Bait Mission: Easy completion:
This mission is slightly easier if you have completed the car
list in the warehouse on Shoreside Vale. Get a big, fast car (for example, a
Sentinel), then start the mission. As you return to Shoreside Vale, the
first death squad will start to chase you. Enter the courtyard with the
death squad directly on your tail. Drive flat out through the courtyard and
up the ramp. The death squad will be picked off by the Yakuza gunmen. They
will not follow you over the ramp. You may need to take each death squad
through the courtyard two or three times. You will destroy several cars
using this method. If you have completed the car list, change the motor for
a new one after every other jump, before it explodes. You will have a ready
supply of decent cars in the warehouse.
After you get assigned to the mission, go to the place where you had to
do the Arms Shortage mission. Get in the Barracks OL and go find the death
squads in Shoreside Vale. They will ram into you, but will be unable to push
you around. If you are going to catch fire, enable the "Full
health" until the mission is complete.
Big 'N' Veiny mission: Easy completion:
Go to the Portland Dock where the emergency crane is located.
Enable the "Tank" code. Note: Other autos could also work. Get in
the tank and drive it between the emergency crane and the doors at the left
of the crane . Repeat this step four times until you have at least five
tanks between emergency crane and the doors. Then, walk to the telephone
where you start the mission. Do not steal or drive a car, as this would take
the tanks away. Instead, go there by foot. Walk to the phone both to start
mission, drive up to the third magazine, and the mission will be complete.
The mission is completed because the tanks will have destroyed the van, and
the explosion kills the man and that stops the timer.
Bling-Bling Scramble mission: Easy completion:
Enable the "Tank" code. Get in the tank and pull up to
the starting dot with your tank facing the first checkpoint. When the race
begins, the Cheetah or Infernus (differs from game to game) will swoop at
you in an attempt to knock you off course. If it hits you, it will explode.
If not, then it is an easy shot for the turret. The Patriot is easy to
destroy because it is slow. The Bobcat will probably take more work, because
it drives smarter. Once all three cars are destroyed, finish the race. Try
to destroy the cars within the first five checkpoints.
Accept the mission then activate the "Destroy all cars" to get
rid of the competition. The mission will not fail, and you can collect all
15 checkpoints easily.
Blow Fish mission: Easy completion:
Get the Dustcart from 8-Ball and drive it over to the Triad
secret hideout. On the way, enable the "Full health" code to lower
the damage level to 0.
Bomb Da Base mission:
Before you park your car into the blue space to start the
mission, take a big car (Tank recommended) and ram it into the entrance part
of the ship so 8-Ball cannot get onboard and get himself killed. Go back to
the car and park it on the blue space. He will say "Get a good vantage
point, then I'll head in when you fire the first shot". After he runs
off to get ready, take the sniper rifle aim it with R1. Shoot the
first guard, then the other should run out into the distance to see what
happened. As soon as he is in view, shoot him because 8-Ball will already be
on his way over. Kill the other one so 8-Ball does not get shot. Quickly
enable the "Slow motion" code. If you are facing the ship's
entrance directly head on, then look to your right. Climb up the a staircase
located there. You will have an absolute perfect shot of every thug on the
ship. Use an explosive or quick killing weapon (bazooka preferred). Shoot
them all down. For the ones that you cannot quite see, get on the ship and
finish them off. At this point it will not matter whether 8-Ball gets on the
boat. He will activate the bomb and complete his part of the mission. Get
off the boat and the mission will be completed.
Park a Tank in front of the entrance of the ship before dropping off
8-Ball in the blue mark. Drop him off and go to the tower. Get to the top of
the tower, take out the bazooka and shoot all the guards. 8-Ball cannot get
past the tank if you parked it correctly. Then, move the Tank and let 8-ball
through. If you shot every guard, 8-Ball will get through and put the bomb
on the ship.
Get the rocket launcher ready and fire in the middle of the guards. Then,
press R1 to go to the sniper rifle and then kill the rest. Note: Do
this quickly.
Before you pick up 8-Ball, park one Tank sideways directly next to the
ramp so he will not get on and get killed. Park two other Tanks diagonally
forward on the sides of the ramp. Pick up 8-Ball and park your car in the
blue space. And after he talks, go to where 8-Ball is hiding. Go directly to
your right to see a staircase. Climb up on the stairs and shoot the bottom
two guards, then the top two guards. Next, work your way to the right
quickly and efficiently with the sniper rifle until there are no guards
standing (about 15 seconds to kill all of them if you are slow). Focus in on
8-Ball. Do not shoot him -- just watch his back. If done correctly, an
intermission sequence showing 8-Ball running will appear. After you receive
the, money you will be stuck in one of those tanks.
Enable the "All weapons" code multiple times, then go to the
harbor. Get to a good point of taking the guards out. Use a rocket launcher
and blast every guard on the ship without killing 8-Ball.
Enable the "Armor" and "All weapons" codes. Kill the
guards in the front with your rocket launcher. Kill the guards on top where
they are standing. Run up and kill the other guards with it. If your armor
or heath is getting low, quickly refill them with the codes. When the guards
are gone, 8-Ball will go to the door and just stand there. You will soon see
the boat explode and get $300 at the end.
Bomb Da Base mission: Kill guards easily:
Go to the ware boating dock and drop off 8-Ball in the blue
light. Turn around and head for the entrance. Take the first left, then
another left. There should be a flight of stairs located there. Go up the
stairs and get on the roof, close enough to where you can see the guards.
Hold L1 to aim, and press Square to zoom in. Shoot the first
two guards at the entrance ramp. Note: If you shoot the one at the top of
the screen, the one near the bottom will shoot at you. Shoot the guard that
is shooting at you. Go up to the boat and shoot the rest of the guards,
working from left to right. Move quickly, but not too fast where you will
not have any accuracy.
Use the following trick to kill the guards on the ship easily, and allow
8-Ball to blow it up. Run toward the ship, then turn right after the
building. Keep running all the way until the trails. You can find some drugs
there. Take them, and run back along the building -- it is better to run
with the fist and the X tapped. Climb the stairs on the left (at the
end of the building). Position yourself on the roof facing the ship. Now you
have a lot of time to aim at and kill the guards, until the effect of the
drugs fades away.
Enable the "Full armor" and "All weapons" codes. When
8-Ball tells you to find a good vantage point, instead use R2 to get
to your Uzi and enable the "Tank" code. Get in the Tank and drive
it towards the entrance ramp. Shoot the guards in front of the ramp before
you get to it, then get out directly in front of the ramp. Run up with your
Uzi and use R1 to target all the guards and press Circle to
fire. Do this quickly because they will be shooting at you. Note: Be careful
when using R1 to aim as you may accidentally target 8-Ball.
Enable the "All weapons" code. Take out the rocket launcher, go
straight, and turn right. Next, go up the steps and shoot the guards up top
first, then the ones at the bottom. Then, hurry and run over with 8-Ball and
shoot the guards that you missed.
Enable the "All weapons" code and go to the rooftop across from
the ship. Get the rocket launcher and shoot the bottom of the ramp first,
then the top. Work your way from left to right. When shooting from left to
right, shoot about twice in each section to make sure you have everyone
down.
Bomb Da Base: Extra time:
After getting a good vantage point, shoot the first two guards.
When 8-Ball runs up the ramp, shoot him in the arm or leg. He will be on the
ramp, injured. You can then kill all the other people. Then, just wait for
the paramedics to appear and sort him out.
Bomb Da Base: Act II: Easy Completion:
Jack a car and drive it to the ship before the mission starts.
Then, drive it onto the ship and park it anywhere in the middle or front.
Next, jack another car and place it near the first one. Then, jack a third
car and place it in front of the ramp leading to the ship. You may add more
cars if you feel it is necessary, but three should be enough. Then, drive to
8-Ball's place and start the mission. Let him out of the car and climb up
the ladder to get a good vantage point. Once up there, enable the
"Destroy all cars" code. The cars you placed should all explode
and kill most of the men. Anyone that survived can be picked off with the
sniper rifle.
Before you pick up 8-Ball, enable the "Tank" code to get two
Rhinos. Drive one to the boat and ram it into the ramp evenly half way. Get
the other Rhino and drive it evenly into the other side half way, so that
someone could walk between them, but would have to push. Once you pick up
8-Ball, drop him off and go to your right. Climb up the stairs to the very
top. Use the sniper rifle and shoot one of them, then the other. 8-Ball will
try to walk up the ramp but it will take him awhile. This should give you
enough time to shoot the deck from left to right with the bazooka. 8-Ball
will do the rest.
Before you start the mission, go to the ship you need to destroy in
Atlantic Quays. Enable the "Spawn Rhino tank" code and wedge it
perfectly on its side in front of the incline, so that there is no room for
8-Ball to pass through onto the ship. Leave the tank there and go to
8-Ball's shop. Take him to the harbor and the tank will still be there,
blocking his way onto the boat. After you stop in the blue circle and 8-Ball
gets out, get to the top of the building across from the ship. Enable the
"All weapons" code and snipe the two guards at the bottom of the
incline near the tank. You must do this quickly, as once you shoot the first
guard 8-Ball will try to enter the ship, and the other guard will shoot him.
Then, snipe and or bazooka the guards on the ship. After all of the men are
dead, get down from the building and move the tank. 8- Ball will board the
ship and set off the bombs.
Bullion mission: Drive underwater:
On the Bullion mission in Shoreside Vale at the pay phone, get
the BF Injector, a police car, or any other car with some power. Collect 15
to 20 platinums. Go to the dam (the place on top where you get the two
hidden packages). Get near the place where you are leaving the industrial
area and going to the houses. There is a green patch of grass that will lead
you by the water by the damn. Carefully drive off the grass and into the
water. You will not die because you are weighted down with platinum. You can
now drive underwater. If you fall into the area where there is no ground,
you will land shortly on the damn without dying. If the mission time ends,
you will lose all of your mass and be unable to do this further. Also try
jumping off the grass ledge to the river by where you are supposed to
deliver the platinum. You will sink all the way to the tunnel and be
rewarded with a varying stunt bonus.
Chaperone mission: Get a Cheetah:
Go to meet Chico at the Waterfront. When Maria has picked up her
usual drug packet, take her to the party in Atlantic Keys. Do not drop Maria
off at the party. Instead, park the limo a short distance away. Get out of
the limo and blow it up. This will kill Maria and end the mission -- do not
worry, you can do it again, Go up to the building where the party is located
and there will be three cars parked near the entrance. One of them is a
Cheetah. Drive it to your garage and save the game. You can now drive the
Cheetah around Portland.
Chaperone mission: Extra handgun ammunition:
Once the police arrive at the warehouse party, wait for them all
to get out of their cars. Then, take the limo (it does not matter if Maria
is already in), and run into them. Once they are all dead, pick up their
ammunition to get about 400 rounds.
Cipriani's Chauffer mission: Get stuck in Joey's
garage:
You can get stuck in the garage if you park an ambulance in front
of the door. While inside you, go through everything and you cannot get out.
Cutting The Grass mission: Easy completion:
When you go to wait for the man, steal a taxi. Instead of getting
in the taxi he was supposed to enter, he will get in yours. He will tell you
to go to the Portland docks. Once you get there, an intermission sequence
will begin. Then, just complete the rest of the mission.
Stay in your car and run him over to pass the mission with ease.
Instead of trailing Curly Bob, when you get to the club, destroy his cab.
Then, get a cab of your own and park it in the same spot as the other cab
(or close enough so that is in front of the exit). When he leaves the club,
he will get in. Take him to the dock and watch the intermission sequence.
When it is over, run him over with your car. Note: He has a shotgun so you
need to go slow and not wreck. You can also enable the "Full
health" code once you get there.
Dead Skunk In Da Trunk mission: Dead body in
trunk:
Do the "Dead Skunk In Da Trunk" mission for Joey.
Before you get into the car, enable the "All weapons" code and
blow up the car that chase you. Then, bash the trunk until it opens. Get out
and look at it.
Dead Skunk In Da Trunk mission: Easy completion:
After Joey tells you what to do, go to where the car is located
but do not get in. There should be a Moon-Beam (van) located at the side of
the cafe. Take it and drive it backwards towards the two poles at the front
of the café. Make sure not to hit the Forelli brother car. Park the van
in-between the two poles, so that the back of the car is barely touching the
poles. Next, get out of the car and enable the "All weapons" code.
Get on top of the van and jump on the thing the poles are holding up. Take
out the rocket launcher and shoot the first Forelli brother car. If you are
facing the street, it should be located the left. It is the only car with
its lights on. After that, the second Forelli brother car will come after
you. Shoot at it. The car will not be able to hit you if you stay on top. Do
not shoot it when it is next to the car with the dead body in the trunk.
After that, you should have a safe, uninterrupted ride to the crusher.
Go to the bridge and once near the center, jump off the cliff and stay on
the hill. You will see the car. However, first destroy the car that is
watching it with a rocket launcher. Then, wait for the other car to appear.
Be ready with the rocket launcher, then shoot. You can now continue with the
rest of the mission. Note: The other car might appear from behind you -- be
careful when you are on the hill. Instead of getting caught by the Forreli brothers, just take the Tank and
blow them up. The will not go after you; which makes the mission very easy.
Take the bazooka and blast the Forreli brothers' cars. Note: Once you
blast one car, the other brother will try to kill you.
The Forelli brothers are very stupid and cannot maneuver out of tight
spaces. Lead them into the tunnel (one brother is located at the parking lot
of the café; the other is in front of the tunnel), thereby giving you time
to shoot away at them. Once they are dead you can take the car and drive
with ease. Also, if you damage the back end of the car to where the trunk
pops open, you can see the dead body inside.
The Forelli brothers have two cars and they try to stop you in this
mission. Enable the "All weapons" code. Take out the rocket
launcher before you enter the car and shoot a rocket at the car that has its
headlights on. Another car will pull in the parking lot. Shoot that car with
a rocket . You will now be free to drive to the car crusher.
Decoy mission:
On the Decoy mission given by Donald Love, you will have to take
an armored van and evade police capture. This can seem very difficult when
you have six stars and every police car available is after you. When you
arrive at the location of the van in Shoreside Vale, you will notice that
there are SWAT cars and police cars all around the van area. Simply use a
Rocket Launcher to blow up all police vehicles around the area. Then, use
the "No wanted level" code. Use this until all police cars that
are just sitting there have been destroyed. You still will be tracked by
police helicopters and new policemen, but this will make the mission much
easier.
If you can get away from most of the cop cars and get on to Cochran Dam,
only one cop car and the two helicopters will be on you. Stay up there and
drive in circles to avoid getting hit by the cop.
In the Decoy mission given by Donald Love, destroy all the cops cars
around the area of the van. After the van is out and the cops are chasing
you, go to the airport. When you get there, go to the parking lot on the
side. Then, go through the small space in the wall across from the parking
lot. The cops cannot get you there. Just wait until the mission is complete.
This trick requires a lot of patience. In order to keep the police from
chasing you, do not get inside the Securicar. Instead, push it until you
reach Francis International Airport. Once inside the airport, enable the
"Spawn Rhino tank" code at least twelve times. This will destroy
the cars, including the police cars that will chase you, except for the
Securicar. Then, drive the Securicar and park under one of the hangars (the
nearest one is recommended ). You can now only hear the police chopper. Just
stay under the hangar until the timer ends and the mission will be
completed. Note: Barricade the entrance to the airport with at least three
Rhino tanks.
Don't Spank My Bitch Up mission: Free paint
jobs:
You can Pay N Spray any vehicle for free during this mission for
as many times as desired.
Drive Misty For Me: Misty calls for help:
Pick up Misty and take her to your hideout. Then, get out of the
car and run as fast as you can so that the garage door closes on her,
trapping her inside. She will then call for help by saying "Wait",
"I'm over here", or "Right here". If she makes it out
before the door closes, she says "I made it!".
Drive Misty For Me: Super Misty:
Before dropping Misty off, punch a random person and let him or
her hit you back. Misty will begin punching the person. She will attack with
great strength as if using an adrenaline pill. She can make a pedestrian get
hit so that they go flying.
Escort Service mission: Easy completion:
Get in any car and get near the oriental gentleman in the armored
car. He will begin to drive. Do not follow him. He will get to his
destination safely. If you are having trouble getting the Securicar for the
car boosting in Portland, now is a good time to find one.
When doing the Escort Service mission for Donald Love, make sure you have
a lot of M-16 ammunition. Instead of stealing a car, jump on the back of the
armored car. It will start to move. Keep watching for the Cartel trucks,
then switch to first person mode. Use the M-16 to take out the trucks before
they attack. Remember to watch your footing on the back of the armored car,
especially around corners.
Espresso-2-Go mission: Easy completion:
Do not go to the first stand. Drive around town until all of the
nine stands have shown up on the map -- some are in Shoreside Vale. When you
hit the first stand, the eight minutes will start and you now have that time
to just destroy the stands instead of looking for them while the timer is
running. You should finish the mission with plenty of time remaining.
Drive to Shoreside Vale. Go to 8-Ball's and get a car bomb. Go to one of
the Shoreside stalls and take out the guard. The sniper rifle works best.
Park next to stall, but do not destroy it. Get another car bomb and repeat
the steps with another car and the other Shoreside stall. Do not get in any
more than one car -- the third car you enter will cause the first car bomb
to disappear. Escape the blast radius and set off the bombs. Take out
remaining stalls and you will have as much time as needed to complete the
mission.
First, drive around and find all the stands. A Patriot or heavy car is
recommended. Ram the stands to destroy them. This saves a lot of time rather
then stopping to blow them up.
Park a car just near the coffee stalls, then enable the "Destroy all
cars" code. This will also destroy the stalls. It counts them as your
kills, but the timer will not start counting down. You now have an unlimited
amount time to destroy them all. You can also park a tank near all the
stalls in one island. Stay on the same island, then blow them up. That will
destroy all the stalls there. The tanks do not disappear as easily as
regular cars.
Do not blow up the first stall. Instead, drive around all three islands
and find the two stalls that are closest. Snipe out the dealers and park a
car next to each stall. Make sure the cars are touching the stalls, then use
the "Destroy all cars" code. The kill count message will appear,
but no time will be displayed. Keep using the "Destroy all cars"
code until you have completed the mission. Note: You must blow up two stalls
at the same time at beginning for this trick to work.
The Exchange mission: Defeating the Colombian
Cartel:
To have an easier fight against the Colombian Cartel in the last
mission, you must collect every hidden package. Once you leave the mansion
in Shoreside Vale you can return to your hideout in Wichita Gardens and have
all the ammunition you need. Then, just use rockets on the Cartel Cruiser
barricades and the Barracks OL trucks. Use a strong car for cover and use
the sniper rifle to pick off any Cartel guards. Then, move to the roof.
After all the guards on the ground are gone, move up the stairs -- but not
all the way. Snipe the two guards covering Maria and the one behind the
smoke stack.
Before you start the mission, start from your house in Wichita Gardens,
then turn left onto the street. Turn left again at the intersection on the
corner. Follow the S-curves all the way up to the top. Turn right at the
intersection and go past the Colombian mansion. Turn left at the
intersection to go down the two lane road. Follow this road down about
halfway to about three quarters of the way down. Stop and enable the
"Tank" code. Park the tank on the north side of the street (on the
rocky part, off the road). Then, get back in your car, drive back to the
Colombian mansion the same way that you came. Once you start the mission,
get into one of the Colombian pickup trucks and drive back to your tank the
same way you came. Once you get to your tank, enable the "All
weapons" code. Get into your tank, then drive to the dam. Drive through
the first Colombian barricade and proceed down the path until you reach some
trees. Pick up the gun that is near those trees. Get back into your tank and
drive through the second Colombian barricade. Then back up slightly and
snipe the men on the towers and every other Colombian in view. Get back into
your tank and shoot, run over, or explode everything and everybody coming
after you, until everyone is dead. By that time, if you get out of your
tank, you should hear the helicopter approaching from the south. Take out
your rocket launcher and shoot down the helicopter. Then, take out your
sniper rifle and snipe the two men covering Maria. Then, snipe the man near
the smoke stack to your left. Walk over to Maria to complete the mission.
Remember to work fast, and sometimes rely on your tank to protect you so you
do not kill yourself.
After leaving the Cartel Mansion, enable the "All weapons" code
and drive behind mansion. Get to the opening where the cartel guards are
located. Take out the bazooka and kill those two men. Then, proceed to next
pair of men. Bazooka them, then take out your sniper rifle and snipe
everyone in sight. Next, drive at an angle on the dam's wall (Banshee
recommended). Once on the wall, drive to the big water pipes leading down to
the water. Drive down with the first pipe on your passenger side. You should
be on the building they will use to hold Maria. She will not be there yet.
Once up there, snipe the other guards on the ground. Enable the "All
weapons" code again if needed. Walk down the stairs. About half way
down, an intermission with Maria and guards will begin. Before going down
the stairs, take out the flamethrower. Then, go back up the stairs and open
fire on the guards that are closest, and that run at you. Shoot the guard
next to Maria with your Uzi or sniper rifle. Next, shoot the guard behind
the smokestack with either weapon. Run to edge of building closest to the
water. Take out the bazooka and shoot down Catalina. This can all be done
with time left to spare.
This strategy does not use cheats. You must have full health and armor.
At the start of the mission, you have no weapons and cannot punch unless you
grab the pistol directly in front of you. Run towards the gates and kill the
two guards, taking their Uzis. Still using the pistol, kill the guard behind
you, then grab his Uzi. Move toward the building just close enough so that
you can target the two Cartels and shoot them down. Take their AKs. Run to
the garage to your left then take the armor and Cartel Cruiser. Exit the
gates, but do not follow the chopper. Instead, go uphill to your left, turn
at the first left you see, and continue down this path for awhile until you
reach an intersection. Turn left, take a quick turn to the right, then turn
further right to see a blockade. Ram the Cartel Cruisers and kill the two
sentries. Take their AKs. Get out of the car, continue through the former
blockade and you will see a couple of trees. There is a sniper rifle near
there. Shoot the sentry on the side of the dam with this. If done correctly,
the others should not mind this. Use the AK to kill the sentries with
auto-aim at long-range. Make sure you take their weapons, Again, use the
sniper rifle to shoot the second sentry on the side of the dam. Continue
doing this until Catalina boards the chopper. A flatbed will drive at you.
Use the M-16 and move out of the way. Avoid the chopper and continue down.
Kill the other sentries (use the sniper rifle to take out the men holding
Maria hostage). A bazooka will be somewhere to the left from where you found
Maria. Use this to take the chopper down, but aim well as you only have
three shots.
Farewell Chunky Lee Chong mission: Easy
completion:
Go to China Town, where Chunky Lee Chong is located. Do not
activate the intermission of Chunky Lee Chong counting his money by stepping
past the row of poles. Enable the "All weapons" code, take out the
Bazooka, aim it at the booth that Chunky Lee Chong is at, and the mission
will be done. Note: Speed away quickly so the Triads that were guarding
Chunky Lee Chong do not chase after you. Enable the "All weapons" code and take out the Sniper Rifle.
Get at an angle from the open side of the stand and make sure that you have
a getaway car next to you. Shoot Chunky Lee Chong with the Sniper Rifle and
get into the getaway car. Get out of there before the Triads try to kill
you. Note: You can use the Bazooka and kill two of his Triad guards at the
same time.
Enable the "Better driving skills" code. Go to where the fence
is located. Back up enough to hop the fence using the hydraulics. Run the
Triads and Chunky Lee Chong over to complete the mission.
Gang-Car Round-Up mission: Saving time:
Take the Diablo Stallion, Mafia Sentinal, and Yakuza Stinger and
put them in your garage. Go to the phone and deliver the cars to save time
and miles.
If you wreck a car so badly that you have to get it repaired at the Pay
N' Spray, enable the "Full health" code instead, and you will be
able to turn it in.
The Getaway mission: Pantyhose on head:
When the Mafia men get in the car, change to the first person
view in the car. Press R2 to see one of the mafia men in the
passenger seat is wearing some pantyhose on his head. Press L2 + R2
to look in the back, where the other two mafia men are wearing pantyhose as
well.
The Getaway mission: Easy completion:
When the robbers get in the car, the alarm will go off inside the
bank. The cops will then be on you. After all the robbers get in your car,
enable the "No wanted level" code to prevent this.
After you escape the Cartel Mansion, enable the "Tank" code
then follow the dot on the radar the Cochrane Dam. Before you approach the
Cartel roadblock, enable the "All Weapons" code. After you
activate the code, shove through the two Cartel Cruisers. About 150 feet
ahead is another roadblock of two Cartel Cruisers. This time, shoot them
with the cannon on the tank. If done correctly, the two cruisers and the two
Columbian Cartel men should be dead. You should have also killed a Cartel
hidden in a corner to the right. Next, you will see a Barracks OL and a
Cartel Cruiser with a Columbian Cartel in front of you. When you get close
enough, shoot the Barracks OL at the correct moment and it will knock off
one more Cartel Cruiser, Columbian Cartel, and Barracks OL off the to-do
list of completing your game. If you miss, just plow through the vehicles.
However, this is not enough to kill a man on a ledge to the left. You will
have to deal with him on your own. After you get past the ledge with the
Cartel on it, an intermission sequence will begin, showing Maria being held
hostage on the helipad by two Cartel on both sides and one sniping from a
corner on the left. After the intermission sequence, you will see another
Barracks OL and another Cartel to the left. You have two options. The first
is that you can take the Tank, run over him, and risk your life by getting
the Tank blown up and wasting time. The second is to enable the
"Armor" code and shoot him when you exit the tank. After you
dispatch him by either method, quickly select your rocket launcher and wait
for Catalina and her helicopter to appear. Carefully aim and pull the
trigger. After she goes down, select the sniper rifle (recommended) or the
M-16 and shoot the two Cartel by Maria. Then, shoot the Cartel to the left.
In the bank heist mission, you have three options: practice getting from
the bank to the Pay 'N' Spray, enable the "No wanted level" code,
or get tokens to decrease your wanted level. If you want a challenge, go for
the Pay 'N' Spray or the tokens. Make sure when you get to the blue mission
circle in front of the bank, that you park in it facing the square of road
with a building in the middle. You should also be facing an alley. Once the
bank heist is completed, you have to get rid of all of your wanted level
stars. In the alley is a token to lowering your wanted level to two stars,
thus getting the helicopter off of your back. Down by the waterfront near
your hideout is what appears to be a ramp that goes above something. Go to
the far edge of the grass and take the ramp to get a second token. From
there, hide out in a secluded place (such as the harbor) or just drive
around until your wanted level is clear. The other option is to be once
again facing the alley and deli building when starting the bank heist. Use
it go through it and high-tail it to the Pay 'N' Spray using your practiced
route. From there, go to the blue mission circle to finish the job.
Gone Fishing mission:
Enable the "Faster game play" code. When you get close
to the man, an intermission sequence will start and he will throw a grenade.
However, because the code is active, the grenade will explode on his boat or
in the water.
Gone Fishing mission: Get Ghost Missing boat:
Shoot the blue boat until the damage indicator is full, then
leave it to run around. It will make its way to shore where it will beach
itself and the man will get out and run. Run yourself onto the shore,
hopefully killing the man and completing the mission. If not, get out and
shoot him. Then, walk over to his blue boat and start bumping into it to
push it back in the water. Once its on the water, jump into it (will be a
bit damaged) and sail off. You will notice the boats graphics are not fully
finished and it is called "GHOST missing".
You can get the boat GHOST missing after you kill Ray's partner. He
leaves his boat on the sand in Portland beach after you chase him.
Grand Theft Auto mission: Free Stinger, Cheetah,
and Infernus:
In Staunton Island there is a mission named Grand Theft Auto that
is given by Kenji. In the mission, you have to bring a Stinger, Cheetah, and
an Infernus to Kenji's friend's garage. Instead, bring them to your hideout.
When the time runs out they are all yours.
I Scream, You Scream mission: Get Ice Cream
Truck:
To get the Ice Cream Truck without failing the mission, get the
briefcase then get the Ice Cream Truck. Go to Atlantic Quays. Turn on the
siren and leave the truck. Pull out the sniper rifle and kill the four men.
The truck is now free for the taking. Park it in the Import/Export Garage.
Killing Kenji mission:
After talking with Donald Love, steal a Colombian Cartel cruiser.
Go to the parking garage where Kenji is holding his meeting. Enable the
"All weapons" code. Drive the cruiser to the level in the garage
directly underneath where Kenji is located. Use the Bazooka and shoot at the
ceiling of the level you are on many times until everything above is
destroyed. You will need enable the "No wanted level" code often
while shooting the ceiling. Get back in the cruiser and the message
"Kenji is fender meat" will appear. Enable the "No wanted
level" code, drive the cruiser out, and get rid of it.
Steal a Cartel Cruiser and make your way to the building in the alley
behind where you can fix your car, or rig it with a bomb. Go into the bomb
rigging garage and rig it. Then, make your way up the parking lot building.
Just before you reach the top, the "Kenji is fender meat" message
will appear. You can now ditch the vehicle.
Get a Cartel Cruiser at Fort Staunton. Go around in circles killing
person by person, and enable the "Full health" code to fix your
car. Shoot the people with the big guns. You cannot exit your Cartel
Cruiser, so use an Uzi.
Kingdom Come mission:
After you get in the "stash car", enable the
"Destroy all cars" code three times. As the FMV sequence is
playing, this will blow up all the vans. Then, get out the car and run
towards the entrance you came in from. Do not leave; just stand there and
wait for the madmen to come towards you with their Uzis drawn. Wait until
you see the madman in sight then hold R1 and spray them. Follow this
sequence until they are all dead.
Get a rocket launcher with a lot of ammunition. When you get to the SPANK
car, equip yourself with the rocket-launcher before getting in. Immediately
after the intermission sequence, get out of the car and destroy the van
blocking the alleyway. Jump back in and make your way through the alley.
Park the SPANK car in a safe place nearby. Stand in the alleyway, blasting
any enemies that charge at you. While you wait, blow-up the remaining vans,
which is a required objective.
Liberator mission:
When doing the Liberator mission for Donald Love (saving the
older oriental gentlemen), before entering the Cartel's gate, throw a
grenade. This will decrease the number of Cartels you have to kill.
Before starting the mission, get a Cartel Cruiser. Go to Donald Love. He
will ask you to "jack a Cartel gang car". Get in yours and the
game will instruct you to go to the Cartel hideout. Enable the "All
weapons" code and go in front of the hideout. Get out and take out your
sniper rifle. Zoom in and shoot the people you see inside. Get back in your
Cartel Cruiser and drive it in front of the gate. Get out and your sniper
rifle should already be out. Zoom in and shoot the other people you see. Run
forward, then zoom in on your sniper rifle and shoot the rest of the people.
They will not see you. Go to the garage next to the Cartel Cruiser that you
can see. Before you open the gate, take your Uzi out. Open the gate and
press R1. The cartel member there should be targeted. Shoot him and
go to the door with the old man. Get in your Cartel Cruiser and take him
back to Donald Love's place.
After Donald Love has instructed you to save the oriental man, steal the
Cartel's car as instructed. Then, drive your way to the gate that leads to
the area where the oriental man would be found. Before you go near the gate,
get out of the Cartel's vehicle and enable the "Tank" code. Make
sure the tank is near to the gate. Then, get back into the Cartel vehicle
and drive it towards the gate. When the gate opens, drive the car half in
and half out of the gate then get out. Get into the tank and drive it
through the gate. Do not worry about blowing up the Cartel's vehicle in the
process. This will allow you to drive the tank around inside, where the
Cartel will be shooting. Since you have a tank their bullets will do no
damage. Simply run them all over. Do what needs to be done to trigger the
other garage doors to open so you can get the oriental man, but be sure you
do run him over when trying to mow down the Cartel that are also inside the
garage with him. After you have the oriental man, drive back at your own
pace.
If you cannot kill the Cartels without them killing you first, use the
"Change costume" code until you find a man with a green trench
coat and grayish-black hair. When you have this character, the gangs will
not shoot at you. You can snipe the guards through the fence to make it
easier. Then, take the Cartel Cruiser in the hideout and use your rocket
launcher to blow up any other Cartels. Shoot your rocket launcher at all the
closed garages to kill the Cartels inside. The old oriental man is inside
one of the garages -- be careful as to how close you shoot the rocket
launcher.
Love's Disappearance mission: Yakuza in Fort
Staunton:
Once completing Love's Disappearance, go to Fort Staunton to find
Yakuza members fighting the Cartel.
Marked Man mission:
When you have to drive Ray from the park to the airport, you will
be told to find another route because the bridge is being covered by cops.
Get the bulletproof Cheetah and drive to the airport through the bridge from
Staunton Island to Shoreside. You will encounter heavy fire from several
cops with AR-15s, but the Cheetah is bulletproof. The Cheetah is fast, so
you will finish the mission in a short amount of time. After driving him to
the airport, you will get his keys to the garage that contains a bulletproof
Hummer with guns and money.
Enable the "Tank" code and drive Ray to the Airport in
Shoreside Vale. It may seem slower, but the CIA cannot go through the armor
on the bridge.
To complete the Marked Man mission, you do not have to cross the bridge.
Get a decent fast car, such as a Cheetah or Sentinel, and go to the subway
station near the construction site in Staunton Island. Go inside the station
with the car, get to the subway rails, and turn right. You will appear in
front of the airport with seconds to spare. Be careful of the oncoming
trains.
Get a car (not a truck) with reasonable turning, handling, and speed, and
drive through the subway. Watch out for the trains and avoid all the
hazards. Note: This is easiest if you go in the subway near Donald's house.
Get a bullet-proof Cheetah and start the mission. Instead of going
through the tunnel, go to the bridge. The CIA will shoot at you, but your
car will not blow up. Complete the mission and you get some good weapons and
a bullet-proof Patriot.
Go straight on the road opposite the bridge on/off ramp. Drive until the
road ends. Take a left turn then take a right on the next road and go
straight. You should pass the Liberty City coliseum. Go to the end of that
road and take a right. Keep going until you see a tunnel on the right. Go
down the tunnel and take a left when it forks. You should exit at the
airport. While in the tunnel watch out for cars. It is very easy to hit
them, which will make you lose time.
Multistory Mayhem mission:
Go to the parking lot next to your hideout on Staunton Island.
When you get there, go to the entrance and wait for a Stallion to drive by.
Steal it and the mission will be triggered. They are twenty checkpoints,
four on each level. The last one will be for you to make the jump that lets
you get an unique stunt bonus.
Paparazzi Purge mission:
One mission that you have to do for Akusa is Paparazzi Purge.
When she tells you to destroy the boat, you do not have to set foot in it.
Enable the "Destroy all cars" code to pass it easily.
Payday for Ray mission:
To complete this mission easily, enable the "Tank" code
about a dozen times. This will remove all the cars. Also, do not take an
all-around fast car because they do not turn well. The Bobcat is
recommended.
The Pick Up mission:
Before you pick up the briefcase, get two cars that you can jump
on top of and park them so that two entrances are blocked. Then, pick up the
briefcase. Kill the two Triad members that rush at you, then jump on top of
one of the cars and shoot two more Triads members. Be careful, as one might
have a gun. Next, at the entrance where the Triads parked the fish truck,
kill the one Triad member then get into the truck and run over the second
one to complete the mission.
You can complete this mission with only one car, rather than using
multiple vehicles to block the entrances. Use a car that will be easy for
you to jump onto and park it directly next to the briefcase. When you pick
up the briefcase and the Triads start coming towards you, jump onto the car
and stand on the roof. Because you are above their heads, the Triads will
have a harder time aiming at you. This trick can be used at other times
during the game, You will have much more time in which to kill all of them.
Plaster Blaster mission:
This mission can be difficult if you cannot ram the ambulance
fast enough before you get destroyed by cops or gangs. It could also be very
annoying when the plaster man falls out right in the middle of gang
territory and they shoot you until you die. Take a heavy-hitting car such as
a Fire Truck or a Barracks OL and hit the ambulance at top speed. With some
luck, you will fill the damage meter with one hit. Then, just finish the
mission with ease by blasting the plastered man with your bazooka.
An easier way of completing this mission is to send the emergency truck
into the water near a bridge. When the emergency truck spots you, it will
soon get near the bridge that is under the bridge that takes you to
Shoreside Vale. Get a big truck such as a Cartel Cruiser or Moonbeam and ram
the emergency truck once it get nears the side of the bridge. If done
correctly, the emergency truck with the man inside should go tumbling into
the water. A message stating that the man drowned will appear and you will
complete the mission.
Get a strong car and find the ambulance. Hit it very hard until the man
comes out. Park your car over him and blow up the car. Do this three or four
times until you complete the mission. Note: Enable the "Lower wanted
level" code in between.
When doing the mission, do not crash your vehicle into the ambulance.
Instead, get a vehicle and put yourself next to the ambulance. Use an
"Uzi drive-by" to shoot the ambulance with the Uzi from your car.
When you do this, the ambulance will dump the witness' body. Get off your
car and use bombs, a bazooka, or the explosions of cars to kill him. Try to
use the Uzi drive-by outside of Fort Staunton to avoid the annoying Cartel.
Pump Action Pimp mission:
Go to Ammu-nation to get the weapons, then enable the
"Destroy all cars" code.
Enable the "All weapons" code and follow the Diablo car to a
straight stretch or clearing. Then, use a rocket launcher and blow it up,
Enable the "Tank" code and ram into the Diablo. The Diablo
usually drives by your hideout.
Instead of going down to his car and having him run, enable the "All
weapons" code and snipe him from a safe distance. Then, take his car
and finish the mission.
Drive and park your car in the middle of the right side of the street in
front of the Ammu-Nation store. Do the mission and when he drives by
Ammu-Nation, he will be blocked by the vehicle. Then, enable the "All
weapons" code and blast his car with the rocket launcher.
Purge The Paparazi mission:
Rather than chasing down the boat, simply walk over to the wall
next to A's apartment. When you have a clear view of the photographer's
boat, select the "bazooka" weapon and pump three shots into the
boat. If done correctly, this will result in instant victory without getting
your feet wet.
Enable the "All weapons" code and quickly use the rocket
launcher to fire two shots at him.
After hearing the briefing from the letter in Asuka's Condo, go out and
enable the "Destroy all cars" code.
Find a good location near Asuka's house, then shoot the Paparazzi's
speedboat with the rocket launcher. It will start to move around the place
for a while before it leaves to Portland. Try to anticipate his moves, then
shoot again with your rocket launcher just front of him.
Get a pistol or an Uzi. When you begin the mission, do not get in the
Predator (police boat). Instead, get into the Speeder. Then, chase the man
around Portland. Try to stay very close behind him without hitting him. You
will both go all the way around Portland and eventually end back up at the
docks. The man will get out of his boat and make a run for his car. Leave
the boat and gun him down with your pistol or Uzi.
Ransom mission: Cartel with AK-47s:
After completing the Ransom mission, the Cartel have access to
AK-47s and Uzis on the streets. This is the same in Fort Staunton. Yakuza
member there will have increased.
Salvatore Has Called A Meeting mission: Easy
completion:
After you pick up Luigi and Joey and are picking up Tony, turn
into his parking lot and get into the back of the lot. Make sure that you
have already enabled "All weapons" code. The Triads will setup a
roadblock with their trucks at the entrance to the lot. Get out of the limo
and switch to your missile launcher. Shoot a missile at the trucks. This
should destroy them. Finish off the rest of the Triads with your M-16. Then,
get out of the lot and go left up the big hill. When you get to the top, get
out of the limo and switch to your missile launcher. There should be Triad
truck blocking the path you take to Salvatore's. Shoot them with a missile.
Then, drive into that opening and you should have a easy ride to
Salvatore's.
Enable the "Better driving skills" code. When you get to the
Triad roadblock, press L3 and jump over them.
Get Joey, Toni, and Luigi before you pick up Tony. Enable the
"Better driving skills" code, then pick him up. The Triads will
follow you. Drive as fast as possible, and when you reach the cars blocking
the entrance, press R3 to get over them with ease.
S.A.M. mission: Easy completion:
A better way to take out the plane at the airport would be to
take a fast car directly to the airport as the level starts. Use the bridge
to get to Shoreside Vale instead of the boat. Try to get to the bridge as
fast as possible. When you get off the bridge at Shoreside Vale, turn left
into the airport and take a right turn to head for the planes. Keep going
until you see the fire truck to the left of you. Pick up the fire truck and
park it on the runway before the plane lands. Ignore the time as the plane
lands after the clock ticks away. You will see the plane crash straight into
the fire truck without you having to bazooka it. Pick up the cargo and
enable the "No wanted level" code.
The S.A.M. mission is easily completed by using the boat, but then going
onto the shore by ramming the boat near the edge. Then, take out the Cartel,
dive to the second group of Cartel, kill them, wait until the plane passes
by and shoot your rocket launcher at it.
Sayonara Salvatore mission: Easy completion:
Instead of ambushing Salvatore's car, go to Luigu's early. Go to
the back door. When time is up, Salvatore's bodyguards will appear. Mow them
all down with your machine gun and finally get Salvatore.
Get a Blista (recommended), Moonbeam, or Rumpo. If you do not have a
sniper rifle in your inventory, enable the "All weapons" code.
When you go to Luigi's, park your car by the Sex Kitten. The way you should
go is supposed start at Ammu-Nation, but instead go the way when you see the
underground subway. Next head for Luigi's. On the left side of the road is a
black building with a red overhead and a orange vertical sign that says
"Sex Kitten" or something similar. Park on the left side of the
road where you can see the alley where Sal appears from. Make sure you have
a good vantage point, because a Mafia man may get in your way. Jump on top
of the van and aim at the alley where he appears from. When you cap him, the
Mafia will not now who did it and you will not have to work so hard.
Killing Salvatore is very easy if you use the sniper rifle. Go into the
area where the rear entrance to the club is located. Go up the far stairs to
the roof and walk around until you get a good view of the door. Let all the
goons exit, but do not shoot them. When Salvatore appears, it will just take
one shot and one kill to end the mission.
Before you begin the mission at Asuka's place, go to the AmmuNation in
Staunton Island and buy a sniper rifle. Activate the mission, go to Portland
and drive a car into the doorway of the "Sex Kitten Club" to the
left of Luigi's bar. Jump on the car and sniper in on the alley way where
Salvatore appears. The Mafia will not see you and you can shoot Salvatore in
the chest when he walks out.
It is possible to use other tactics, rather than ram his car. Basically,
if you have a sound knowledge of Portland, drive to Salvatore's mansion,
park two cars parallel to the entrance (preferably a Patriot and Blista),
and wait until he arrives. Providing you have grenades, he should crash into
the cars. Throw the grenades and the explosion should create a chain
reaction and destroy the other cars.
Do not go to Luigi's. Instead, go directly to his mansion and get one or
two tanks and park them in the driveway. When Salvatore appears, just blow
him away.
Before you start this mission, get some Hand Grenades and Molotov
Cocktails. If you are having a hard time getting them, get 30 hidden
passages for Hand Grenades and 60 hidden passages for Molotov Cocktails to
unlock them at your hideout. It may also help to get full armor to keep safe
if you get attacked. To get more time, do not start the mission until the
very start of an hour to get 3.5 hours of time. If you get the mission
towards the end of a hour, you may only get 2.5 hours to get to the club. If
you get a fast car and know your way around good, you can get to Portland
faster than using a boat. You should have a lot of time (ate least an hour)
remaining once you get there. Once the men appear, start throwing weapons at
them, but do not get too close to where you are taking a lot of damage or
too far away where your weapons cannot hit them. There should be cars
pulling up to the club. If you keep throwing weapons at them, you should
kill all the men and blow up all the cars, taking very little to no damage.
Salvatore should run into the fire from the Molotov Cocktails and die.
Enable the "All weapons" code and go to Salvatore's house (the
place where you went for his missions). Wait in the grass where you have a
clear shot at the entrance, with a rocket launcher. Fire just as he passes
through the entrance.
When the mission is assigned to you, drive directly to the Mafia
headquarters. Wait behind the wall of the entrance and enabled the "All
weapons" code. Blow up his car with the rocket launcher, and make sure
you are far enough away so that the blast does not affect you.
Steal a car (Landstalker recommended). When you get to Luigi's club, park
the car one block away from it. When Salvatore is about to leave the club,
jump on top of the car. The Mafia will never even see you. When Salvatore
walks outside, use a sniper rifle to kill him, ending the mission without
doing any harm to yourself.
After you get your mission, go down to the docks and get in the speed
boat. Go around Staunton Island to the right and after awhile you will see a
beach. Drive the boat directly up the beach and get out. A rock road will be
there. Go all the way down the road and go to the gates. Take out your
rocket launcher. Wait for Salvador to arrive home, then fire away. Hurry
away -- all the Mafia men will shoot at you.
When the clock starts ticking, get to Luigi's hideout quickly. Park a
short distance down the street, then run up to the Pay 'N' Spray. Get a good
view of the street and the alleyway entrance and wait for the cars to pull
up. When Salvatore exits, wait until almost all the Mafia men are in the
cars. Enable the "Destroy all cars" code. The cars will blow up,
killing Salvatore and his henchmen.
Once you have received your mission, go down to the dock just below where
you got the mission. Take a speed boat (it is sleek and pointy) and pull out
of the docks. With the rear of your boat facing the dock (or land), go
diagonally to your right. You should eventually reach the dock that you used
to get to Staunton Island. You may want to practice docking before the
mission, as you have somewhat of a time limit. Note: If you are close to a
dock in a boat, but not completely there, you can jump and/or get out of the
boat and get to the dock and lose only five or so health points. Quickly
dock, go up the stairs, and race out to the street. Before starting the
mission, it is possible to place a tank at the bend to dam up traffic.
Unlike other vehicles, tanks do not disappear most of the time.
Nevertheless, quickly jack a car and race to an area near Luigi's that is
close enough for the game to accept your presence and start an intermission
sequence. If the sequences shows Salvatore and some other people walking out
from what appears to be the rear of Luigi's, then you have made it here on
time. Avoid going to the front or anywhere near Luigi's for the rest of the
mission, as Salvatore's men can easily blow up your car. Race at top speed
to Salvatore's house and wait in front of the part of the steps with the
poles. You should not see the message "You have been spotted by the
Mafia". If desired, enable the "All weapons" code before
starting the mission. Make sure that you are well stocked on ammunition, and
arm yourself with the bazooka. Go into targeting mode and wait for the black
Mafia Sentinel cars to appear. One well aimed shot is all that is needed to
blow up each car. There are about two or three cars. Blow them all up and
Salvatore will be dead, completing the mission.
Enable the "Rhino tank" code and drive to the Meeeouch Sex
Kitten Club. Make sure that you are at a location where they cannot see you.
When Salvatore leaves, either shoot his cars or ram him. For easy completion, buy a sniper rifle from Ammunation before the
mission. After starting, drive down to the Pay N Spray near Luigi's. When
the Mafia men exit, make sure you would be able to shoot them in the head
with the sniper rifle, but do not get too close to them. Aim at the alley's
entrance. When Salvatore appears, it will be fairly easy to shoot his head.
You will also be far enough away that the Mafia will not see you. Instead of shooting Salvatore as he exits the club, go directly to the
entrance of his house and park a heavy car at the entrance. Enable the
appropriate weapons code and take out the bazooka. Wait for the three
Sentinels to arrive, and destroy them up as show up. Then, run away like
your life depends on it, as the Mafia will shoot you.
Shima mission:
Collect the first two briefcases then enable the "Tank"
code. Next, drive to Portland and go to the green dot. Drive into the
parking lot and run over the Diablos with the Tank. Get the briefcase and
take it back to Kenji at his casino.
Silence the Sneak mission:
When you find the apartment and the window is zoomed in, look on
the same wall for a garage door. Find a vehicle (the bigger, the better) and
block the garage with it. Next, throw the grenade into the window. When the
sneak tries to escape, the vehicle will be in his way. Quickly throw a
grenade at the car placed in front of the garage. Both cars and anyone
inside should explode. Throw extra grenades into the garage if needed. You
have now completed the mission with no chasing.
Instead of just throwing a grenade through the window, enable the
"Tank" code and drive it to where the front is facing the garage
door that the sneak exits from with his car. Put the tank about a foot away
from it. When the sneak appears, he will hit the tank and his car will
explode.
Before you throw the grenade through the window, park a fire truck in the
car park alleyway. After the "Take out McAffrey!" message, use an
Uzi to take out the two guards shooting at you. Meanwhile, the car will be
trying to get through the alleyway. Throw a grenade, and blast the car away.
Instead of wasting your time getting a car to block the sneak, just park
your car anywhere that it will not get blown up. One recommended location is
on the other side of the ramp. Then, go about halfway up the ramp. After the
close up of the window, take out your grenade launcher and shoot through the
window. When the car leaves the garage, quickly shoot it with the grenade
launcher before it gets too far away. If you are lucky, you will also get
the police. If the sneak happens to escape from his car and run back in the
garage, shoot directly at the garage door a few more times, just to make
sure you get him.
Speedboat mission: Easy completion
Before you go to see Donald Love (the mission after saving the
older oriental gentleman), pick up a 2 1/2 ton truck in the weapons yard at
the northern most part of Staunton Island. Go to see Love, then after the
mission begins, head for Asuka's. Back the truck slowly into the opening for
the docks and leave it there. Go down the stairs and get in the speedboat.
Pick up the packages -- when you have them all, your wanted level will be at
5. Return to the dock outside Asuka's. You can land the boat onto the dock.
Run up, get in the truck, and head back up the road. Take the alley on the
hill. This is where the Pay 'N Spray is located. Park the truck so it will
block traffic from behind you -- you cannot paint it. The black cars are
loaded with four FBI agents with assault rifles. You can now do one of two
things. Either get in the mini van and get in the Pay 'N Spray; but if for
some reason you cannot, then run up to the Pay N' Spray and hide in the
garage bay. In a few seconds, the only thing around will be the helicopter.
Once you get near the road again, the FBI comes out in force. Get one or two
cars to follow you into the alley area, then run back up towards the Pay 'N
Spray and get out your assault rifle. If done correctly, you should have at
least one FBI car near the ramp. Take out the agents and be careful not to
shoot the car too much. Steal the FBI car and take it to the Pay 'N Spray.
They will paint it since it is unmarked. From here, you can park the car in
your garage. You may want to keep it since it is one of the hardest cars to
get. Steal a car and take the packages back to Love. Note: You must go in
the Pay 'N Spray to get rid of your wanted level.
At Staunton Island for Asuka (Speedboat mission) instead of taking the
police boat, go to the end of the dock closest to Asuka's and steel a
speedboat. Chase him around Portland and he will pull into the dock in
Staunton Island. Shoot him when he gets out of his boat.
Taking Out The Laundry mission: Easy completion:
Steal the laundry vans and wreck them yourself. It is a lot
easier than using the grenades.
The Thieves mission: Locked car:
Begin The Thieves mission from Marty. After dropping off the
thieves, re-spray the car then knock off the driver's side door. Take the
car to Marty's with the door off, then get out. The mission passed mission
will appear. Then, use the door that is busted off to get in the car. Take
the car to Pay N Spay. Fix it, and your doors are now locked. The police,
prostitutes, and gangs cannot get in your car. You can just sit there and
watch.
Toyz mission: See what is in safe house:
Drive your remote controlled car to the safe house. Drive it into
the house. You will see everything that is inside.
Toyz mission: Easy kills:
Pull in between two of the cars you are going to destroy and blow
both of them up to get a double kill.
Toyz mission: Keep playing:
If you like driving and destroying things with the RC cars,
instead of driving away with the "Toys" van when the mission is
complete, get out and get back into the van again.
Toyz mission: Return to Toyz truck:
Do the Toyz mission outside of Tony's Resturant. Get in and drive
the toy car to the car crusher. The magnet will pick up the car and crush
it. However, when you get inside the crusher, the screen will glitch and
take you back to the Toyz truck.
Triads And Tribulations mission: Easy
completion:
In the Triads and Tribulations mission for Toni, you have to kill
three men working for the Triads. Kill the man on the street by doing a
drive-by. Next, get out of your car and kill the man in China Town. You
should be set up to approach the last man from behind. Make sure you kill
this man last. Do not actually pull into the Triad headquarters to kill him.
Instead, pull off into the park and you will see a hill in the grass. Get on
top this hill to look over the fence surrounding their headquarters. Enable
the "All weapons" code and use the sniper rifle to kill the last
man. When you are done, the gangsters that are riding along with you will
start walking towards the fence. Follow them there after a few seconds they
will bend over and stick there heads through the fence. This is an easy way
to beat the mission with a humorous ending.
Trial By Fire: Easy completion:
When doing the Diablos mission for El Burro where you must torch
25 Triads, use a tank instead the given weapon.
Turismo mission: Easy completion:
When doing the first Diablo mission, "Turismo", go to
the starting grid. Start the race and once it begins, jump out of your car.
Run into the bushes to the right. When you get there, enable the
"Destroy all cars" code. The other racers will explode and put you
in first place. Then, just complete all the check points to complete the
mission.
You can win the Turismo mission by stealing the other racer's cars.
Enable the "Tank" code and destroy all the cars at the start of
the race. Once they are gone, hop in a fast car and get all the checkpoints
and all the money.
Enable the "Tank" code a few times, use them to create a
roadblock on the left turn, then start the race. When the other racers try
to go past the roadblock, their cars will explode.
Just flip over all the cars after you talk to El Burro and before you
actually start the race. The easiest way to flip the cars is with an
ambulance.
Enable the "Tank" cheat in four times. Put them all where the
Callahan Bridge is located. Put the tanks directly under the light in side
by side. Get the first check point, then hit reverse until you are by
Joey's. When there, turn right. After that you should find rest of the
checkpoints without worrying about the Cheetahs catching up. You will have
as much time as desired.
Enable the "Tank" cheat. Start the race and drive forward into
the opposition. At least one car will spin on the first corner. Note: When
you drive into another vehicle with a tank, the other vehicle blows up. Blow
up as many cars as you can on the first corner. After which, any remaining
cars will get away from you because they are much faster when you are in the
tank. Go back to Chinatown and wait at the subway. At some point, the
remaining race cars will drive towards you, as this is part of the circuit.
Drive into them as they are coming and they will blow up -- leaving just you
in the race. Then, complete the circuit and win. It is advisable to do the
race in a tank, as the Triads and Mafia will shoot at you. If you are in a
normal car, you will sustain many shots and they might blow it up. The
advantage of a tank is that the guns used by the Triads and Mafia will not
blow it up; and, although being slow it will protect you as you complete the
circuit for an easy win.
Turismo mission: Head start:
On the Turismo mission that you receive from El Burro in the
phone call, use the following trick to get a head start on all the Cheetahs.
Instead of going through the Blue Marker and waiting for the countdown, get
good enough speed and go straight through them. This will start the race and
give you a head start. This will only work if you do not go through them
cleanly -- you have to touch at least one.
Two Faced Tanner mission: Killing Tanner
Take the Yakuza Stinger from Asuka, and find 8-Ball's auto shop
on your map. Take the Stinger to 8-Ball's and rig it. Next, drive to Kenji's
casino and pull in front of Tanner's car (the stationary Esperato). Press Circle,
quickly get out of the Stinger and speed run to the blue circle. If timed
correctly, Tanner will run out, pull open his door, and attempt to enter.
Two Faced Tanner: Easy completion:
Enable the "Tank" code during the mission. Get in it,
turn the turret backwards and drive onto the blue circle. An intermission
sequence will begin. Drive after him, pressing Circle to give you
speed. Rear end his car and he will explode.
Before starting the mission, enable the "All weapons" code many
times until you have a lot of ammunition for the gun that you can use in the
car. When the man goes in the car, press R2 or L2 button
(whichever side he is on) and shoot at him. You will get four stars on the
wanted meter. Enable the "Lower wanted level" code so you have
none. Repeat this until he gets out of the car and begins to run. Catch up
to him at full speed and run over him. The mission is now complete.
When you start the mission, go to the casino. Before you step or drive
into the blue circle, enable the "Tank" code about five times.
Park them all around the entrance to the casino to block off the car's exit.
When the man appears, he will not be able to get by the tanks. Jump on one
of them and blow up his car with the grenade launcher.
To speed up the process, take the Yakuza Stinger to the casino, but do
not park in the blue marker. Then, enable the "Tank" code and park
it on the blue circle. When Tanner comes out, wait in front of the casino.
After he leaves, he will make a U-turn, going back to the casino to turn.
Ram him as he arrives. If the police are giving you trouble, enable the
"No wanted level" code. Under Surveillance mission:
Stand at the top of the stairs leading to the docks. Take out the
rocket launcher and carefully aim at the boat. Press X, it will take
a few seconds to reload, then press X again to finish the job.
Uzi Money mission:
In this mission, you have to ice the Purple Nines from a car with
an Uzi. You may also shoot the Nines with a Rhino. Use a tank to protect you
from their bullets and their ramming cars. You can shoot them with your
cannon and also with the Uzi that D Ice gives you.
Uzi Rider mission:
Drive up the car and run them over (10 in all). Do not shoot, or
the Diablos will chase you, pull you out of the car, and the mission will
fail.
Van Heist mission:
It may be difficult to get the damage meter all the way filled
with any car. The easiest way is to find a Coach. Use the Coach, and not the
Bus, to hit the money truck. A small hit will come close to doing the trick.
Waka-Gashira Wipeout mission:
Get the car in Fort Staunton and go to the car park. Then, go and
run over Kenji. Before you do this, you car may catch on fire. Enable the
"Health" code to extinguish the fire, then destroy it. Note: Go to
one of the sides and then you will see a hump. Whack Kenji so you can
destroy the car easily and you may get a $50,000 bonus for the stunt.
Vehicle crane missions:
This mission will be tedious, but well worth it in the end.
Eventually the game instructs you to use the crane to grab emergency
vehicles for some money. The vehicles you will need are as follows: Police
Car, Enforcer, Fire Truck, Ambulance, Rhino, FBI car, and a Barracks OL.
Each time you get a vehicle, take it to the Portland docks and park it under
the crane's magnet. You will receive $1,500 for each one you take there; if
you get all seven, you will get $200,000 and pick-ups for each. Also, you
can return to the crane anytime and use those vehicles for your own use.
Note: The Police Car and the Enforcer are the easiest to get, the others
require some time and patience.
Skip Kenji's missions:
Do not do any of his missions when available. Instead, do
everyone else's missions. Eventually you will get to Donald Love and he will
have you assassinate Kenji.
Easier passenger missions:
For missions involving picking up passengers, such as the taxi or
paramedic missions, you can save seconds off each run by getting passengers
into your vehicle faster. Do this by using a melee weapon, such as a
baseball bat, to hit the doors until they fall off. Do not hit the door too
many times to prevent damage to the vehicle itself. Also, do not knock off
the driver side door, as this will provide you with protection from the
police that want to bust you.
Vehicles
Banshee:
In the Portland area, go to the Capital Autos shop. Take a big
car and ram it into the glass on the store to break it. Inside a Banshee,
which is the fastest car in the game and resembles a Shelby.
Note: If the Banshee is not in the location where it is usually found,
circle around the block once or twice and it will appear.
Blista:
The easiest place to get a Blista is at the paint shop in Stauton
Island. Near the paint shop is a group of garages. When you are about to
leave the alley there should be a Blista parked in one of the garages.
BP Barracks OL truck:
Ride the road by the water at Staunton Island. You will find a
storage place with a lot of boxes. Go to the gate marked "Keep
Out". Enable the "Better driving skills" code, then drive in
reverse and press L3 to jump over the gate. Get out to find a
Barracks OL truck. It looks like a farm vehicle.
This car can only be obtained during the Arms Shortage mission. When you
are in Phil's compound, get into the Barracks OL and use it to block the
Cartel cars. Then, kill all the Cartel. Check on Phil and you are done. Take
the Barraacks OL and shoot it. It should be bulletproof.
BP Patriot: Bulletproof:
To get the bulletproof Patriot (Hummer), complete the Marked Man
mission for Roy (the cop) the second time that you meet him.
BF Injector:
Complete the Mafia missions in story mode to unlock the BF
Injector Buggy. Return to Portland and go to the Diablo parking lot (where
the mission phone is located) between 19:00 to 24:00 to find the same buggy
glimpsed in Joey's garage from the Mafia mission. It will appear in the same
location and change color each time. This car also has an alarm.
If you want to pick the color of the BF Injector, park a car with the
desired color near the entrance of the building at the parking lot. The car
does not appear to be scratched, other than the windshield when it hits
something. It also never stays upside down.
Borgnine Taxi:
The Borgnine is a well built car or taxi. It is a brick red
cabbie with spikes with blood on the bumpers. It is located in Harwood. Go
to the head radio station. It usually is at the engine store next to the
radio station after the game has been completed.
Get 100 taxi fares to get the Borgnine Taxi. The taxi is maroon and
shaped like a cabbie. You will know when it is unlocked when the pager
appears and tells you. You can go to Borgnine Taxi's in Harwood and get a
new type of taxi. You should have one star once you steal it due to the
alarm. Note: The easiest place to get the fares done is in Staunton Island.
Borgnine Taxi: Spikes:
Look closely on the back bumper of the Borgnine taxi with a
sniper rifle. Sometimes it has about seven spikes with blood on them.
Bus:
To get bus, which you will need for the list of cars in Portland
Harbor, try to find a garbage truck. Since buses are very hard to find, try
to find one of these instead. They are more common, and easier to find. Once
you find one, drive it around awhile until you start to notice more garbage
trucks appearing. Keep driving and you will soon see more vehicles of the
same type; one of these is a bus. Be patient, and they will eventually
appear if you are driving a garbage truck. Once you steal a bus, take it to
the Portland Harbor garage and put it inside. If you walk outside, you will
notice a red line through "bus" on the list.
Drive around for awhile with the Coach underneath the long bridge
connecting Portland and Staunton Island. You should see it after awhile. It
looks like an old school bus. Once you are in it, more of them will show up.
Cheetah: Bulletproof:
When the race starts in the Turismo mission, go to your hideout
and park yourself inside a tank directly in the street. One of the cars is a
Cheetah, and it will veer to the left and go into your garage area. Push the
Cheetah into your garage and trap him there by leaving your tank in front of
the garage door. When the race ends, he will remain in your garage and you
can save the game. Note: Park many tanks in the street to better force him
into your garage. Also put a lineup of tanks on the left and right side of
your garage so he cannot get around you when he tries to leave.
Find the blue phone on the map (El Burro missions) in Hepburn Heights.
Pick up the phone and go to the starting line. Do not stop on the blue dot
or ram any of the other cars. Go to the brick wall next to the Callahan
bridge. Enable the "Rhino tank" code then place it against the
brick wall, even with the edge of the building to the right. Get a car and
return to the starting line. Bump one of the racers or stop in the blue
circle to start the race. The three Cheetahs will race through the first
checkpoint next to the brick wall and slam into the tank. About 50% of the
time, one car will flip. If they do not, ram the three of them until one
flips over. You can now either destroy the other two and finish the race
(but the flipped over Cheetah may disappear) or move the tank and let at
least one finish the race. Do not move the car until the race is over,
because the driver is still trying to race and the car flips back on it
wheels very easily. After the race is over, take a car and ram the now
empty, but locked, car into your garage. If your car starts on fire, enable
the "Health" code. Once in your garage and after the door closes,
the car will be unlocked.
Cheetah: Bulletproof, fireproof, explosion
proof:
Get a Tank. Go to your hideout and take out anything that is in
your garage. Then go to the El Burro phone and accept the Turismo mission.
Drive the Tank to the purple marker, making sure not to blow any cars up on
the line. Whenever the race starts, turn your tank around and high-tail it
back to your hideout. Park it right by the entrance and wait there. After
awhile, around "Race Time:170", the cars will turn the corner. Run
into one, causing it to explode. Then, push it into your garage. After it
gets repaired, it will be bullet-proof, explosion proof, and fire proof. The
only thing that destroys it is collisions.
After getting the bulletproof, fireproof, explosion proof Cheetah from
the Turismo mission, fail the mission intentionally. Do not do the mission
again until you reach the next city. After getting to to Staunton Island, go
back and repeat the trick and get another special Cheetah. Repeat this
process to get as many as desired.
Cheetah: Without completing the Mafia missions:
Clear the Mafia missions up to "The Chaperone". Talk to
Maria's friend/drug dealer, Chico. If you have an Uzi, kill Chico. He will
just stand there and die after the shots. Go to the party but do not go in
the blue marker -- park about 12 feet way from it. Look at the line of cars
to the right and a Cheetah will be in between a Mantana and Patriot. Get in
the Cheetah and punch it to your safehouse garage. Maria will not have
gotten out of the car. Go back to the party and get the stretch ready to
speed to Salvatore's house.
Cheetah: Easy steal in Shoreside Vale
Go to Cedar Grove near Catalina's mansion. When you are near the
curvy ramp, there should be houses down along the left side of the road
leading to it. About five houses is a house with a medium sized driveway
that ends at a garage. This house is white with a black roof. There is a
Cheetah in the driveway that is always open, but be careful of the car
alarm. If cops see you with it on, they will chase after you.
Dodo: Flying:
Take the Dodo to the very end of the runway. Turn it around so
its facing away from the edge. Hold X to build up momentum, while
holding Up. Once you get enough speed, quickly hold Down. Once
airborne, use normal controls to level out the car. Note: The small wings
make extended flight extremely difficult, if not impossible.
Hold Down to get more speed with the Dodo. When you are about to
do a nose dive, hold Up and you will start to fly.
To get sustained flight, go to the end of the runway, so that when you go
down the runway you will be heading toward Staunton Island. Hold X,
but do not use the Analog-stick except for staying on the runway.
Before you get to the end of the runway, the plane will start to take off.
Do not touch the Analog-stick while in the air or you will lose speed
and crash. You can make it to Staunton Island, but you will have to try and
land on the underpass. It is possible to fly for up to 32 seconds.
Find a long stretch of road (such as the runway) then hold X + Down.
When you see sparks underneath the plane, release all buttons. When you are
high enough (but not high enough to stall), hold Down to level off or
until you cannot see the red nose (holding X of course). The trick is
to avoid pressing Up (except to dodge obstacles such as billboards).
To turn, tap in your desired direction multiple times. It is possible to fly
up to 199 seconds with this technique.
Dodo: Flip:
When flying in the Dodo, pick up a lot of speed and fly as high
as you can. Then, dive down, pull back up and hold Analog-stick Down.
The Dodo will soon slow down and be straight up, but slanted back slightly.
It will then start to lose altitude quickly. Press Analog-stick Up
and the Dodo will slowly do a flip. Note: This may require several attempts.
Get to full speed in the plane and fly along the beach in the west. Do a
nose-dive and as you hit the ground, pull up and do not stop. If done
correctly you should do a pathetically small loop-de-loop.
FBI car:
Go to the railroad and you will notice only one of the two are
actually used. Go to the other side from the loading platforms that are not
used. You can sit on the edge of the railroad and kill people. Because of
the railroad under you, they will not be able to shoot you (except for the
occasional helicopter, which you will have to shoot down). You will be able
to kill the FBI agents. When they get out, quickly jump in and drive to your
save point.
Use the following trick to get an FBI car easily when you are trying to
get all the law enforcement cars on the ship. Go to your hideout in Portland
and stay just inside of the entrance to the street. Take out your weapons
and start shooting cars that pass you by Rockets work very well. When you
get your warning level to five stars, the FBI cars will come after you. They
will be so out of control that they will crash into the wall in front of
you. Run to the back of your hideout by the garage, then run back up to the
FBI car. Get in and drive it the few feet to your garage and save the game.
Then, load the game to get rid of all the cops and take it to the harbor.
Enable the "Tank" code and drive around, destroying things
until you get four stars. When the FBI cars are flying at you, drive around
the same block until they form a roadblock. Drive to it slowly and enable
the "No wanted level" code. Get out of the tank and jack an FBI
car before an agent gets in, then immediately drive away. Perform the
"No wanted level" code again and you are done.
Note: The FBI cars get a free spray when taken to the Pay 'N' Spray at
Staunton Island, behind the car storage unit.
Get a five star wanted level. If the cops start your car on fire, get out
and get another car quickly. When the FBI arrives in their black Kurumas,
stop and make them get out. Drive the opposite direction, then turn back
around quickly. The FBI agents will be gone, and you can take their car
easily. Then, enable the "Decrease wanted level" code and take it
to your hideout.
There is a small bridge over a one way road on Stanton Island. Climb up
it. Enable the "Full armor" code and repeat the "All
weapons" codes to get 100 rocket launcher rounds. Either enable the
"Increase wanted level" code or destroy lots of cars and people.
When you get five stars on your wanted meter, kill the FBI agents near one
of the FBI cars. Then, enable the "Decrease wanted level" code.
When the police have gone, take the car and store it in your garage. Note:
Sometimes a police officer or FBI agent will climb the stairs of the bridge.
This is rare, but dangerous. Shoot the officer to death.
FBI car: Gray
Get a FBI car and take it to Pay And Spray
Flatbed:
A Flatbed is needed for the Import/Export garage in Portland
harbor. Get the fire truck from Portland (near Capital Autos) and drive over
the bridge to Staunton Island. Go to the Pan-Lantic Construction/Cartel gang
area (to let the memory focus that you have a large vehicle, so it can match
others with its size), then drive back to the bridge. Drive over the bridge
back to Portland, and about half-way across you will see it/them. It looks
exactly like a Barracks Ol.
Ice Cream Truck:
Go to Portland and do the "I Scream, You Scream"
mission (after the Turismo mission) by El Burro. Pick up the briefcase, then
go towards the dot. When you get there, hijack the Ice Cream Truck, drive it
to Staunton Island, and park it in your garage. It will not fit in the
Portland garage. Blow up the truck. You should fail the mission. Open, then
close the garage and the Ice Cream Truck is all yours.
Go to Portland and do the "I Scream, You Scream" mission (after
the Turismo mission) by El Burro. After you deliver the ice cream van to the
docks and set off the music, step back and wait for the men to appear. Shoot
them instead of detonating the van. You will pass the mission and get the
Mr. Whoopee truck.
Drive around the Cartel Mansion (near your hideout/dam) in Shoreside
Vale. Drive to the back of the mansion and wait near the gray areas of the
mountains or on top of the hill. You will soon hear the familiar Ice Cream
Truck song from Grand Theft Auto 2. If you are fast enough, you will
see the Ice Cream Truck drive by. A fast car is recommended to chase after
the truck -- once it disappears from the screen you will not be able to see
it again until another game cycle/day. The Ice Cream Truck appears at random
times.
Get a police car in Shoreside Vale and press L3 to switch to
vigilante mode. After a few suspects, you will generally encounter one in an
Ice Cream Truck. Hit him a couple times or trap him so he exits. You can run
him over and kill him for some quick money, then get out of the police
cruiser and into the Ice Cream Truck. You can then hold L3 to play
your music, even if the cops have you in a high-speed pursuit. Note: If you
drive slowly along the streets with the music going, people will lean over
to buy some ice cream.
Cruise the street between the Porter tunnel entrance (under your hideout)
and the Cochrane Dam (it will be on one road) in Shoreside Vale. Drive back
and forth. If you hear a ice cream truck song, follow it to see the truck,
which appears once a day. You can also steal a fire truck, police car,
Enforcer or FBI car then click R3 and do the vigilante missions until
the ice cream truck is found.
Do the fire truck missions until you find an Ice Cream Truck. Put out the
fire, then get in it.
Kuruma:
In the beginning of the game when you have to go to Luigi's for
the first time, get out of the Kuruma. 8-Ball should still be talking.
Enable the "All weapons" code. Get a Rocket Launcher or something
similar and shoot the car. 8-Ball dies and you will start over again, but
will get a brand new Kuruma. If you do this fast enough, 8-Ball still talks
after he dies. You can also do this by just flipping upside-down, catching
on fire, or falling into the water.
Limousine:
First, get a Taxi or a Cabbie. Drive around and look for a
stretch limo. While in the taxi, hold R3 and press Triangle to
get out. While still holding R3, run to the limo and get in. Once
inside, release R3 and it will be as if you have a limo service.
Mannana:
This car can be obtained from the Skunk In The Trunk mission.
Take it to your Portland garage and blow it up. It is now yours, complete
with dead body.
Mr. Whoopie:
This car can be obtained during the Diablo missions. You will
need it for Import/Export garage in Portland.
To get a Mr. Whoopee for the Import/Export garage, during the El Burro
"I Scream, You Scream" mission, instead of blowing up the truck,
sniper all of the Forellis that exit the warehouse. Take the Mr. Whoopee to
the Import/Export garage. If you already completed the mission, steal a fire
truck and press R3 to do the fire mission. After awhile, you will
find a Mr. Whoopee. After putting out the fire, steal the Mr. Whoopee and
take it to the Import/Export garage.
Do Vigilante mission 2 on Portland. You will have to chase a mr. Whoppee.
Make it get stuck and when the suspect gets out, kill him and take the car
to the Import/Export garage.
Start a fire truck mission. When you are in it, you will see a Mr.
Whoopie. This may not work on the first mission, but keep trying and you
will get it.
Police car:
During the night at the police station in Portland, one of the
two police cars is unlocked most of the time. Get in it and steal it. You
can get a wanted level if a cop sees you taking it.
Walk up to a police car with a someone in it and try to get in. It will
be locked and he will chase you. Run immediately after trying to get into
the car. When the cop starts chasing you, run away until you are a good
distance away. Then, run into the police car and floor it.
Find a stopped police car on the street. Sneak up behind the car, then go
to the driver's side and press Triangle. Immediately, without
hesitation, run around to the other side of the car. He will try to chase
you around the back. Wait for about one second, then run back to the
driver's side. Get in, and punch the gas quickly. The cops try to cling to
their car. If you want to hurt them, back up and hit him with the door.
Go to a parked police car on the passenger side. Try to open the door and
it will not open. Wait about two seconds and try it again. It should now
open. Then, drive up about twenty feet and back over the cop.
Police car: Lock doors:
When you have wanted level, steal a police car. Press L1
to lock the left door and R1 for the right door. Note: This will only
temporarily lock the doors.
Rhino:
If you manage to get a tank (by getting the Army after you and
having the soldiers leave the tank), it is possible to save it in your
garage. Unfortunately, a tank will only fit in your Stauton Island hideout
due to the size of the door. Tanks are not indestructible but they can take
about 20 to 30 minutes worth of punishment. Tanks can also flip over, but
this is not easy to do. The tank shoots grenade rounds, of which you have an
unlimited amount. You can also move the tank's turret with the Right
Analog-stick. Note: The tank can also be used in the Vigilante missions.
To get a tank, raise your wanted level to 6. Next, find a way to get it
back to level 0, no matter what. Then, go to Phil's Weapon Shop at the very
tip of Staunton Island. You should be able to enter the tank there.
The only weakness of a Rhino Tank is fire (flame throwers and molotov
cocktails. However, fire still cannot stop a tank unless it is doused with
flames long enough. Their other weakness is getting tipped over becoming
upside down. Against all else, tanks are indestructible. Every vehicle that
runs into them (except other tanks) will explode upon impact. They also
include an unlimited ammunition cannon in front. Get six stars while on top
of a building. Stand on the edge of the building (so that you are in sight
of the military directly below you) so the Army will exit their tanks and
start shooting at you. Throw a grenade and wipe them out. Quickly jump down
from the building and press Triangle to get inside a tank. Drive it
to your Staunton Island garage (which is the only hideout garage where it
will fit and park it. Try to get to the elevator and save it. If you get
shot or busted in the process, do not worry about it -- the tank will still
be in the garage for you to save. Though you may have lost weapons by
getting wasted or busted, it is worth it. You can use the tank during
street-races to blow up other racers and have an easy win. It is also useful
with the "Sayonara Salvatore" mission by Asuka Kasen and many
other missions. Try getting the tank as soon as you reach your Staunton
Island Hideout.
Rhino: Faster driving:
To get the tank to go extremely fast, turn your turret to face
directly back, then fire repeatedly. Watch your shots -- if you hit any cars
the cops will chase you. This is especially useful for the Vigilante
missions.
Rhino: Move when flipped:
If you are in a tank and it flips over, fire the cannon and it
will start to move.
Rhino: Flying:
Get the tank, then turn the turret backwards and find a long road
(such as the airport at Shoreside Vale or any of the bridges). Start
shooting it as fast as you can to speed up the tank, hold Left
Analog-stick Down. If done correctly, the tank will become airborne
allowing you to actually fly it around. Do not hold Left Analog-stick
Down too far or you will crash. Note: Also enable the "Flying
car" code to increase the flying ability. Once in the air, balance it
out pressing Up and Down. You can also turn, but usually will
stall. Keep firing the turret while in the air. You can fly into buildings,
and do all types of tricks. If you fly long enough you will encounter game
glitches.
To steer a flying Rhino, pause game play and set up the turret left and
right buttons. When in the air, move the turret in the opposite direction to
which way you want to turn. Make sure that the turret is facing behind the
Rhino. While moving the turret, lightly tap the direction that you want to
go. Doing this will make the tank fly more smoothly.
Rhino: Look inside:
When you get in the Rhino, try to flip it sideways .Get out of
the tank. You will still be inside of it. Use the Right Analog-stick
to look around. You will see the interior of the tank.
Rhino: Storage:
The game seems to remember the location of tanks, no matter where
they are. Enable the "Tank" code, then park the it near your safe
house. Save your game, and when you load it again the tank will be where you
saved it. Note: It is not necessary to ever park it in the garage.
Rhino: Ramp:
A Rhino can be used as a major ramp for any car (but not another
Rhino). Drive at top speed (Stinger, Infernus, Banshee, or Cheetah
recommended) towards the side of the tank and ram it. It will send you
flying very far.
Rhino: Destroying:
There are two ways to take out tanks. The main weapon is fire --
use the flame thrower or the molotov cocktails. It may take a while to take
them out. The molotovs should be used at a safe distance and is the safest
way. The flame thrower needs to be used at close range, which is risky.
You need at least ten molotov cocktails and a few grenades. When a tank
is in a stopped position, start throwing the molotov cocktails, and keep
throwing them. At most, throw about five, then switch to grenades. Throw a
few grenades, then switch back and throw the rest of the molotov cocktails.
After a few seconds, you will hear an explosion. The tank will be burnt like
the other cars when they explode.
Rhino: Avoid losing:
When driving the Rhino, do not stop it (unless you are getting
out) or drive slowly. Otherwise, criminals or prostitutes will run after
you, trying to hijack your tank and sometimes beat you up. Give them the
chance and they will. This especially applies to when the "Pedestrians
riot" code is active, or with cops, SWAT teams, the FBI, military
forces, gangs, and people that you get mad. Note: This seems to be more
common at night.
Rumpo: Pitch Black:
This car can be obtained during the from Under Surveillance
mission.
Securicar: Bulletproof:
Start the Van Heist mission for Joey Leone. After stealing the
Securicar, take it to your garage. Blow up the car, let the door shut, and
reopen it to get a bulletproof Securicar.
Securicar: Message:
When you look at the back of the Securicar, it reads
"GRUPPE sechs", which is a phonetic way to spell "group
sex".
After stealing a Securicar, back up into objects to make the back doors
fall off. Then, get out and look in the back. It contains three boxes that
are marked "loot".
Sentinel:
To get a free Mafia Sentinel car without having to go to war with
some Mafia members after you steal their car, just go to Salvatore Leone's
house. In the driveway are two Mafia Sentinels. Every time you return, they
will reappear.
Go to the Saint Mark's area of Portland. Go to the top and you should see
a taxi with some benches. Drive past that for a short distance to find a
place called Marco's Bistro. There is a Sentinel parked there. It has a car
alarm.
Sentinel: Crash proof:
Have one of Sentinel cars follow you while you are in a car in
the Bait mission. Get out and they will also get out. Shoot them (you will
fail the mission), then get in their car. It is now crash proof. This will
last until you save the game.
Stallion: Do donuts:
Go to any open place with no traffic. Drive as fast as you can
and press the handbrake (R1) and hold Left or Right.
Hit the gas as you are holding the same direction. If done correctly, you
will start to do doughnuts. This may require a few attempts.
Stretch Limo: Pitch Black:
This can be obtained during the Salvatore missions.
Get in the limo and enable the "Better driving skills" and
"Flying car" codes. Get some speed in the direction of the bridge
and press L3 to jump the orange barricades. Go up the bridge to
Staunton Island. When you get to top of the hill before it goes down to the
ocean, press Up and keep tapping that direction. If the limo starts
going down do not hold Up, because it will lose speed. After getting
over, take it to your garage and kill yourself. Save the game after you get
out of the hospital. To see it, get in another car and go back over there.
Stretch Limo: White:
Take the fire truck in Portland. Do the fire truck extra mission
and usualy the first fire will be a white limo. Put the fire out, and you
will now have a white limo to drive around Portland.
Stretch Limo: Bulletproof, fireproof, explosion
proof, crash proof:
In Salvatore's "A Meeting For Toni" mission, go to
Joey's garage but do not go in the blue circle. Enable the "Faster
