resemblance to Tommy Vercetti in Grand Theft Auto:
Vice City . They have big hands, referencing Rockstar's portrayal of
Tanner in The Driver mission in Grand Theft Auto 3. He also has
swimming armbands, relating to the fact you cannot swim in Grand Theft
Auto.
To kill the Timmy Vermicellis
easily, use your grenade launcher then stand back and watch him explode.
Hint:
Istanbul: Euro race car: Start at the location near Topkapi and Sehzedabasi. Go to the
first street and turn right. Go to the highway entrance, the first street,
and turn right again. Go to the second to the last street, just before the
railroad tracks, and stop. You will see a building and railroad cars on you
right. Go in there. Go between the railroad car and the building to get to
the front. Go to the fifth big open door and you will see a container on the
floor. The car is behind that container.
Hint:
Istanbul: Roadster car: In the same area where Timmy Vermicelli is in the lookout
building on stilts and the jump, continue down that road, to the right. Go
past the crane and go left. Stop at the containers. The hidden car is in the
second red container. The car is difficult to get into, but it is possible
to enter it.
Hint:
Istanbul: Racer GT car: Start at the "E" in the word "West" of
"West Beyoglu" on the map. It is directly across the road. Facing
southwest, follow the road and take the third left (not counting the little
alleyways behind the buildings). Go straight until you get to the
intersection then go in the opening of the fence on the left corner. Follow
along the left wall until you find the second opening in the small concrete
barrier on the right. Look on along the south side of the building for a
large garage door containing the secret car.
Hint:
Istanbul: Timmy Vermicellis: Pause game play and look on the map for Beyogu West. At the end
of the word "West", you will see a T-shaped alley. Go to that
alley and stop at the intersection. You will hear music. Go into the back
entrance of the night club through the metal doors. There is a Timmy
Vermicelli inside.
Start at your hideout near
Seraglio Point. Go down that road, heading away from the railroad tracks. Go
to the fifth street and turn left. Go to the first street and turn right.
You will see a small building on your left. Go through the door and follow
it on down to find Timmy Vermicelli. Alternately, exit the game and restart
the Take A Ride mode. Start at the southern-most starting point. Follow the
street and take the second left. The small building will be on your left.
You can find Timmy inside your
hideout near Seraglio Point. To find him, start at the most southern point
on the map. You should be quite close to your hideout. Press Start
and locate your hideout. Once you enter the door to your hideout, go
straight and to the left and enter the door. To the left are some stairs.
Follow them up to the top floor (four flights). At the top of the stairs you
will see a hallway to your right. Go down the hallway and to the left. On
the left wall, there is a door. Enter it to find all of your supplies. This
room also has a very large rug in it. Proceed to the right side of the room,
past some beaded curtains. On the left wall of this small room is a door.
Enter it to find a Timmy Vermicelli.
Go to the closest bridge by the
open sea on the Seraglio Point side. Stop on the bridge and take the walkway
down and around to the glassy area. Timmy Vermicelli will be down there.
Pause game play and look on the
map for a tan area next to the bridge on the Beyoglu side. Go to that area.
Follow the road down and around to near the containers and the jump. Timmy
Vermicelli is in a small lookout building on stilts to the left of the
containers. Go up the steps of the lookout building and open the door to
find him.
Start at the "K" in
Kennedy Road on the map. Drive away or towards the left of the word. Get on
the train tracks and go to where it ends. Look for a little building with a
lot of glass windows. Walk up the steps and enter to find a Timmy
Vermicelli.
Start at the right side of the
bottom bridge near the word "Istanbul" on the map. Follow the road
near the water, on the Beyglu side, until you get to a gray area shaped
liked a rectangle. Look for an opening between buildings, and keep going
that way. A Timmy Vermicelli will be on one of the buildings.
Start at the western-most
starting point and take a left immediate after where you start. Take the
next left and look on a right for an old warehouse with steps on the side.
Go up the steps and you will see a Timmy Vermicelli waiting there.
Start at the "D" in
"Road" of "Kennedy Road" on the map. Go north up the
street under the train bridge and turn at the first right. Go straight, just
slightly past the next intersection. Look on the right for a building that
has a fence on the roof and a green door between two light posts. You can
enter that door. Once inside, turn left and follow the hall down the stairs.
At the bottom on the right is a small room where you will find a Timmy
Vermicelli. He is in the northeast corner.
Look for the bridge closest to
the word "Istanbul" on the map. When you are looking at the map
from north to south, go to the alleys to the southern end of the brown spot
at the southern end of the bridge. Go to the alley in the eastern direction
to where it comes to a "T". Directly in front of you to your left
should be a brick/fence. Follow the fence to the left behind the buildings
to find the Timmy Vermicellis.
Hint:
Istanbul: Bridge control: You can raise and lower the drawbridge. Go into the little
buildings at either end of the bridge. Walk up to the controls and press Action
(L1).
Hint:
Istanbul: Tram ride: Wait at a tram station for one to arrive. Walk through its door
and you can ride it around the city, shooting out of the open windows if
desired.
Hint:
Istanbul: Explore area: If you are on a mission in Istanbul where you have to go to a
specific location (without a time or distance limit), just get in a car and
drive around wherever desired.
Hint:
Miami: GT-40: Begin at Tanner's house and look at the map. Go onto the first
big bridge seen on the map. In the middle of that bridge, follow the first
street to the right. Enter the garage at the end of that street to find a
car that resembles a Ford GT-40.
Hint:
Miami: Go-Kart: Drive to Coral Gables and find the Biltmore Hotel, located
opposite the water tower. Look in behind the bushes in the backyard to find
a bunker entrance. Drive through it then climb up the stairs. Kill Timmy
Vercelli then activate the switch to open the gate below. Drive into the
next area and through the long tunnel. Once you exit, drive directly ahead
to the Go-Kart track. You can find a Go-Kart in the pit area. Note: If it is
not here, leave, then return later.
Hint:
Miami: Skate park: Go to the southern-most point in Miami. Turn around and take the
first left turn. Follow the road until it ends then turn left. There should
be an opening in the fence. Turn right at the end and go past some dumpsters
(the kind with ramps on them). Drive on the sidewalk until you see a large
gray wall. There should be two blue pieces of wood set up like a ramp. Go up
the ramp. You should land in a big curved halfpipe. Go forward up a hill
with benches on it. There will be a skating-pool. To your right will be a
regular halfpipe.
Hint:
Miami: Shelby Cobra: Goto the safehouse near Little Havana, the motel room. Take the
short road that leads directly south in front of the safehouse. Take a left
at the end and look for a small unmarked sideroad on your right. Follow this
into the construction area from one of the undercover missions. Follow this
road to the end where it turns right. Make a quick left and then another
left when you come to the edge of the water. Look to the left in a small
alley near the brick building on your left for a car that resembles a Shelby
Cobra.
Hint:
Miami: Boat: Start in a boat near the word "Miami" on the map. Look
for a strange shape near a diamond-shaped piece of land. Drive to it to find
a huge resort boat. Note: Nothing is in it.
Hint:
Miami: Dodge Island: It is possible to reach Dodge Island by boat, but there is
nothing on it.
Hint:
Miami: Go-Kart track: The Go-Kart track where you find the Go-Kart can also be used
with many other vehicles. The only limitations are that the vehicle can
drive on land and can fit through the tunnels to reach it. If you use the
car that you started Take A Ride mode with, the timer will not start for
you.
Hint:
Miami: Timmy Vermicellis: Go to the southwest corner of the map, below Coral Gables. Find
the Biltimore Hotel. To the right of the hotel is a hidden tunnel behind the
brush. Go through the tunnel and up a catwalk into the Gate Control room to
find a Timmy Vermicelli.
Go to the western side of
Miami, in Little Havana. Near the large square-shaped block on the western
side is the Orange Bowl. Enter the side of the stadium through one of the
open stairwell gates. Inside the seating area, go around the stadium until
you find the small room at the end at one of the two sides. A Timmy
Vermicelli is inside, hiding behind a Sobe vending machine that is laying
down.
Go to the safehouse near Little
Havana, the motel room. Take the short road that leads directly south in
front of the safehouse. Take a left at the end and look for a small unmarked
side road on your right. Follow this into the construction area from one of
the undercover missions. Follow the road and take the first right, then a
left. Look for the Timmy Vermicelli on top of a larger house on your left.
Go to the safehouse near Little
Havana, the motel room. Take the short road that leads directly south in
front of the safehouse. Take a left at the end and follow the road past the
on/off ramps and take a right down the road under the tram boarding
platform. Follow the road all the way until it curves to the left, go
straight, and follow the narrow one way road under the tram tracks. The road
will curve to the left and you should see a brick building on the right side
at the corner. Follow the brick building around the left side, past a bush.
There will some black doors and a small alley around the left side of the
building. Look in the alley garage for the Timmy Vermicelli.
Go to Tanner's house, the
safehouse near South Point Park. Go out the front door next to the garage.
Go behind the house directly across the street to find a Timmy Vermicelli.
Get a boat and go to the group
of huts on the water, near "Miami" on the map. Inside the hut
nearest to Dodge Island is a Timmy Vermicelli.
Go to the southern-most bridge
from the mainland that leads to Dodge Island. Once over the bridge, go
behind the first fence immediately on your right. Look inside the first
boathouse on the right side of the island for a Timmy Vermicelli.
Go to the southern-most part of
the map near Coconut Grove. Look on the map for where four blocks form a
perfect square. Go to the center of the square where the roads meet in a
"plus", and look for the Coconut Bank and the Aye Eye Optical.
Across the street from the Optical is a building with graffiti and a large
staircase on the side. Go up the staircase and check the garage doors for a
Timmy Vermicelli.
Go to the safe house near
Little Havana, the motel room. From the safehouse, take a left and continue
straight until you see your first left. Follow this road and take the first
left, under the highway. Continue down the road and watch the right side for
some basketball courts. Turn right into the parking lot just past the courts
and look to the right for a white building. Go around the white building to
find a Timmy Vermicelli.
From the starting point near
"Miami Beach", go north and take a left at the "T"
intersection. At the next "T" intersection, take a right onto the
curvy road that leads northeast. Take the first road on your left, near the
triangle-shaped block. Make another quick left and follow the left side of
this road. A short distance on the left, look for some bushes and a dumpster
next to a driveway. In the driveway on the left is the fire-escape up a
hotel from a previous mission. Go up the stairs and into the building. Use
the stairwell to get to the roof. On the roof, go to the opposite end with
the large neon sign. Look inside the small room on this roof and call the
elevator to find a Timmy Vermicelli.
Hint:
Miami: Bridge control: You can raise and lower the drawbridge. Go into the control
towers at either end of the bridge. Walk up to the controls and press Action
(L1).
Hint:
Miami: Port gate control: You can also open and close the gates at the port in Miami. Walk
up to the button that is to the left of the door and on a skinny square
pole. Face the skinny pole looking in the direction of the gate and press Action
(L1).
Hint:
Miami: Ride on train tracks: Get a motorcycle and follow the tracks above you until you find
steps. You can go up the stairs and ride on the tracks. The trains are slow.
Hint:
Miami: Big air with car: Find one of the stairs that lead to the train cars above the
ground. Try to get a small car that fits into the stairway or get a street
bike. Drive all the way up and get on the subway track. Drive as fast as you
can without falling and find a subway car to ram into and your car will fly
off the tracks.
Hint:
Miami: Pong arcade game: Go to the shopping mall in Miami to find a Pong arcade game.
Hint:
Nice: Forklift truck: In Take A Ride mode, choose Nice. Go to the most south-eastern
road and bear west along the drive next to the large house. Turn left into
an opening which takes you into a garden. Turn right and go into the garage
which contains the forklift truck. Press Circle to operate the
forklift. This is useful when stuck in traffic.
Go to the area where you did
the mission to where you put the blue container on the trailer. The large
house is across the street from the entrance. There will be a house with a
two car garage and a road to each side of the house. Take the road to the
right and go to the first left. The garage is behind the church. The
forklift is also a secret car.
Hint:
Nice: Hippie Van: In Take A Ride mode, choose Nice and drive to the top of
"Cagnes Sur Mer" in the west. When you have driven up the last
hill you will see a garage on your left side. Walk towards it and it will
open. You will find a "hippie" van inside.
In Take A Ride Mode, select the
point to the left of the map. Then, go to the castle. Go inside the castle
courtyard and look around. You will see a blue garage door. The hippie van
is inside.
Hint:
Nice: Hot Rod: Enter the airport and follow the runway to the left. Locate a
building with three red doors. Open the door to the left to find a Hot Rod.
Hint:
Nice: Timmy Vermicellis: Go to the airport and ascend the air controller tower. It is the
only big tower in the airport. Be careful and be ready to shoot when you
reach the top. He is located there.
From the western-most starting
point, do a 180 degree turn and look for a driveway on the right side of the
road just before the underpass. Go up the drive and towards the right is an
open building with a fence around it. Look inside along the upper catwalk
for a Timmy Vermicelli.
Use the second starting point
from the left side of the map. Follow the road straight north. When it
becomes very curvy, listen for a bell. Look on the right side of the road
for an opening in the fence. When you find the building where the bell is
sounding, check the side for a Timmy Vermicelli.
Go to the southwest corner of
the large gray "U"-shaped area on the map, near the road that runs
along the beach. Follow the beach road towards the east, near the gray area,
and look for arches and a staircase up the cliff side. Follow the staircase
up to the top and into a large grassy area overlooking the water. Look in
the gazebo to the north for a Timmy Vermicelli.
Go to your hideout in the
Villefranche-Sur-Mer area and to the road above the hideout. Go past the
shortcut tunnel and past the other short tunnel. Just past the second right
turn you will see two trees next to a large rock. Go between both trees and
over the large rock and you will reach an area with a jump directly in front
of you. A Timmy Vermicelli is in the pit below the jump. Alternately,
restart the Take A Ride and choose the Villefranche-Sur-Mer area, or the
fourth circle. When you begin, turn around and go to the two trees with the
large rock. You can also take the second right and go to the traffic light,
then turn right. Go to the traffic light again and go right. Follow the bend
and there will be a tunnel on your right.
Go to the harbor area where in
a mission you put a blue container on the trailer and hooked the semi up to
the trailer. The harbor looks like a piece of land that is surrounded by
water on the map. Look for a shack in the corner. A Timmy is hiding in a
crate in the far corner next to the little shack. If you cannot remember
where that area is located, look for the land that sticks out furthest to
the sea on your map, or restart a Take A Ride and choose the circle at the
furthest right. That is the Villefranche-Sur-Mer area. When you start, turn
around and follow that road. Take four left turns, then past three right
turns. Look for a fence on the left past the third right turn. The road to
the entrance is near the end of that fence. Note: The Timmy is crouching, so
you may not see him until you walk up to that corner.
Go to the lighthouse near the
area in the mission where you had to drop off the trailer. The lighthouse is
near that area. A Timmy Vermicelli will be at the top of the lighthouse. If
you cannot remember where that area is located, pause game play and look on
the map for a large gray area. It will be between Baies Des Anges and Mont
Boron. The lighthouse is near that large gray area on the map.
Start with a boat at the far
right point. Make a hard left, (almost a U-turn) and enter the cave. A Timmy
Vermicelli is on the left side.
Starting with a boat in the
western-most starting point, go straight up the river. Once you get to the
large rightward bend in the river, look out for a boulder on your left. A
Timmy Vermicelli is behind it.
From the starting point second
from left, go towards the beach and make a left. Continue until you see a
ramp with a gate and trash cans in the way, parallel to the street. Go up
the ramp and continue across rooftops until you fall through wood planks. A
Timmy Vermicelli will be waiting there.
Hint:
Nice: Ramps: In Take A Ride mode, go to the airport on the map. You will find
about five different ramps at the back of the airport near the water. To the
west of the airport is a small river. On the other side of that river is a
huge ramp that you can use to jump over the river to the airport.
Hint:
Nice: Stuntman arcade game: Go to the shopping mall in Nice to find a Stuntman arcade
machine.
Hint:
Nice: Boats: Go to the word "Rade de Villefranche-sur-mer" on your
map. Then, go to a pier that is shaped like a finger. Go to almost the end
of that pier and there will be a path on your right. Follow it to find about
twenty boats.
Hint:
The Chase mission: In Istanbul's The Chase mission, there is no easy way to describe
how to drive after Calita other than saying that there is no reason to run
into her when she is in the car, because her mass is much greater. After you
chase her to the bridge, the intermission sequence shows her jumping the
drawbridge. Go over to the bridge control room on the left. Go up to the
yellow box and press L. The bridge will be lowered. Get back in your
car and chase her while she is on the run. She will run into a motorcycle
place. After the intermission sequence of her hopping on a bike, chase her
on the bike. Applying the brake to turn with the bike is needed very rarely.
Try releasing the gas rather than braking most of the time. Try to catch up
to her, then bump her with your bike to complete the mission.
Hint:
Dodge Island mission: As soon as the level begins, get in the car and go to the nearest
vehicle, or you can simply drive to the edge and slowly drive off it and
land in the water. Then, climb up the ladder and follow the edge for a short
distance. On your left, you will see several men with machine guns as you
proceed forward. Shoot them around the corner of the wall, being careful not
to fall off of the rim of the dock. If you fall in the water while trying to
get back on the rim, you must go back to the ladder that you started from.
Continue through the path until you get to the part where the car is
located. Shoot all visible enemies then get into the car. Look at the map
and drive forward to the point of the dock and get into the water. There are
enemies on the dock that will fire at you. Swim as close as you can to the
yacht, and go around the left side of it to the ladder leading to the dock.
Once there, it will be much easier to drive to the goal or just explore the
world. Note: The boat will glitch if you take it to the goal and freeze the
game. If you are tailed, drive your car into the water and they will follow
you. They are much more defenseless while treading water, and their
passenger will automatically go down with the wreck.
Hint:
Gator's Yacht mission: The best way to do this mission is to go to Stiltsville (the
water huts) first and get the C4. The water huts are near the word
"Miami" on the map. The easiest way to get the C4 out of there is
to park your boat far enough away that they cannot shoot you easily, but you
can still shoot them. Beware of men shooting at you from other huts. The hut
with the C4 on it is the one on the farthest left-hand side. After shooting
everyone in sight, swim over to the ladder and climb up. There will probably
be a man waiting for you at the top. Shoot him, then go up the stairs and in
the door. There will be two men waiting for you inside. Shoot them. There is
health in the corner, and the yellow highlighted box on the shelf is the C4.
Go into the next room. There is is a man with a girl in there. Shoot the man
then get the C4 on the bed and from the table. When you exit the hut, an
intermission sequence will start, showing Gator's Yacht. Hop in the boat and
go over to it. Again, park far enough away so that they cannot get a good
shot at you, but you can still shoot them. They are hanging out on the back
of the boat. Sometimes they are not there, but check just in case. There
should a man on the left side of the boat and another on the second level in
the center that you can shoot. Hop on the boat by using the ladder or by
jumping from boat to boat. As soon as you get on the boat, a man on the left
will appear and shoot at you. Go in the door on the first floor on the
right. A man will come out and shoot at you, and another will wait by the
couch. There is health on the coffee table. Go into the next room with the
dining table. To the left is a table where you place the C4 and get some
health. Stand by the yellow box and press L. Go out the same way that
you came in. Then, go on the second level of the ship inside the door. There
is a man crouched down on the right, and two men on the left. After blowing
them away, get the health on the checkerboard coffee table. Go up the
hallway on the left and another man should come out around the corner. You
do not need to go in the first room on the right. However if you need
health, go into the second room. Finally, at the end of the hallway is
another door. When you open the door, there will be a man directly ahead and
another on the left. After shooting them go up to the yellow box and press L.
There is also some health here. Go out the same way you entered. There will
be a man at the back of the boat shooting at you when you exit from the
door. Go down stairs to the first floor in the door on the left. At the
bottom of the stairs is a man waiting for you. There will also be a man to
the right. There is some health directly ahead and to the left with a man
guarding it. However if you go behind the stairs, there is a man guarding
where the last C4 has to go. Kill him and press L to place the C4.
You now have thirty seconds to get off the boat. Because you put the C4s
down in this order, all you need to do is go up the steps, shoot a man when
you exit the door, then hop in your boat and back away from the yacht. If
you do not have a boat, then swim away.
Hint:
Hijack mission: Move the truck in the road. Follow the truck until you are
blocked in. Shoot off the front bumper with the M-16 then continue to shoot
it towards the vehicle. As it bounces off of the truck, the truck will get
back out of the way. By doing this, you do not have to go off the annoying
jump around back of the building that always flips your car over. When you
catch up to the truck, get alongside him and just push the front of the it
toward the lamp posts. He will immediately come to a violent stop. This will
give you a perfect opportunity to kill him without totaling his vehicle, and
thereby ruining the mission. To find the place where the car is located,
continue on the path he was taking then take a left to get to the end of the
map and make a right. You will see a couple of gunman on the right in front
of the entrance. Never go in the other side, placing the target in the line
of fire.
Hint:
Hunted mission: Drive Dubois to the boat house. An intermission sequence showing
Dubois dying and you escaping Jericho will appear. You will be trapped in a
room while they blowtorch a door to get to you. The best way to get out is
to get on the forklift and lift up one of the green boxes. Drive slowly in
between the broken uprise against the wall. Then, climb up the ladder to the
uprise. They will probably be shooting at you by this time. Jump from the
uprise to the box, then to the other side. Run down that side to the ladder.
Get the gun in front of the ladder. Climb down and collect the health at the
bottom. Shoot the man in the boat outside of the boathouse. Then, jump in a
boat and back out. However, beware of a man in another boat shooting at you
with an Uzi. It is possible to get away in the boat without killing him, but
if you feel the need, shoot him. Then, drive to the river you came down
before getting caught with Dubois. There will be two boats with two people
in each ready for you at the mouth of the river. Drive close enough so that
you can shoot them, but they cannot shoot you. After killing them, drive the
boat up the river. Get off the boat and go up a ramp. Get in a car without
the "red" drivers on your radar seeing you -- if they catch you it
is difficult to kill or escape from them. Drive to the destination. Enter
the "circle road" on the west side then take the first right.
Drive until you see a road that goes up a hill on your right with some white
stones blocking your car. Get out of your car and go up the hill. Calita's
gang have set up a road block at the top of the hill. Shoot them. Then, to
get by the cars (you cannot get in or jump over them), shoot the grill of
the car facing you until it explodes. You should have plenty of ammunition
if you picked up the gun at the boathouse. Then, walk until you see another
road that goes up a hill on your right. Walk up that hill and turn right at
the top. Walk until you see a street that goes up a hill on your left. There
will be another roadblock waiting for you. Shoot them. Blow up one of those
cars so that you can get by. Shoot the two men that are standing in there.
Then, run to the arrow. Someone will be shooting at you. However if you get
to the arrow you do not have to worry about them.
Hint:
Rescue Dubois mission: In the car chase mission when you must save Dubois, instead of
chasing him in your yellow car, run diagonally (up and left) until you get
in front of the escaping car. The car will hit you every time you get in
front of it. Note: Make sure you have enough energy for this trick. With
practice and good timing, instead of the car running you down, it will knock
you up on the hood. Once on top of the hood, duck down and aim for the roof
with the weapon of your choice.
Hint:
Retribution mission: Use the following trick to finish part three of the mission fast
and easily. Leave an extra health pack on the way to chase Gator. Do not
shoot the thugs outside. Just run to the boat and chase Gator. Do not lose
him or the mission ends. Chase him to the Stiltsville deck. Stop in between
the two decks. Make sure that they do not see you. Shoot the two on right
deck top and bottom. On the other side, shoot the three thugs; one on top
and two on the bottom. If you cannot reach the thugs, stand on top of the
boat. Then, go back to the docks. Stay in the boat and shoot the thugs that
you left behind. When they die, go up to the docks and get your last health
pack that you left in the second room. If you do not need the pack, go back
anyway until you see Gator's life meter again. This also happens if you need
the health pack. Go back to Stiltsville deck. Park near the one with Gator's
boat. Stand on the boat and shoot the man on the top that is ready to shoot
you. Then, park the boat by Gator's boat. Get off. Do not go up to kill the
thugs. Stand by Gator's boat and shoot at the back engine of the Cigarette
38 Top Gun boat. Watch as Gator's meter goes down and finish the mission.
Hint:
Surveillance mission: In Istanbul's Surveillance mission, follow Jericho. The less the
proximity meter is, the closer you are to Jericho's car. The more full it
is, the farther you are. After following him, you will be told to find
another way into the meeting. Around back is a set of stairs that leads down
to a door. Walk in and there should be a man facing the other direction in
front of you. Pull out you silenced gun (with the long barrel) and shoot him
in the head. It has to be a one shot kill or you will fail the mission. This
may be difficult to do if auto-aim is on. Go up the stairs on your left. On
the next flight of stairs, there will be a man at the top. Shoot him with a
one shot kill. Then, go up the next flight of stairs and turn around. There
will be a man standing by a balcony. Shoot him in the head quickly, because
he moves from that location if you wait too long. Go up the stairs on the
right. Go down the hallway. There will be an open room to your left. Inside
is another man. Shoot him with one shot. Then, go down the riser in the
middle of the broken floor and to the arrow. After the intermission sequence
of the meeting you have to fight your way out. There will be a man in front
of your right of the bat. Go out the door and there will be men on the
uprise across from where you are located. They will be shooting at you, but
it is a waste of time to shoot back. Run to your right and go up the stairs.
A man with a shotgun will be at the top of the first flight of stairs. Shoot
him and keep going. There will be a man at the doorway to the penthouse
waiting for you. Before walking outside, to your right is health if needed.
There are about four men with Ak-47s on the roof. After shooting them, go
behind where you just came out of (the penthouse) on the roof and get some
health if desired. Then, go across the roof and to the stairs. A man will
come up the stairs. After shooting him, stay on the roof and shoot everyone
on the lower level before you go down. There are two men that you can see.
Then, go down the steps and move across this roof. Three men will be hiding
behind the tanks and will come out at you. After shooting them and moving
on, three more men will come up the stairs on the other side after you.
Beware of the man crouched down behind the metal box. Before going down the
next set of stairs, shoot the two men in the construction building across
from you. Then go down the stairs and collect the health to the left. Next,
go in the construction building and down the ramp on the right. As soon as
you get down there, there will be four men waiting. After shooting them,
another man will come out at you. After killing him, go into the next area
on that level (the area in the sun). Another man will be there. After
shooting him, go down the ramp on the right. When you use that ramp, you
should see health directly ahead. Do not get it just yet -- it is a trap.
First, shoot the men in the next area of that level then shoot the men down
on the sidewalk across the street from the health. Then, go on the balcony
and get the health. If you need more health, go in the next area. It is in
the back left corner. Along the wall in the next area is a rectangular hole.
Jump down it. There are no men down here. Walk down the ramp and an
intermission sequence will start. There are about six men shooting at you
from behind there cars. Shoot the ones that run from the car and towards you
first, then just blow up one of the cars to kill the others. The Uzi works
the best. Then, get in the black truck that is there. Beware of the
"red" drivers on your radar. Drive to your hotel.
Hint:
Survival mode: After the countdown to start, turn the car around and drive in
the opposite direction. Go to the first road on the right and follow it. Try
not to get hit by the cops, as it will slow you down. A short distance up
that road is a parking garage on the right. Go inside and go all the way to
the top level. Try not to have any cops follow you. You can go the very top
level and just park at the corner. The cops will not go up there, and the
timer just keeps ticking.
Hint:
Cops gone wild: This will work on any level. During Take A Ride mode when the
cops are not after you, pull out your gun and start shooting people. Once
you see a cop coming towards you on your radar, quickly put your gun away.
The car will stop in the middle of the street and the two officers will get
out. One of the officers will stand by the car while the other wanders off.
Keep both of them in sight for about a minute (without pulling out you gun
or stealing a car). One of them will start shooting at people for no reason.
Sometimes both of them will shoot.
Hint:
Make cops run into you: Select Take A Ride moide. Get a cop on your tail. Get a short
distance from the cop. Stop and get out of the car. Walk directly behind
your car facing the cop with any gun out. If done correctly, the cop should
drive at full speed at you and kill you.
Hint:
Losing cops: When running away from the cops, weave in and out of traffic and
poles and trees. The cops will not be able to keep up because they will
crash.
Hint:
Get arrested: In any car, if you tail a police car for too long they will
arrest you.
Hint:
Getting out of roadblocks: To get out of roadblocks easier, try looking for a fence you can
drive through or just cut across some grass or the pavement. If you cannot
manage any of these, build up some speed and bash into one of the police
cars. Hit the front or the back, otherwise you will not get anywhere. Doing
this will probably cause you to flip your car over - try to steer in the
correct direction to help keep your balance. When you emerge from the other
side of the roadblock, you should have only one police car after you.
Hint:
Drive under car: Drive the Go-Kart in Miami and look for a moving or stationary
car. Slowly run into the car with the Go-Kart. The Go-Kart will go under the
car. This is useful for going past a car.
Hint:
Using 18 wheeler: You can hook and unhook your trailer from the cab during game
play. If you choose the semi when starting, look near the starting point for
a trailer. Back into the trailer to hook it up. To release the trailer press
Reload.
Hint:
Burnout: Press Circle or R3 to burnout.
For a very long burnout, at a
complete stop press Right Analog-stick Down, then pull it back. Doing
this will let you burnout for as long as desired. You can go faster by
slowly pushing the Analog-stick Forward.
Hint:
Horn: Press R1 or L3 for the horn.
Hint:
Thrill Cam: When driving a vehicle, hold L1 + R1 to activate
the Thrill Cam. It is a camera that watches from a distance and motion blurs
the view.
Hint:
Car bomb: Enable the "Invincibility", "All weapons" and
"Unlimited ammunition" codes. Then, get an Uzi and shoot a car's
engine until it catches on fire. You can also use a shotgun and shoot it
just over ten times. After it is on fire, jump in and the
"Invincibility" code will cause the flames to stop. Drive about 20
meters away from the car or cops to blow up. Jump out of the car and it will
roll and blow up.
Enable the
"Invincibility" code. Go to the engine of any vehicle and shoot
it. Keep going inside the vehicle every once in a while and check the damage
meter. When it is full, you can still drive it. To make a bomb, shoot the
car until it catches on fire. Very quickly get in the vehicle and it will
not explode. When you are ready to detonate it, pull in front of a vehicle
and get out. Within a matter of seconds, it will explode, and so will the
other vehicle.
Enable the
"Invincibility" code. Shoot a car until its engine is on fire and
get in. When you get out, it will blow up. Do this near a lot of cops to
kill almost or all of them.
When outside your car, take out
your gun and shoot at your car's window or hood. After about five shots, run
away from your car. After about five seconds after running from your car, it
will blow up. If traffic is waiting, the people in the cars will get killed,
but you will not.
Hint:
Road kill: Go to Take A Ride mode and choose the 18 Wheeler. Start driving
fast and head onto the wrong side of the road. When you see a car coming
towards you, ram it head-on. Then, get out of the vehicle and you can see
that the driver of the car you rammed died on impact. Note: Try to back your
truck back onto the correct side of the road because the cops will arrive to
investigate the accident. If you keep driving on the wrong road they will
come after you.
Hint:
Destroying horns: In Take A Ride mode, when you drive correctly sometimes an
annoying person gets behind you and constantly beeps their horn. If this
annoys you, you can back-up and ram your rear end into the front end of
their car to destroy the horn.
Hint:
SPAS-12 shotgun: Get your felony meter filled. The cops will start carrying
shotguns. Kill the cops and take their shotguns to get one. Note: In order
to always start Take A Ride mode with the shotgun you obtain, go to
"Quit Game" after you get one then go to "Profiles" on
the main menu and select "Save Profile".
Hint:
Tanner picks his nose: Allow the game to idle for over a minute and Tanner will pick his
nose.
Glitch:
Istanbul: Flying cars with dead people: Go to the bridge on the right of the map. Get a lot of cars stuck
on the bride. Try to spread your car across two lanes to block other cars.
Halfway down the bridge on the left (or right depending on where you are
coming from), is a control box. Push the button inside to lift the bridge.
When the bridge is at its highest, the cars will fall off. Run to the cars
and look inside. You will see many people dead in there cars. Note: Before
pushing the button, shoot the gun at a few cars; people will get out and
then fall off the bridge after you push the button.
Glitch:
Istanbul: Cars pass through bridge: Enable the "Infinite mass" option and hit a vehicle
near the middle of the bridge. It will ether go through the bottom of the
bridge or through the side rail.
Glitch:
Istanbul: Cars sink through ground: Enable the "Infinite mass" option and destroy or flip a
car over. It will begin to sink slowly through the ground.
Glitch:
Istanbul: Start with police car: Choose the "Take-A-Ride" option at the main menu.
Choose Istanbul. Enable the "All missions" cheat. Select either
the motor scooter or the motorcycle. When you start, you should have a
police car. To make yourself the only police car in Istanbul, use the
following settings when starting the Take-A-Ride game. City: Istanbul, Time:
Dawn, Weather: Dry, Cops: Off, Vehicle: One of the cycles.
Glitch:
Miami: Shoot onto tram roof: Find a track where the trams drive above the roads. Climb up onto
it via one of the staircases. When you see one heading your way, stand in
front of it. You must not have a weapon out at this time. Watch as it pushes
you alone. After a few seconds you should get vaulted forward; make sure you
do this on a straight track. When the tram runs you over, quickly pull out a
weapon and you should shoot up onto the roof. This may take a few attempts.
Glitch:
Miami: Go-Kart passes through bridge: Go to the drawbridge while driving the Go-Kart. Park the Go Kart
near the middle (but not directly over the center), then press the
drawbridge button. The bridge will rise, but the Go-Kart will not. It will
seem to just pass through the bridge. Press the drawbridge button again to
make it go down and the Go-Kart will be where you left it.
Glitch:
Miami: Swim through sand and rocks: Take a boat and drive off the coast of Coconut Grove. You should
see two green plots of land. Go to the largest of the two. The large green
plot of land should have two smaller tan plots of land on each side. With
your boat, drive to the one that is the straightest. Once there, park your
boat close to the rocks (only a few feet away). Then, jump off the boat into
the water and swim directly into the rocks or sand. If it does not work the
first time, drive your boat a few feet then try the same process again. You
will find that you can swim through the sand and rocks. Note: If you swim
all the way through the small plot of land, you will get stuck and be unable
to swim back to your boat.
Glitch:
Nice: Go underground: There is a small curved road that takes you into the airport
area. When you turn onto this road, there is an underground parking area on
the right. Drive into the bushes on the right and your car will be swallowed
up and fall onto a small square of land underground. If you walk off the
edge, you are thrown into the air and will die when you land. If you drive
off you will eventually die in your car.
Glitch:
Nice: Water tower drop: In Take A Ride mode, begin at the most eastern starting point
(Villefranche-Sur-Mer). Turn around and drive down that road. Make your
first left turn then on the right should be an archway that you can enter.
This is the same place that truck went to in the "Hijack" mission.
Inside are three dumpsters. Park a car or truck along side of the dumpster
underneath the water tower. Get out and shoot the wooden beam on the left,
and the water tower will fall on your car. Your car will only be slightly
damaged.
Glitch:
Nice: Flying pedestrian: Find a pedestrian sitting on one of the benches on the side of
the road. Shoot them and they will immediately fly up into the air.
Sometimes they will go straight up. At other times they will fly through the
air like Superman.
Glitch:
Nice: Walk or drive on water: Go to the Aeroport De Nice. You will see two runways. Start on
the right runway heading towards the "A" in "Aeroport"
on your map. When the runway ends, you will see a ramp on the other side. To
your right are some rocks. Drive into those rocks. Make sure when you hit
the rocks that they will launch you into the water, If you go out far
enough, you will be able to drive or walk on the water.
Glitch:
Enter blown up car: This will work on any level. In Undercover or Take A Ride mode,
shoot a car until it explodes. If the chassis part of the car is in an
upright position, you can get inside that part of the car after it has
exploded. This also works with trucks.
Glitch:
Pass through bike: Choose any fast bike and start Take A Ride mode. Go as fast as
you can on the wrong side of the street. If you see another fast bike
coming, try to bump into it and you will find that you cannot do so.
Instead, you will you will just pass through the other bike.
Glitch:
Boat death: When driving on a speedboat, press L1 to stand inside it.
Walk up to the steps at the front of the boat. Go onto the first step. Jump,
and you will instantly die. This is useful if you are stuck at sea and want
to get back to land quickly.
Glitch:
Pass through walls: When you are in Film Director mode, use the tripod camera and go
by a building. Occasionally the camera will actually go through the wall and
into the building. Most buildings have no interior, and are just a hollow
wall with no floor and "blue hell". A building that definitely
works in this way is the American Airlines Arena by the bridges in Miami.
Glitch:
Pass through objects: Start in Miami at Tanner's house and choose a narrow vehicle (for
example, the first car). Back your car into Tanner's driveway. Get out and
walk inside Tanner's house. Open every door (including the garage door) and
take every weapon in the house. Then, get back in your car and turn right as
you exit the driveway. You will notice two small poles at the end of the
road. Drive in between the poles and into the parking lot in front of you.
When you get to the far end of the parking lot, stop and get out of your
vehicle. Then, get back in and drive back to Tanner's house (driving between
the two poles again). Stop in front of the house, get out, and walk in the
front door. If done correctly, you will be able to walk through all objects
in Tanner's house.
When you are being chased by
the police, look closely at them. When they hit something like a fence,
guard rail, box, can, and other moveable objects, they will go straight
through them without disturbing them.
Glitch:
Pass through car: While on a bike, you can drive through the edges of a car while
overtaking.
Glitch:
Stuck on the ground: When you are lying on the ground while on a slope, press your
weapon button (R1). You will pull out your weapon and Tanner will not
get back up. You can cycle through the weapons, but they cannot be fired.
This glitch seems random as to when it happens and there is no known way to
get back up off the ground.
Glitch:
Rearview mirror: In the first intermission sequence, a police car goes by a
building with three men inside playing cards, then drives down a small hill.
You will then see the cop who is driving the car and can see that he is
wearing sunglasses and a hat. However in the rearview mirror, he does not
have the sunglasses or the hat on.
Glitch:
Stuck horn: Sometimes when you shoot someone in a car or off a motorcycle,
you can hear that the horn still continues to blow.
Glitch:
Bulletproof water: You cannot shoot anything below the surface of water.
Glitch:
Boat drop: When you are approaching a place where there is a boat that you
can drive that is parked in open water, the game will sometimes load it in
the air, then it will drop into its place in the water. Try this at Nice at
the pier.
Glitch:
Surfing: Hop onto a movable object and shoot a grenade next to it. When
the grenade explodes, the object you are on will launch upwards, taking you
along with it. Note: You may need to enable the "Invincibility"
and "All weapons" codes.
Glitch:
Police car has no sound: When you are in a police car and do a sliding turn, you will not
hear any screeching sound. When you have a fender hanging off, you will not
hear any scraping across the ground. The only way to hear the car is to slam
it into something, turn the siren on, or get into the car and turn on the
engine.
Glitch:
Police turn off sirens: Enable the "Immunity" code. Take a police car and put
it car next to a cop on foot. The cops will get in the car, turn the siren
off, then get out.
