Hidden secrets

Programmer message:
Go to the parking lot where you had to take out the men with bombs on their chests. Use the Dodo or a pile of cars to get on the other side of the wall that surrounds the area. Once in there, look for a poster with the secret message.

Fire truck message:
Get a fire truck to see the message "Putting out since 1872" near the bumper.

Look at either side of a fire truck to see the message "Don't burn in silence... Call 911".

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City reference:
Coming from Portland to Staunton Island, drive directly off the bridge and continue going straight. At the Belleville Park intersection, there are three large signs near the water. The last sign on the right is a Francis International Airport sign hinting at the game's sequel, with the message, "See You in Miami" written on it.

When you finish all your missions with Ray and you go to his lock up, it says "See you in Miami" on the beeper.

When you are at your hideout in Portland, use your sniper rifle. Zoom in inside your hideout to see a "Getaway" poster with a picture of palm trees and a sunset.

Newspapers:
Take a look at the newspapers that float around on the streets. There are two different types. One has the same page of articles as the page in the instruction manual, with circles around some of them. The other newspaper has a picture of Elvis with glowing eyes with the words "Elvis Zombie Found" followed by "Win shit".

Wanted posters:
Get a high wanted level and look down at the ground to find posters that will look like your character.

Shoot the moon:
Use the sniper rifle at night, zoom in on the moon, then shoot it. It will get bigger or smaller.

Chatterbox callers:
On rare occasions you can hear Tony from some of your missions in Portland call in to Chatterbox. He tells the host Lazlow about his mother treating him like a kid. You have to listen carefully because Tony tells Lazlow to call him sir, so nobody can tell it is him calling. Lazlow will only say Tony couple of times. Note: He is the guest that Lazlow tells to stop cussing because Chatterbox is a family radio station.

While listening to Chatterbox someone will call and say "Liberty City Cocks rule", which refers to the football team in the stadium message.

On the radio station Chatter Box, you can hear your girlfriend Maria call in asking Lazlow for advice on guys. She is the hyper-active one that suggests that Lazlow is gay.

Listen to the girl that is in the organization called Citizens Raging Against Phones (CRAP) and wait for her to say "it's hard organizing meetings without phones. We had to resort to carrier pigeons and they keep disappearing." Keep listening to Chatterbox. A short time later, you will hear a redneck talk about animals he eats, such as like zebras, squirrels, raccoons, pigeons, etc. He will say "Pigeons are good too. Sometimes they come with little notes attached. It's like a fortune cooking with wings." The reason the founder of CRAP's pigeons kept disappearing is because the redneck found and ate them.

Flashback radio station:
On the Flashback radio station, all the songs that are played are in the movie Scarface.

Radio station rewind:
When you want to hear a radio station from the very start of the track, get in a car and select the station of your choice. Wait for the game to switch to that station. Then, pause game play and go to the audio options screen. Before the game switches from the pause menu to the game play screen, press X. When the game resumes the radio station you selected will jump to the start of the track, and you can hear it from the beginning.

Liar Liar clip:
While listening to LIPS 106's turning a commercial, you will hear a guy say "Yes!" very loudly. That is Jim Carey's voice from Liar Liar.

Police radio message:
When in a police car, listen at the police radio. Strangely, a woman says, "One thousand chestnuts".

Web sites:
The web sites mentioned on the radio stations during the game actually exist. Examples include "www.petsovernight.com", "www.pogothemonkey.com", "www.sleepofflard.com", "www.lovemedia.tv", and "www.hiphophoneys.com".

There is a web site on the sign for the car lot in Portland that reads "www.dma-design.com/gta3/bonus.htm", but the actual web page does not exist.

At St. Francis Airport, look at one of the buildings to see three moving billboards. If you keep watching one of them, you will see "www.dma-design/gta3/secret.htm" appear, but the actual web page does not exist.

Go to the "www.kentpaul.com" web site to enter what at first appears to be a site dedicated to the 80's. After surfing through it, you will find that it is a secret site for the upcoming sequel, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City which happens to take place in the aforementioned era.

Sounds from Misty's apartment:
During the hours 18:00 to 00:00 there are some strange noises coming from Misty's apartment in Hepburn Heights, in the park by the payphone. It includes moaning, groaning, and someone talking like a madman.

Sounds from Momma's Restaurant:
In Portland, at Momma's Restaurant (Tony's contacting site), you can go up the door which is up the steps and listen into the door. You can hear wedding music, and sometimes Tony will say "But Ma, I am really a man.

Hear headphone music:
Go near the Cartel area in Shoreside Vale. Look for a fat man walking down the street in a light greenish-blue jacket. Look closely and you will see that he is wearing headphones. Walk by him and will hear techno beat music from the headphones.

Wear prison costume:
Remove your memory card, then turn on the PlayStation2. You will start a new game. When you begin, insert your memory card and load the game that you have been playing. When you start, you should have the prison suit. It will lasts until you die, get arrested, or turn off the game.

Start a new game, skip the opening sequence and when "Give Me Liberty" appears, pause game play and load a different saved game file. When done loading, you will be at your garage with the convict uniform from the start of the game.

Actions

Alternate pause screen:
Notice the car in the pause menu background. Keep pausing the game and eventually a computer will be in the background.

Easy "infinite" run:
To continue to run at a fast pace without fatigue, just tap X instead of holding it down. This helps when trying to give your character "exercise" so that he can run for longer periods of time as well.

To get so your character never stops running at full speed, complete all twelve paramedic missions. These missions must be done consecutively with the same vehicle for that effect.

To easily complete the twelve paramedic missions, go to Staunton Island (as its a less complicated area than Shoreside Vale, and has less gangs that shoot cars than in Portland). At the hospital, enable the "Tank" code about a dozen times and park them around the car park so that they are out of the way. The PlayStation2's memory is used up by the tanks, and there are will be no cars to collide with on the streets. Getting the twelve missions with the same ambulance should not be a problem. After this has been completed, enable the "Destroy all cars" code to return the game to normal.

Easy insane stunts:
Find a blue glitch (one that sends you twirling before you reappear in a random location in that city). Enable the "Better driving skills" code. Drive a very fast car and jump into it by pressing R3. Try do as many flips and twists as possible. You will usually get a good stunt, such as a double perfect insane stunt and a little note after that, stating "and what a great landing". This seems to work well with the stretch limo.

Turning better:
To turn better, press R1 instead of Square.

Press Triangle for easier turns when going fast. This also works well when getting away from the cops.

Easy peelout:
Drive very fast in an open space with no cars. Keep going until you get to maximum speed then quickly hold Triangle and turn your car 360 degrees. Release Triangle and if done correctly, you should have done a peelout. Note: You can use this method to get away from cops.

Diagonal backflip:
Enable the "Better driving skills" code and go to any ramp. Immediately before you go off, tap L3 to perform a diagonal backflip. This works about 25% of the time.

Jump during chase:
Go to any ramp while chased by the police. The best ramp for this trick is the one at the end of Cedar Grove which lets you jump over the river. Jump while the police are close to you. While you are flying through the air, you will see the police right behind you.

Hitch a ride:
If you are close to a cop and do not want to steal a car, but you also do not want to walk, jump on top of a car and let them take you away.

To make your driver go faster, shoot the car that you are on top of. Note: If you shoot the car you will most likely fall off the car during a sharp turn.

Ride on top of cars:
When a car stops for a traffic light, jump on top of it to get a little ride.

Rear end cars out of your way:
When the Shoreside Vale bridge is lifted, rear end the car in the very front of the line and they will take a dive.

Cause an accident:
Equip the sniper rifle and go to the nearest traffic signal. Aim and fire at the traffic light. If done correctly, this should cause an accident of two cars or more.

Drive-by shooting:
Get the Uzi and enter any car. Press R2 + Circle or L2 + Circle and your character will shoot the Uzi out either side of the car.

Get in any car and keep pressing Select until you cannot see anything but the road and nothing of your car. Then, enable the "All weapons" code or get a Uzi. Next, hold L2 or R2 to see your man putting his gun out the window from inside the car. This makes drive by shootings more fun, but you cannot see anything ahead of you while driving.

Stop a vehicle but do not jack it. Hop on top or back of it and get your favorite weapon out. Shoot the vehicle with the M-16 once and wait for it to speed up. Then, just start shooting away at the people.

Enable the "Increased gore", "Crazy pedestrians" , and "Pedestrians riot" codes. Run into the street and hop onto the nearest car (Bobcats seem to work best). Position yourself on theroof or the bed if on the Bobcat. Pick your favorite gun and enjoy the chaotic ride. This tends to be short-lived but very fun when you see your character shooting from the roof of a moving car. Snipers can really test their skills with this. Using the M-16 gives you the feel of a first-person gun game. If the car stops at a light or is too slow for your tastes, give it one shot (on the hood or elsewhere).

While riding on a vehicle, you have to move around on the turns or you will fall off. If you want to get on some taller vehicles (such as a bus, Cartel Cruiser, or a flatbed), park a shorter car in front and jump on. Also enable the "Flying car" code to get very high.

Race another vehicle:
Get an Uzi and a car that you want to race in. Go up to a vehicle that is stopped at a stop light. Aim your Uzi in the direction that the vehicle is on and quickly shoot it. The driver will get scared and will drive at top speed. Take off and race him or her. This works best on a two lane street.

Automatic shotgun:
When you have a shotgun with a ot of ammunition (over ten) and are surround by at least three or more people, you can turn the shotgun into a sort of automatic weapon. Face the group of people you want to kill. Hold the trigger, then keep pressing Aim (R1 on the PlayStation2 or L on the Xbox). If timed and executed correctly, this will cause Tommy to continue to shoot without pumping the gun. This is also a good way to finish any rampage in which the shotgun is equipped.

Wanted level limits:

Four stars on Portland.
Five stars on Staunton Island.
Six stars on Shoreside Vale.

Wanted level to six stars:
Get an AK 47, grenades, molotov cocktails, sniper rifle and grenade launcher. Stand on a rooftop where police will find it difficult to reach you, such as the Staunton Island parking structure or the Portland dock warehouse. Start shooting people to get at least one to two stars. At two stars, the police will really start going after you. Use your grenade launcher or grenades and begin firing or throwing them at police cars. Continue doing this to get to at least five stars. The easiest way to get six stars is to shoot the helicopters or the FBI cars with your grenade launcher or grenades. You will soon see Rhino tanks and Barracks OL trucks headed in your direction.

Get about two or three stars to the point where the police are chasing you. Grab a car and drive directly in front of Ammu-Nation in Staunton Island. Make sure the Uzis are in stock and get lots of ammunition for them. Enable the "More money" or "All guns" code if needed. Once you have a lot of Uzi ammunition, go outsiden but make sure you health and armor is full. Hold R1 and even if you cannot see who you are shooting at, fire way. If done correctly, there will be a barricade of police cars there. After shooting all your ammunition or when at low health, go back in Ammu-Nation and fill up again. If you see that any of the cars have caught on fire, go back inside -- once one explodes it cause a chain reaction. Repeat this to get lots of money and kills.

Remove wanted level:
When you have a wanted level and police are after you, go to your hideout in either Portland, Staunton Island, or Shoreside Vale . Save the game. As soon as your done saving, load the game and your wanted level will be gone.

Saving at unlocked locations:
If you cheat and go to Staunton Island or Shoreside Vale earlier than you are supposed to, you can save the game without having any missions there. Follow your radar. The icon that looks like a house is your hideout in that area, which allows you to save. Although you can save your game there, if you die you will return to Portland. If you wish to return to where you were, just load the game again.

Easy vigilante missions:
When you get close enough to the criminal's car, pause game play. When the game is resumed, the criminal will stop his car and get out. Then, just run him over or do a drive by shooting.

Go to any island to do the vigilante mission. Instead of stealing a cop car, fed car, etc., enable the "Tank" code, press R3, then get out of the tank. Then, enable the "Destroy all cars" code, enable the "Tank" code again, then get out and enable the "Destroy all cars" code again. Repeat this twenty times on each island to get a total of six police bribes. Note: When enabling the "Destroy all cars" code, run away from the Rhino or surrounding cars -- upon entering the code you may get back in the vehicle.

Start the vigilante mission and put the cop car in your garage. Enable the "Destroy all cars" cheat. That will destroy the criminal and your car. However, since your car is in the garage it will regenerate, allowing you to repeat the trick.

When in the police vehicle you are using to do the mission, drive until the target is quite close to you. Press Start to enter the menu, then resume the game. The target should get out the car and run away. Run him over to annihilate the target.

Easy paramedic missions:
To have the easiest paramedic missions, do them all on Portland Island, before you do any missions in the game. By doing this, there will be no enemy gangs out to get you and destroy your vehicle.

Easy police missions:
A quick way to get all the police bribes for your hideout is to first steal a police car (or any other law enforcement car). Take it to your hideout, then enter "Vigilante". Put the car in your garage and get out. Wait until the door closes, then enable the "Destroy all cars" code. This will kill the criminal. Enter back into the police car, which will be fine since it was in the garage. Repeat this as many times as needed. Since you get money for each criminal you kill, you may also want to do this when low on cash. This method can also be used with any other mission that requires you to destroy a car.

Easy boat missions:
When taking a boat mission that requires you to destroy another boat, do not try and destroy it yourself. Just enable the "Destroy all cars" code and the mission completed message will appear.

There are two boat missions in which you must destroy an enemy boat. There is an M-16 that you can find in the second island, close to Donald Love's building in an area with three parked cars. On the outside are some stairs. Go up the stairs, turn left, and jump up to the higher ground. Next, jump over the gap over the low wall, where you can find a M-16 and body armor. On the first boat mission where you must go after a speed boat, do not get in the police boat (it is slow). Instead, get in the speed boat and go after the other boat. When you get close, release the steering so the boat is still moving and you can move around on foot. Use your M-16 and blow up the other boat very fast. If you run out of ammunition, use other weapons. However, do not use the shotgun as you may also blow up your own boat. On the other boat mission, do the same thing. However, this is easier because the enemy boat is bigger and slower.

Easy rampage missions:
Have one star in your wanted level, then have a policeman follow you when you pick up the icon. When the rampage starts, the policeman will still follow you, but because he is there the gangs will not shoot at you, leaving you to freely pop them off without any trouble. However, you will get punched in the back of the head by a policeman at random.

Find a rampage, then find a tank. When the rampage, begins get into the tank and use it instead of the selected weapon.

Easy missions:
Many of the missions require you to blow up or destroy cars, items, etc. Use the Tank to make these types of missions easier. During some of the missions, cops chasing you can be the difference between completing the mission and failing. To eliminate this difficulty, enabled the "No wanted level" code while they are chasing you and they will stop.

Skip Kenji missions:
To skip the majority of the missions for Kenji, do the first mission for him then work for Ray. After enough missions for him, you will be able to work for Donald Love. One of Donald's missions involves killing Kenji. Do it and you will have skipped three very hard missions.

Stealing police cars:
To easily steal police cars, press Triangle at the drivers side door. Then, as the policeman gets out, go to the passenger side and hop in.

Go to the passenger door and try to open it. The cop will get out and try to arrest you. Once he is out and closes his door, get in the passenger side and drive off. Note: You will have one star on you.

Steal bus with someone inside:
Find a bus driving around, steal it, hold X. You should start driving with the driver still in it. Switch to first person view mode and press R2 to see the driver.

Killing pedestrians:
Make sure you have the Uzi and some ammunition (drive-by purposes). Then, get a police car by whatever means. You can do this with a normal car, but a police car is recommended. Once you have a car, pull up next to another car, preferably a large one such as, a bus, diesel, etc. Make sure that this is a vehicle that you can keep up with, and that it handles badly at high speeds. Shoot the vehicle to get it running from you. Chase after it and use the siren to watch chaos ensue. Even though the CPU-driven car is going as fast as it can, it will still try to pull over. Use the siren for about a second, then turn it off for about three seconds and repeat. If done correctly, it will plow into people, cars, walls, and even you if you get in its way. Also, if it catches fire and explodes, watch out. Some of the other vehicles will try to run you down and give chase if the car explodes near them. Not all the cars act in this way, but you can trigger these actions if you are persistent.

Killing paramedics:
Beat up at least six people in the same area so they die in a pile. This will attract an ambulance and paramedics. When the paramedics exit the ambulance, jack it and run over them and any other pedestrians around the area. Note: You will get a wanted level of 1 or possibly 2 if a cop sees you.

Killing Ammunation store clerks:
Walk into any of the Ammunation stores. Make sure you have weapons. Draw a grenade, throw it towards the clerk, then run to the farthest corner of the store. You will hear the grenade explode. Walk over to the service desk and look at the clerk. He will be dead. This can also be done with other weapons, such as the sniper rifle.

Enter Army Surplus store early:
Go to the Army Surplus store. Go to the building on the right side. There is a little passage with a red crate blocking your way in. Get a car, and park it by the little concrete wall. Jump on top of the car, then jump on top of the little wall. Then, walk on top of it until you get inside. There is a Barracks OL inside.

Get on top of subway:
Go to the subway in any town. Go to the edge of the platform where it slopes down. Take a step forward and fall right between the actual subway rail and the edge of the platform (the yellow part). Wait for the train and when it arrives, press Triangle to get in. Before the subway leaves, press Triangle again to get back out. If done correctly, you should now be on top of the subway. Note: The graphics will glitch. If you fall back off the edge, you will land back on the platform unless you go further down the tracks.

Give drivers the finger:
While on foot, walk out in front of a car and you will eventually give that person the middle finger.

Press L1 when on foot to show your middle finger.

Shoot out lights:
You can shoot out streetlights and traffic lights using the rocket launcher.

Matrix-type fights:
When you are on an adrenaline pill (when the small pill icon appears), get into a fist fight or have a shoot out with someone. The fight will have a Matrix-type effect.

Bust up cars:
After taking the adrenaline pill, running into any car will cause it to break apart, and eventually flip over if you push hard enough.

Lifting cars:
Make sure no one is in the car and take an adrenaline pill. When you are using the pills, run towards the car. The car will lift from the ground.

Funny sound effects:
Enable the "Slow game play" code several times, then enable the "All weapons" code. Use the flame thrower or molotov cocktails to burn someone to hear them scream and moan.

Dive out of the way:
When a police car or other law enforcement vehicle is speeding toward you, press Left or Right + Square. Your character will sometimes dive out of the way.

Maria and Asuka double-teaming Fido:
When taking Maria and Asuka to the second island on the boat, get off the wheel and attack one of them to have them attack you. You will probably die as Maria has a Uzi and Asuka acts like she is a kickboxing champ.

Regain health with prostitute:
Car jack any vehicle and drive up to a prostitute walking the streets. Stop and let her approach the car, after a few seconds of talking, she will get in. Drive to a remote area where there are not any cops around (a good place is in your hideout). Stop the car, but do not get out. After about two seconds, the car will start rocking back and forth. You will recover approximately 40 to 50 points of health. When it is over, she will exit the car and walk away, but not before she charges you a fee. At this point you can beat her up and take back the money you just paid her. Note: The prostitute will fight back when you try to take your money back. If for any reason you both have to exit the car before it starts rocking, you will still be charged a fee (beat her up to take it back). You cannot do this with the same prostitute twice in one night -- you can however, pick up another prostitute and recover more health. Even though the maximum amount of health points is 100 when you start the game, it increases to 125 after the encounter and remains that way.

When you pick up a prostitute and as soon as the car stops shaking, before the girl gets out, step on the gas slightly. She will not get out because the car is moving. If you stop right after, the car will start rocking again. This is a good way to save time when you are trying to get health back.

While around prostitutes, walk or drive in the road and stop to stop traffic. Make sure it is around a prostitute. While they are honking, a prostitute will walk up to an AI car, talk, and get in.

It is possible to pick up to three prostitutes at once: First, pick up one prostitute and ride around until you see another one. Get out, then get back in. Both hookers might get in. You can do this with up to three hookers if you have a big enough car.

Trap prostitute in garage:
Pick up a prostitute using a nice car (such the Banshee). And drive her back to your home and park the car in the garage. Get out of the car. She will get out your door as well. Walk out of the garage. If done correctly, the garage door will close and she will be trapped inside. Save the game and she will still be there. You can also do this with the taxi to trap passengers.

Airport boats:
Around the airport runway is a ramp that goes to the water. Once there, you will find a police boat or a speeder on the other side of the water. You can also drive the boat up to the dam and the other side of Staunton Island.

Get into the big airplanes:
Get a small car that has the top down. Go to one of the planes and drive under it. Get out of the car and you will have a view of the inside of the plane. Note: Once you get out of your car you cannot get back in.

Shoot down airplanes:
Enable the "Gore" code, then arm yourself with a rocket launcher. Drive (or walk) to a location in the path of the small airplane flying around the city. Portland is best location for a clear shot. When the plane is in range (basically directly on top of you), shoot a rocket at it. If you hit it, the plane will explode, the screen will flash and shake, and your wanted level will rise to four stars.

R/C Car big air:
Go to one of the Toyz vans to drive the R/C Car. Enable the "Pedestrians have weapons" and "Pedestrians riot" codes. Drive the car over one of the dead bodies and about 75% of the time you will be shot spinning, straight up in the air. You can get extremely high above some buildings.

Walk on water:
Climb into any boat, then enable the "Invisible cars" code. It will appear as if you are walking on water.

Auto star:
Enable the "Change outfit" code and become a law officer. Punch someone or steal a car to get a star.

Cops shot in one star:
Jump on a car when a cop is chasing you on foot. The cop will shoot you.

Smash cars with bare hands:
When hopped up on pills, your character can smash up cars with his bare hands. Approach the side of a car and run towards it while holding X. The car's windows will break and the body will dent. If the vehicle has a high center of gravity (such as a truck or an ambulance), you can tip it over.

Hit people with your gun:
Run up to a pedestrian, pull out a shotgun, and fire. If you were close enough, you will hit them into the air and shoot them.

Hold up people:
Walk in front of someone and hold R1 with a gun in your hand. They will surrender, put their hands up, then run. This usually works best with a normal handgun. Note: This does not work with everyone in Liberty City.

Pile of people:
Enable the "Faster game play" code twice, then enable the "All weapons" code and get a bat. Go to any sidewalk and start batting a person to death. More people will walk up to you. Just bat them as well. You will soon have a pile of people on the sidewalk.

Stop enemy gangs from shooting you:
Enable the "Change costume" code until you get a man who wears a rain hat (wide brim flat top), green full length trenchcoat, and has grayish black hair. Cartel members and other games will not shoot you or your car. Enemies will still shoot you if you jack their car. You can still get in to trouble with the law. This effect may end after you die.

Gang triggers:
The following missions will make the corresponding gang try to kill you.

Triads: The Pick Up
Diablos: Uzi Rider
Mafia: Sayonara Salvatore
Cartel: They already want you dead.

Attacking landstalkers:
Ram and shoot the red landstalkers on the second island. A group of them will start to attack you, as if they are another type of gang. This seems to work best around the construction site.

Free Pay 'N Spray:
The first time you go into the Pay 'N Spray shops it will cost $1000. Keep spraying the car until you notice that it is free.

Just before entering the Pay N' Spray, enable the "Health" code. After the code is confirmed, drive into the Pay 'N Spray for a free repair.

You can get a free paint job if you enter a Pay N' Spray with a Mr. Whoopie ice cream truck.

Run farther:
The main character's running distance depends on how much you exercise him. The more he runs, the farther he will be able to go without stopping.

Using sirens:
Steal ether a police, ambulance, or fire truck (easier to steal). Turn on the sirens and all cars on the road will pull over and get out of your way. This will not bring your wanted level up. Try staying in the center of the road -- if you go to the side of the intersection, cars will either hit you or cause a road block. Note: If it does not work the first time, keep pressing L3.

Car alarms:
If enter a car and the alarm goes on, just get out of the car and wait for it to stop. After the car alarm stops, simply get back in the vehicle and you can drive away free of noise and suspicion from the cops.

Sniping location:
To avoid getting caught by the police while sniping, enable the "All weapons" code as many times as desired. Then, get on top of the police HQ and snipe from there. If a badge appears, enable the "Lower wanted level" code.

Avoid police chases:
After stealing police cars, you are relentlessly pursued by the police until you are captured or injured. In order to get around this, steal the police car (try smashing them until they get out to arrest you, and then jump in their car). Take the stolen police car to your garage (the condition does not matter), and save the game. When you return with the stolen police car later (from your garage), it will be viewed as a normal car by the police, but will still be able to do the Vigilante mission.

First, find badges. The best places to look are in the alleys and parking lots. If being chased in a car, and you are not about to explode, just keep running, and try to not kill anyone. Sometimes, if you drive around enough in harsh conditions, the cops will just stop chasing you. This only happens if you have one or two stars though. If you have around four or more stars, quickly find some badges. The cops are reckless around then, and will do anything to get you busted, or most likely killed, even if it means accidentally killing a few witnesses.

Get back to your hideout, save then game, then reload. The cops will be gone. This works no matter how high your wanted level has become.

Go into the Ammunation store while the cops are after you. The cops will not enter the store, and will eventually give up and walk away.

When you need to escape from the cops, enter the subway. The cops will never enter it and you will be safe, even with six stars in your wanted level.

Use the "Costume change" code and use any police uniform (FBI, SWAT, etc.), and no cop will attack if you kill a person.

An easier way to get rid of the cops is to hop on a train. This works for any amount on your wanted meter.

Be a passenger:
When you are near a police car, press Triangle and try to get in. As the cop gets out to arrest you, get in through the other door and then enable the "No wanted level" code. If done quickly enough, the cop will stop chasing you and get in the drivers seat while you are still in the passenger seat.

Increase accuracy rating:
Kill someone with the machine gun, then stand over him/her and keep shooting them.

Increase criminal rating:
Enable the "Weapon", "Health", and "Armor" codes. Go to the police station entrance in Staunton Island. Enable the "Increase wanted level" code until you have five stars. Blow up every car that approaches (rocket launcher recommended). Then, enable the "Decrease wanted level" code and go back to your hideout. Each time this is done, your criminal rating will increase by 50 points.

Wanted levels:

Wanted level 1 (One star): One cop or one cop car will chase you at a time. One cop gets out of the car. The cops will not shoot you unless you are on top of a vehicle, but will use their fists.

Wanted level 2 (Two stars): More cops will chase you at a time. Two cops get out of one car. The cops will shoot at you with a pistol. They will chase you more often.

Wanted level 3 (Three stars): Even more cops and one helicopter will chase you at a time. Two cops will get out of one car. The cops will shoot at you with a pistol. The cops will set up roadblocks with normal cop cars. They will chase you even more often and ram you more often if you are driving.

Wanted level 4 (Four stars): A lot of cops and one helicopter will chase you at a time. Two cops will get out of one car. The cops will shoot at you with a pistol. Sometimes the S.W.A.T. team will chase you in Enforcers. Four S.W.A.T. team men will get out of an Enforcer. They will shoot you with a Uzi. The cops (not the S.W.A.T team) will setup roadblocks with Enforcers. They will chase you often and will try to ram you or sometimes try to run you over (if you are on foot).

Wanted level 5 (Five stars): The FBI and two helicopters will chase you at a time. The FBI will chase you in FBI cars. Four FBI agents will get out of one FBI car. They will shoot at you with AK-47s. The FBI will setup roadblocks with dark gray FBI cars. They will chase you often, do a lot of ramming, and will try to run you over. The helicopters will shoot at you more often. You have to complete the last Portland mission and be able to go to Staunton Island by normal means (without cheating) to get a wanted level to this level.

Wanted level 6 (Six stars): This is the most dangerous wanted level. The Military and two helicopters will chase you at a time. The Military will chase you in Military vehicles. They are not as fast as FBI cars, but a lot more powerful. There is also an occasional tank. Two soldiers will get out of a Military vehicle at a time. They will shoot at you M-16s. The Military will setup roadblocks with Military vehicles. Unlike Grand Theft Auto 2, they will not setup tank roadblocks. They will chase you often, do a lot of ramming, and will try to run you over. The helicopters will shoot at you more often. You have to be able to get to Shoreside Vale by normal means (without cheating) to get a wanted level to this level.

People

Scared pedestrians:
Shoot cars with an M16 until they catch on fire. The person driving will accelerate and try to stop. Watch the car explode. The car might stop and the driver will get out and hit another car while the other car speeds up (before stopping and exploding).

Singing pedestrian:
Throughout the game, a pedestrian can be heard saying lines from Village People songs. He says things like "YMCA", "In the navy", "You can sail the seven seas", and many more.

Forrest Gump pedestrian:
If you look around enough you will notice a pedestrian with reddish hair, a funny walk, blue shorts, and a white and blue Hawaiian-style T-shirt. Bump into him just enough to nudge and he will say things in a "Forrest Gump"-type voice. His phrases include "I'm gonna start joggin soon" and "I bet the diner's open."

Pedestrian with Rockstar hat:
Look around for a man that has a white coat and some kind of earmuffs or headphones. Take out the sniper rifle and try to zoom in on his hat. You should see the Rockstar logo on his hat.

Pedestrian with Rockstar shirt:
While in Staunton Island, near your hideout is a girl in a blue sweatshirt. She usually says "Hi, how are you?" . The Rockstar name appears across her chest.

Pedestrian with penis picture:
Walk around Staunton Island until you see a man carrying a folder. Use a sniper rifle and zoom in on the folder. A picture of a penis can be clearly seen.

Hit a pedestrian very far:
Load up on adrenaline pills while the game is slow motion mode. Use your fist and get in a fight with someone on the streets. Note: You can get chased buy the cops as this is violence. If you knock him down, he will go flying through the air. He will die or get back up again to fight.

Take a pedestrian out of car without getting in:
Walk up to a car and press Triangle. As soon as you start pulling the person out, hold either Down or the opposite direction of the car. This will cause you to just pull the person out and not get in. This is helpful for when you want to get more pedestrians to kill by hand or to not get a wanted level. Tthe police will only chase if you steal the car and pull the person out.

Singing paramedics:
Kill a lot of people and the ambulance should appears. If you get stars, enable the the "No wanted level" code. The paramedics will jump out of the ambulance to heal the injured people. While they are healing the people, they will sing parts of songs from the radio.

Attracting prostitutes:
Go to the red light area in the Portland Industrial District and drive very slowly next to a prostitute. They will walk up to your car, bend over, and eventually go in.

The easiest pick up a prostitute is to drive a fine car. While taxis and cop cars do not attract them easily, cars such as Diablos and others will attract them more often.

Pick up two prostitutes at once:
Get a four door car such as a Landstalker or a Limo. Find two prostitutes that are together on the street and then have them enter the car. You will not get extra health.

Get a prostitute to follow you on foot:
Pick up a prostitute in the usual way and increase your health to 125. When she gets out of the car and walks away, slowly follow alongside her without making her run away. Continue following her until she turns to walk back to your car. Before she gets back into the car, get out of the car and run a few feet away. She should follow you when you run and stand by you when you stop. She will not get back into a car with you, but if you get into a car and drive slowly. She will follow you, running behind the car. Be careful not to run her over. If you stop the car, she will try to stand by the car. You can look at her with the M-16, Sniper Rifle or Rocket Launcher, but she will run away and leave you if you aim auto-targeting weapons at her (such as the Uzi, AK-47, Shotgun, etc.). She will stay with you if you shoot pedestrians, gang members, etc., but will run away if you shoot someone who is fighting her. She will not start a fight or join in if you start fighting a bystander. However, if someone hits her she will fight back.

Prostitute's chest:
Approach a prostitute and shoot her with a shotgun while she is facing you. After she gets shot, enable the "Lower wanted level" code if you get a star. Get the sniper rifle and zoom in at her chest. You can also do this when she is walking, but is more difficult.

Make pedestrians jump:
Get a car and drive it to an area where there is water close to a road. Next, drive your car to the edge while there are people around. Get out and push your car into the water. Wait until it explodes. All the people around will run into the water, trying to see the explosion and consequently drown themselves. They will float down there for awhile.

Just in front of Cochrane Dam is a passage with a ledge. People can be found walking on this at random times. Point a gun at them and they will run off.

Go to Asuka's on Staunton Island and take one of the boats that are docked. Turn so you are facing Portland. Then, make a left and follow the Staunton Island coastline. Keep following it until you see the second small bridge. There will be a little inlet there. Turn into it and go to the right. Go to the end of it and take out a bazooka or a sniper rifle and shoot cars or people. If gang members come after you they will fall into the water. When pedestrians come to see what happened they will also fall in. Get a wanted level and watch the police fall in the water when they come after you.

Kill a lot of pedestrians:
Kill a pedestrian with a gun. Then, wait until everyone nearby approaches to see the dead person. Enable the "All weapons" code and select the rocket launcher. Get far back and blast everyone standing around the first dead person.

On one of the subway platforms, aim the Uzi or shotgun at a random pedestrian so that he or she runs onto the train track. They will either try to run back onto the platform or just stand there waiting for their fate. Sooner or later, the train will arrive resulting in possibly the most violent death in the game. Also, bizarrely, other pedestrians will then run over to see what has happened and will also die when they come into contact with the train, even though it is stopped.

Pickpockets:
There are two kinds of pickpockets in the game. One looks like a Nines gang member, but wears darker clothes. The second type has a black shirt and blue and white pants. When you see them pickpocket, aim at them with a gun and they will drop the money.

To attract pickpockets, go to Hepburn Heights and get a get a good car such as a Diablo. Drive slow and look for pickpockets. Honk the horn and after awhile they will approach, get in your car, and drive off. Arm your car with a bomb so when they drive off, the car will explode with them inside.

Repeating thief:
Look around Liberty City for a white thief. Either start a fist fight or point a gun (handgun, Uzi, AK-47) at him. Sometimes he will say things such as" I'll get ya get ya" and "What, are you nuts? Nuts!?".

Unlimited Flamethrowers:
Put out twenty fires on each of the three islands (about sixty total) to get unlimited Flamethrowers at your hideout. Note This does not have to be done all at once.

Unlimited Health icons:
Save fifty people on paramedic missions to get unlimited health icons at your hideout. Note This does not have to be done at once.

Easy health:
Hijack an ambulance to get 20 health.

Unlimited Adrenaline Pills:
Save fifty people on paramedic missions to get unlimited Adrenaline Pills at your hideout. Note This does not have to be done at once.

Police bribes:
Complete about twenty vigilante missions in each district to obtain a total of six cop bribes at your hideout.

Get seven kills in a row in vigilante mode to unlock a police bribe that is available at your hideout.

In the vigilante missions, eliminate eight criminal threats to get one police bribe. The police bribe is the small star that you use to get rid of the police. If you eliminate eighteen criminal threats, you will get one more police bribe.

Easy money:
Look out for ramps and high slopes. If you drive up them fast enough, you can jump certain obstacles such as buildings and truck trailers. If successful, you can get a "Insane Bonus" message, resulting in a lot of money.

When riding around in Staunton Island, look for a women dressed as a sprinter/jogger. Get out, then attack and kill her. After doing so, collect the thousands of dollars she leaves on the floor. Note: Be careful, you might alert the cops.

After you complete the check list of cars for the Portland Docks garage, you can take the Surcuricar and drive it into the garage around the corner. After the second garage opens, drive in, exit the car, and you will receive a varying amount of money. The garage is the same one as in the Van Heist mission.

Find the old gangster walking around with a red rag --he slumps over. Kill him to get thousands of dollars.

Enable the "Pedestrians Riot" code then kill yourself (falling into water works best). When you appear at the hospital, two or three old men will run over to you in order. Kill them in the order that they appeared. After the last one is killed, $10,000 will appear around the second one.

Go to the harbor in Portland, near where you can board the ship. A lot of people will come by, which you can kill for money. No felony comes back there, so you will never get captured.

Enable the "Change costume" code until you look like a gang member. You can now beat them up and take their money without resistance. This does not work if you try it with cops.

Finish your work for Lugi, then work for Joey until you complete the "Farewell Chunky Lee Chong" mission. Then, go back to the alley where you enter Luigi's. Turn around and take the street on the right. Go up the street until you see an alley with a Perennial parked in it (on the right side of street). Go into the alley and wait for two people to start a fight. When one of them starts to run, kill him. He will have $20,000.

Enable the "Tank" code. Each time you blow up or run over a car, you will receive a certain amount of money.

Enable the "Tank" code in one place until they are stacked on top of each other. You will get a large amount off money because they are hitting each other. Next, park a car near the tanks and blow it up. When the pedestrians run to it, use the "Destroy all cars" code and even the blown up car will explode. Repeat to get more money.

Enable the "Tank" code twice. Get in one Tank and ram the other.

After getting six stars on your wanted level, the military chases you. Neutralize the tank drivers, then hop in and bash up against another tank. Look at your money while your bashing your tank against theirs to see it rise.

Get two tanks. Get in one and push the other one and the money will just keep rolling in.

Every time you steal a taxi, you will get $25 and a new car.

Once you find an Securicar, take it to the import and export garage to get $5,000.

Get any car and stalk another one on the road. When you are ready, floor it and hit the other car in the rear. You will get money and when your car catches fire, bail. When it explodes you will receive a substantial amount of money.

Enable the "Destroy all cars" code near a person and he will die. Then, go to his or her body and get the money.

First follow a pickpocket that looks like a red jack but with darker clothing. They walk fast, start grabbing at people, and the victim will chase after him, and will fight. After he does his business, chase after him until he stops running. Then hold him up with an Uzi. He will drop his money and run. Note: If you follow him he might steal a car and take off.

Get to the five or six star wanted level anywhere while in the Tank. Wait till the FBI appears and crashes.

When you steal a taxi cab, you can get $100-$150. Drive around and do this to every taxi to end up with a good helping of cash. The money is actually from the profits of the poor cabbie you jacked the car from.

Steal or get a taxi. Activate the taxi missions. Follow the instructions and for every five people you drop off in a row, you will get a bonus. Continue to do this and you can get more than $20,000 dollars.

Go on ramps and get a unique stunt bonus. For the next unique stunt bonus you complete, you will get more money in the thousands of dollars range. For example, go on the Callahan bridge with a fast car. Drive down the middle. When on the Portland side, keep driving down the middle at the end where there is a yellow thing with black stripes. Hit it at a fast speed to use it as a ramp. Do this repeatedly and correctly to get a unique stunt bonus.

Put cars in a garage and then blow them up. Walk away from the garage, then walk back. The cars will be restored. Repeat this to get money each time.

Enable the "Low gravity" code and find ramps. You can get easy money by jumping over places, trailers, etc.

For an easy $50,000, get a Securicar. You can usually find them in Portland around the Callahan Bridge or at Callahan Point. There is a separate garage besides the Import/Export building in Portland. When you enter the docks, there will be three cars, including a Kuruma. Directly to the rear of the Kuruma will be a few blue garages that are numbered. The middle garage, however, is not numbered. If you drive your Securicar into this garage, you will receive $50,000. For every delivery you make thereafter, you will receive $5,000 less.

Get a police car and take it to your garage at the safehouse. Pull into the garage and activate the vigilante missions. Get out of the car and the message about getting back in to the car will appear. Wait until the garage closes and enable the "Destroy all cars" code. The reward message will appear, since you destroyed all cars but the police car in your garage will be unharmed. Repeat this to get a large amount of money.

Get in a car and run into any of the gang cars (Diablo Stallion, Cartel Cruizer, Hoods Rumpo XL, etc.) or city government cars (Police car, Ambulance, Fire Truck). You will receive cash. The longer you do it, the more money you will get.

Subways are very good places to make a lot of easy money. Find an underground subway station and go all the way down until you have reached the location where the train stops and people get out. This trick works better when the "All weapons" code is enabled or if you have a lot of ammunition. People will already be at the train station, walking around and talking. Go on a rampage and kill everyone in sight. Once everyone is dead, take their money. Then, turn around and walk in the opposite direction a few times to find a fresh batch of people. The subway across from the hospital in Shoreside Vale is a very location for trying this. About every fifteen people you kill will result in someone will having a large amount of money.

Spawn two Rhino tanks. Drive the tanks to a location with a long straight away. Drive one tank behind the other. Start pushing the tank with the other tank and the money will start piling up.

Easy guns:
Get a bat and kill gang members. If there is a few of them around, use a sniper rifle instead. If the gang shoots at you for no reason, keep away from them. If you need good firepower, get a five star wanted level but make sure the FBI cannot shoot you. Enable the "No wanted level" code and go to the FBI. They will not get in their cars because you cannot walk and aim with some wepons. Punch one to get one star and get into a fist fight with the FBI. Use a bat to kill them. When you have done this, you will get a few handguns and M16 rounds.

Easy ammunition:
Note: This trick only works for guns found in your hideout. Take all the guns, then walk into the very back of your garage. Hit the wall, then leave the garage again. All your guns, and anything else that appears there, will be there again. Repeat this until you have enough ammunition for your guns.

Automatic handgun:
With the handgun equipped, hold Circle to fire a fury of bullets at a constant rate until your clip runs out.

Faster shooting shotgun:
Hold Circle to fire the shotgun (or any other lock-on weapon) and press R1 repeatedly to fire it rapidly at your target. This method usually targets many targets around you, resulting in killing everything that is in range. When using the shotgun, try pressing R1 each time your character is about to pump the shotgun to prevent him from jittering, thus making it fire as fast as the handgun.

Repeatedly press L1 (Target) while shooting to shoot the shotgun faster.

Free shotgun:
Steal a police car. When you get out you will have a shotgun with five rounds. Note: You cannot use the same car twice.

Go to any Ammunation store and shoot the clerk. Most of the time, you will get his shotgun. Do the same to get ammunition for a shotgun that you already have. If you leave for a little while then return, you can shoot the clerk again. However, if you do not kill him the first time you he will shoot you.

Shotgun rounds:
Every police car you get into results in five rounds for a shotgun.

100 armor:
In some police stations are Enforcers (police trucks). If you go in them, you will get 100 armor.

Hijack the Line Runner (semi-truck), then exit. You will have 100 armor.

Try to get the S.W.A.T. team after you, then steal the S.W.A.T. van. Once in the van, you will automatically get armor.

Immunity to flamethrower and molotov cocktails:
Use the following trick to become immune from the fires caused by the flamethrower and molotov cocktails. Take an adrenaline pill to make the environment go into slow motion. Equip the flamethrower or molotov and use it to set a civilian on fire. Get close enough to the civilian and you will eventually set fire to yourself. Before the flames on you die out, press the replay button. You can either cancel the replay or let it finish. When the game goes back to real time, you will find yourself practically immune from fires from both of these weapons. Note: You must press the replay button before the fire on you dies out. Also, you will not be immune from explosions -- stay away from burning vehicles. You can now set fire on anything that moves and you will not get hurt in the process.

Getting guns:
Go by Toni's place to find an alleyway where an Uzi is located. Go near the mob car on the ledge in the other nearby alley -- you can go between two buildings and find an AK47-like rifle and some armor.

Go to Chinatown and look for a Triad member (men with blue uniforms). Run them down with a car until a gun appears (sometimes it is a bat). Alternately, you can get out of your car and hit them with a bat, but you might be spotted by another Triad member and get shot.

Hidden packages:
When you see the Rockstar billboard, there are usually some items nearby. On the three islands, hidden packages are usually found near the billboards. For every ten hidden packages you find, you gain access to a new weapon located at your hideout, free of charge.

There is a hidden package on the split bridge. You have to get on the middle to get it, and be on the bridge as it goes up. Note: You must get the package quickly before the bridge goes back down.

If see an alley, a cut-through, a big vacant area, or anyplace where you would never normally go, drive around. There may be a package located there, or at least a gun or health.

Free XXX magazine delivery:
When you complete all the missions in Portland for El-Burro of the Diablos, you will get a pile of his books by your hideout door.

Roundhouse kick:
Enable the "Different costume" code until you change to the old Asian lady with gray hair wearing a light pink sweater and holding grocery bags. She is the one usually calling you a "douche bag", etc. Stand perfectly still and press Circle to execute a roundhouse kick. Beware, as this old lady is weak -- one hit and she falls down. It is very easy to get busted by the cops.

Glitches

Upside-down world:
Fly to the Ghost Town using the Dodo. When you reach it, go under it (making sure not to land in the water) while facing Shoreside Vale. Go under the mountains and everything will be upside-down. It will remain this way until you land.

Ghost Town:
After mastering flying the Dodo for long distances, you can get to the town that is used in the opening FMV sequence. Take off from the main runway in Francis International Airport, heading towards the island. Fly all the way around the coast, behind the dam, and when you are almost to the front of the island there will be a small road and the "Liberty City Bank" building including the Securicar in front of it. There is only a very small solid part of ground which may be possible to land on.

Get to any island earlier than normal:
Drive a Yankee down to the tunnel that is blocked off by a blue wall. Park the Yankee on the little edge on the side of the road. You can jump on the hood of it and get halfway into the little ceiling. Jump , and you can now jump on the other ledge there. Walk to the blue wall that is one to two feet tall. Jump over it. Walk on the tunnel roof until you fall halfway through. Enable the "Tank" code. Drive the tank over the edge of the roof. You then fall into blue hell and land in the tunnel. You can now go to any island early.

Get to third island from Portland:
Enable the "Better driving skills" code. Jump the gap in the broken bridge at the start. Once on the second island, go to Rockford Hospital. Go across the street to Liberty campus. Line yourself so that you are facing the hidden package on the ledge. Speed forward then jump over the wall and onto the ledge. Drive straight through the wall and your car should spin around in blue hell. You will eventually land in the underground tunnel that connects all three islands. The blockages are gone. Follow the signs for Francis International Airport to reach the third island.

Jail clothes:
Start the game and wait for your first mission. You will be dressed in a "jail" type of clothing. From there, load a saved game. Once you start your saved game, you will still be dressed in the jail clothes. Note: If you happen to save the game, the "Different costume" cheat is will always be disabled.

No cars:
Repeatedly enable the "Tank" code eleven times. There will be no cars (including police) driving around. Parked cars will still be there. Note: Enable the "Destroy all cars" code before saving your game.

Interior car view:
Get any car that will fit in the subway tunnels. Take it down into the subway from Chinatown going towards Staunton Island. Enable the "Better driving skills" code. When you pass into Staunton Island (and the welcome screen appears ) press L3 to begin jumping. If done correctly, you will get stuck in the top, allowing you to see through the roof and view the driver turning the wheels and changing the gears.

Drive a burned wreck:
Stand in front of the car you want to hijack and enable the "Destroy all cars" code. You character will try to enter the car and it will explode. Immediately enable the "Full health" code to put out the flames on the wreck. You can now drive the black twisted piece of metal around town.

Enable the "Faster game play" code two times. Then, enter the "Destroy all cars" code up to the second Triangle. Carjack a non-parked vehicle by pressing the second Triangle in the code and finish it while your character is opening the car door, but before he is completely in. Quickly enable the "Full health" code and your vehicle will stop burning. You can now drive around, pick up prostitutes, and get in and out of the car. If you do not like driving with only three wheels, take the car to a Pay 'N' Spray and it will be brand new, and it will still be exploded. Note: This trick does not work on special vehicles (ambulance, fire truck, FBI car, Rhino, police car, Barracks OL, Enforcer) or parked vehicles.

Take the burned wreck car to the Pay n' Spray and you should appear in a jet black car. If not keep, going to the Pay n' Spray until this happens.

Trapped in Mafia Sentinel:
If you break off the driver's seat door and passenger's door, you will not be able to get out.

Flying helicopter wreck:
Raise your wanted level to three stars to attract the police helicopter. Shoot the helicopter with the rocket launcher. While it is exploding, quickly enable the "Lower wanted level" code. If done correctly, you will see the half-destroyed helicopter fly away.

Drive up dam:
At Shoreside Vale, go to the bottom of the dam with a fast car (police cars work best). Slowly drive up the dam and you will be able to drive around almost vertically.

Drive through door:
There is a "ghost" door in Portland at the Atlantic Quays area. Atlantic Quays is where you drive Maria to the party. You can drive through the fourth garage door, however anyone can get in.

Drive under Staunton island:
Get a boat from Azuka's Condo and drive it in the direction of the little bridge with the secret package on top of it. Go to the part where you can beach the boat on the road. Go back in the direction of Azuka's slowly and look at the land beside you. When you see a triangle of grass coming down where there should be just gray roc correct the boat so that you hit it straight on. If done correctly, you should go underneath.

Drive on top of cars:
Look around Staunton Island or Shoreside Vale for a Cartel Cruiser. Jack it and look for cars with a very low center of gravity. Enable the "Flying car" code and approach it at full speed. You will drive over it like a monster truck.

Go through walls:
Enable the "Faster game play" code twice. Get any car except the Dodo or a bus. Drive up to a corner where two walls meet. Get out of the car. Run into the corner of the car that is closest to the wall. Keep trying until you are inside the building or wall. Note: This does not work on all walls. If you go inside some buildings, the game will glitch and you will fall through "Blue Hell". The game will not freeze.

Get an Esperanto and enable the "Improved driving skills" code. Go to the Atlantic Quays in Portland and drive straight toward the building you drop Maria off at. Press L3 to go straight through the side of the roof.

In Staunton Island, go to the police station. Go up the stairs leading to the station, turn right, then jump over the glass ledge and carefully ease along the narrow ledge. Soon after the fourth segment, you should be able to go through the wall. This leads to a room with "Blue Hell" on the floor. However you will be able to fall through on the clear floor on the far left.

Go to the police station on Staunton Island. Steal the police car and enter the gates. Once in, steal the Enforcer. Go back to the gates you just entered from, but do not leave. Parallel park against the building so that you are up against it. Then. jump onto your Enforcer's roof and jump onto the window ledge. You can walk inside the building through a window (the fifth one from the gate or somewhere near that). You can see the jail cell once you are inside. If you keep walking straight to the far wall, you will fall through the floor and fall out of the sky. This is not a way onto the roof, so you still cannot reach the helicopter.Go to Marco Bistro. Go slightly past where there is a long alley in the center of the building. Go into the first opening to the right and drive towards the brown wall. You can drive through this wall, look under Portland Island, and continue to fall into "Blue Hell". You will land on the road in front of this building and get a stunt bonus reward. You can do this as many times as desired, but the reward will keep getting smaller.

Go to Francis International Airport in Shoreside Vale. Go to the two Rumpos sitting there then head left. Just behind the two Rumpos, turn right at that corner and head straight to that wall. You will go through and if you turn left inside, you can head up it.

When you get to Staunton Island, enable the "Improved driving skills" code. Go to the Pay 'N Spray and back up to the two foot wall. Accelerate into it and immediately before hitting the wal, press L3 to jump. You will go through the ceiling and enter "Blue Hell". When you return to the normal world, you will the on the Callahan Bridge or just outside of the Pay 'N Spray.

In Portland, get a moderate car (such as a taxi) and enable the "Better driving skills" code. Go to the Pay 'N Spray. Get on the street so that the sprayer is on your right. Drive full speed down that road and jump off the hill to the left of the building over the wall while holding L3. While in the building, go left without falling off, and you will exit the building and see a blue pool. Drive into it and you will do a ton of spins if you hold X. Move the Right Analog-stick Left or Right Analog-stick Right or Left and you will spin in that direction. Then, you will magically land in Saint Mark's.

Go through door:
Go to Atlantic Quays at Portland Island. Go to the warehouse at the of the road, the one closest to Joey's. Go to the door of the warehouse. You can either drive or walk through the door. You can now either hide from the cops for awhile or shoot through the door. Note: Cops can also go through the door. You can also stash cars in the warehouse. Note: Sometimes the cars will disappear.

Go through roof:
At Staunton Island, go to Pay 'n' Spray and enable the "Better driving skills" code. Go into the garage and jump. You will jump through the roof and land somewhere else.

When you are about to do an insane stunt or jump off a ramp, enable the "Better driving skills" code to jump further. Sometimes you will land on top of some buildings, causing you to enter blue hell.

Go through Triad Fish Van:
Jump onto the front of a Triad Fish Van. After it moves slightly, you will fall over and the van will still be moving. You will stay in the same spot that you fell at, go through the vanm and stay in the air, floating. However, this will kill you.

Walk in first person view:
Get an M16 and enable the "Weapons for pedestrians" code. First, find someone with Molotov Cocktails or a flamethrower. Enrage him or her by targeting or punching. Then, before he or she sets you on fire, switch to the M16 and go into first person targeting and hold. Get set on fire, then kill the person that attacked you by shooting him or her with the M16 (still in first person view). Wait for the fire to extinguish and you will be able to walk in first person viiew, provided you did not die or stopped holding target. However, you can not shoot, and walking is difficult. You must keep moving the crosshairs to walk, and you can only go sideways (which results in making circles); or just walk. You cannot backpedal. Also, do not jump or you will lose the effect.

Walk through the air:
Get an ambulance and drive it to Saint Mark's Bistro in Portland Island. Drive the ambulance up the stairs to the top of the Bistro. Then, climb on top of the ambulance onto the narrow wall. Walk on the wall until you reach the next rooftop it meets with. Switch to overhead view to avoid accidentally falling off. You can now walk around in the air over the other rooftops. You can tell where the invisible ground ends by looking for scraps of paper laying about you.

There is a location in Portland where you can walk on air, in Mafia territory. It is across the street from the Don's house where the picnic area is located. There will be a roof that you can use as a ramp. Jump on one of the buildings on the left or right.

Drive on air:
Drive a car to the top of Saint Mark's Bistro in Porland Island. Enable the "Better driving skills" code and jump your car (Bobcat or Taxi recommended) on top of the building to the right. You can drive on air for awhile, and also jump to other buildings. Watch for the newspapers on the ground to make sure you do not fall off.

Drive on roof:
At Shoreside Vale, go into the tunnel and enable the "Better driving skills" code. Press L3 while in a car to jump on the roof. Sometimes you will get stuck on the roof. While you are on the roof, you will be able to drive on it. Accelerate while you are on the roof before you fall.

Stuck in subway:
Get a Banshee and drive on the handrail in the center of the steps leading down to the subways. It will get stuck. When you get out, sparks will start flying and you will not be able to get back in. Blow it up and it will shoot down the steps and into the subway. Note: If you get hit by it, you will lose lots of health and possibly die.

Take a Rhino and ride it into the subway tunnels between the two escalators. After that, take any lightweight vehicle and ramp it off of the Rhino. you Will now be stuck in blue hell and cannot move. If you get out of the vehicle, you will fall through blue hell and land in the Panta-lantic construction site with little damage done.

Go to the subway station at the airport. Get in the subway door all the way to the left and enter. Then, get back off. You will now be able to run on top the subway tunnel, but only to the right side. If you go to the left ,on top, you will fall and a subway train will hit you.

Run on subway underwater:
On Staunton Island, go to where you first brought Maria. Steal the Banshee and drive down the stairs. Turn left at the bottom and go to the end of the dock, but not over into the water. Steal a Reefer boat and drive it to where you left the Banshee. Drive your Banshee onto the back of the boat. Immediately get out of your car. Do not run around; just stand where you got out. You should fall through the boat and land on the underwater subway. You can now run on the subway, underwater. If you fall off, you will be transported or you will die. The only way to exit off the subway is to fall off.

Sinking Dodo:
While at Francis International Airport, when you get the Dodo in the hanger, hop the fence behind it. When you get to the small opening by the fire truck, try to get through. The Dodo will sink. When it does so, get out because it will catch on fire.

Sinking Linerunner:
In Portland, get a Linerunner. Then, find the Mean Street Cabs HQ in Trenton. There is an alley next to it, which is too small to get through. Go to the other side of the building and attempt to drive through the alley. The Linerunner should start to sink and then catch fire.

Fall through game:
Go to the overpass of the bridge between Portland and Staunton Island on the Staunton side. Go to the southwest edge of the bottom of the overpass (with the radio station ads). Note the tiny space in-between the brick building and the overpass. Walk up to it and you will fall through the game, reappear in the sky, fall through the overpass, and only lose five health points.

On the second island at the police station are two gates. Enter the one on the right with a police car and drive around the back of the station to the left side gate. Go though the gate to the bottom of the ramp. Exit the car and walk into the corner where the walls meet. You will then fall through the wall and land on the street corner above.

While on any island, take a car and drive it into the subway. Go onto the tracks and park the car a few yards in front of where the subway train stops. Wait for it to approach and start up again. If you park in the correct position, the train will ram you through the wall and you will fall into black for a few seconds before landing on the street directly above the subway. If you land on your wheels you can be rewarded with at least $5,000.

Go to Staunton Island and enter the hospital parking lot. Enable the "Better Car Handling" code. Build speed while driving towards the hospital then use the hydraulic jump to get onto the roof. If you drive into at the hospital building, you will fall through it, through "blue hell", and arrive inside the Porter tunnel.

Enable the "Faster game play" code find a corner or a similar place. Run at sprinting speed into the corner and you should fall through the level and eventually end up somewhere else on the island you are on.

Get on top a building that is not usually accessible by jumping with hydraulics or going through an invisible wall. Exit back through an invisible wall and you will fall through the floor and the screen will turn blue. After a short while you will appear back on land.

Enable the "Better driving skills" and "Slower game play" codes. Line yourself up with your garage in Portland. Cross the street in front of the entrance of your hideout. Drive and jump your car exactly at the start of the sidewalk in front of the entrance to your hideout. You should land on top of your garage and fall into a blue glitch.

Go to the Mafia house in Portland (on top of the cliff, where you enter it and hear the piano). Get a car and enable the "Better driving skills" code. Drive from where the two black Mafia cars are located in the dirt area, and jump over the small round poles that block a car from driving onto the stairs. Continue straight and jump onto the rooftop in front of you. If you can, turn the car left to where the rooftop connects. If you cannot, just get the car to a stop and get out of it. Walk on the rooftop over by the chimney. You might be able to hear the piano. Walk into the chimney, but not too far, because might just walk through it. You will fall into it, and see inside. If you get stuck, just walk into the middle. You will then fall for a couple of seconds under the ground, and have view of the beach and the sky. You will then land in the street directly in front of the Mafia house. You also may lose a few health points.

Go to the police station in Torrington on Staunton Island. Go to the back where the Enforcer is located. Get in the Enforcer (or a police car) and drive through the gate on the right. Keep going straight down the ramp until you get to the turn (under the police station). Get out of the car and walk into the corner. You will fall through the bottom of the screen, appear in the sky, and fall down to the pavement. You will be at the decorative pyramids outside the police station. Note: This takes off five health.

When you are at your hideout in Staunton Island, go to the garbage dumpster to your left. Enable the "Faster game play" code two times, then run as fast as you can behind it. You will fall through the game onto the street under the lift bridge.

When you are in Staunton Island, steal a boat and ride it over to Shoreside Vale. Then, take the boat back to Staunton Island under the lift bridge connecting Shoreside Vale and Staunton Island. After the "Welcome to Staunton Island" message appears, look directly ahead directly under the area where the bridge and island meet. It should seem it is a white void. Drive the boat into the void. After a few seconds of falling, you will be transported to the lift bridge or the Belville Park area (depending on how fast your boat is).

On Staunton Island, enable the "Better driving skills" code. Jump on to the hospital then get on the roof and run into the wall in the car. Keep pushing until you fall into the blue screen. If done correctly, you should drop on the underground road that takes you to Staunton Island. This trick can be used to get to Shoreside Vale early, or be used as a quick way to get there.

In the subway, stand by the railing. You will notice that your leg will go through it slightly. When the train arrives, let it hit you. You will fall through blue hell and appear by Kenji's casino. It only takes 5 health points away.

Teleport:
At Staunton Island, go to the subway at the southern most part of the island. Wait for a train to appear. When it does, go in the second door from the left. There should be a dip in the platform where you have to get up, but you will make it. Ride the train to the next stop at the airport. When you get off, you will be transported to the top of the subway tunnel.

At Shoreside Vale during the boat mission, go to a hill/mountain. Bump into a certain part of it and you will appear on the street with your boat.

Bad bump in Portland:
Go to Trenton at the Portland docks. On the other side of the fence near the third semi trailer is a lump in the ground. If you follow the lump up and down, you will find a glitch that will also damage your health by 5 percent.

Get into Portland hideout without having to save:
This glitch allows you to get in the hideout where you go with 8-Ball to change clothes. Get a Tank, go to your hideout, then park it in the garage. Get out and you will fall through the ground and into the room. There is a bed with a refrigerator in side. However, you cannot get out.

Portland sniping location:
Take an ambulance up to Marco Bistros and up the stairs. At the very top of the stairs, park it directly in front of the little corner ramp, with the right side against the wall. Stand on the ramp and jump onto the hood, then onto the top. Then, walk onto the building. Walk to the other side and you will see a building that goes down like steps. You can see newspapers floating around. Jump up on top of this invisible wall and you can walk around in the air very high up, and can use this as the perfect sniping spot.

Extra bums in the Portland tunnel:
Get a Bobcat, drive to the Portland Tunnel, and get on the roof of the Bobcat. The bums will walk away into the wall. When this happens, walk to the hood and another bum will fall from nowhere. Walk to the roof again and the bums will walk into the wall, go back on the roof, and another bum will fall from nowhere. Repeat this as many times as desired to get more bums. You need to be in between them, and you cannot kill any of the them. Note: This is an easy way to get fire sticks.

Flying boat in tunnel:
Get on the speed boat that is behind the Yakuza mansion. Then, go left past the island in the water. Make sure you are to the left of the island. Stay sort of close to the side with the land. As soon as you start to turn the corner to the left, there is a piece of land that dips down close to the water with grass on it. Drive the boat straight into that piece of land and you will disappear into it. You will drop out of the screen and land into the underground tunnel mostly. If you get out of the boat sometimes it will float to the ceiling.

Unlimited time on taxi missions:
Do a taxi mission and make sure the timer is on. Before you get your next fare, try to run down the timer and before it hits zero attract your next fare by stopping in front or around him/her. The counter should disappear, but the passenger should still enter the car and tell you where they want to go. You can keep using the same taxi with unlimited time for each passenger. Turning off the taxi mission or getting out of the car will result in the return of the timer in game.

Taxi passengers that cannot be picked up:
Do the trick of doing a taxi mission in other vehicles by holding R3 when you are inside the taxi, exiting, going into another car, and releasing R3. Attempt to do the taxi missions in an emergency vehicle and the game will slightly glitch. The people that you could pick up will rarely flash green on the map and you cannot pick them up. However, they will wave to you as usual. Try this with the Police Car and turn on the siren.

Easy checkpoint missions:
If you are having trouble with some checkpoint missions, such as Multistory Mayhem, put your car directly in front of a checkpoint and allow the timer to run down. As soon as it hits "0", accelerate into the checkpoint. If done correctly, the timer should stop but the checkpoints should still be there. This gives you an easy ride to the last checkpoint, which when hit, will result in about $20,000.

Car alarm:
After getting into a car that has an alarm system, get back out after it goes off. Throw a grenade or shoot a rocket at the car. The car will explode, but the alarm will keep sounding.

Get crushed by car crusher:
Enable the "Better driving skills" code in Portland. Get a car that jumps high, and jump into the top opening of the car crusher.

Smashed by bridge:
Get a Banshee and go to the bridge from Staunton Island to Shoreside Vale. While the bridge is up, take your Banshee and drive it to the edge so that your front wheels are hanging over, then get out. The car should stay there and not fall off. When the bridge comes down, watch it get smashed and get wedged in between the normal road and the rising one. Note: After that is done, you can stand in front of it and jump. Your character will act as if the car is driving at him and jump out of the way.

Car on water:
Get any car and go to Asuka's condo in Staunton Island. Drive down to the docks where you enter Staunton Island and drive your vehicle on top of the boat. While it is on it, get out and drive the boat away. The car will fall off into the water, but will not explode. Note: You can jump on top of it, and even get in the car. However, once you are in it, you cannot get out and will die.

Get a Coach or other long vehicle and go to the Portland Harbor next to the Linerunner. Back the rear end of the vehicle off the edge of the harbor, and get out. Go to the front of the vehicle and push it off (run at the vehicle). You can now jump down on the vehicle.

Car under fire truck:
Drive a fire truck and hit a car head on, If done correctly, the car will go halfway underground or into the fire truck.

Disappearing people:
When your walking and see people in the distance, press the button to look behind you, then turn back. The will have disappeared.

Walk into the subway and kill all the people. Do not turn off your wanted level. When the subway arrives, get inside. When it leaves you will see people reappearing and disappearing as if they were ghosts.

People go through bridge:
Drive any car onto the bridge between Shoreside Vale and Staunton Island. Create a road block in the part that goes up. Wait for a car to appear and then wait for the bridge to go up. When the bridge is going up, pull the person out. They will get sucked through the roadway. Sometimes when entering the car, you will get sucked through as well, you will come back out. Most cars will disappear after awhile with the person in it. If they do not, you can make people fly.

Upside down people:
Go to the Shoreside Vale subway. Go to the steps and go to where the subway stops and picks up passengers. Go back to the wall directly by the stairs. Press R3 button to look behind and the game will show a group of blue lights and people walking upside down.

Standing dead people:
Enable the "Faster game play" code twice so it is at its maximum effect. Get a fast car such as a Banshee or another sports car. Run over pedestrians as they cross the road. They will be dead, but continue to stand in a puddle of their own blood. You can walk through them, and other cars will drive through them.

Invisible weapon:
Have a weapon and enable the "Different costume" code. If you want to get a certain weapon, pick the weapon before the one you want.

If you enable the "Different costume" codes frequently, sooner or later some of your weapons will become invisible. When you shoot, you will not see the gun, your hands that are holding it, and bullets.

Invisible/no people:
Get to a part on the coast of either Staunton Island or Shoreside Vale where you can easily see the other island closely with a sniper rifle. Look at the other island through the scope while zoomed in, and there will not be any people on the island.

Invisible cars:
Go to Liberty City and steal a flatbed truck. Enable the "Better driving skills" code then go to the multi-level parking garage and drive to the top. Press L3 once at the top and every car in the garage will vanish. Note: This also works with the bus.

Invisible Pole:
Go to the second island and get to the parking garage near the save location. Go in the left side of the garage. Go up the first ramp on the left. As you go up the first ramp, count four parking lines on the ground. When you reach the fourth line, there will be an invisible pole.

Blow up cars in garage but still have them later:
Put some cars in your garage, open your garage, then shoot a bazooka to blow them up. Hurry and run away so the garage door will shut. Go back to the garage, open it, and the cars will still be there. If you catch a car on fire in your garage, close the door then open it again. The fire will be gone.

Flamethrower through windows:
Walk into a place where the game pauses as you enter, such as Ammu-Nation, where no police or pedestrians can follow you. The flamethrower can pass through windows. You can use it to torch any passing pedestrians and cars. Your wanted meter will keep increasing, but the helicopters and the FBI will not be able to go inside to arrest you. In fact, the police cars will not be able to "see" you, and will simply drive past.

Boat with wheels:
Get a boat and drive it very fast on the coast and to land on the ground. Push it with a car to make it move. It will move easier when pushed from the back. To turn it, run into its sides. Enable the "Health" code to prevent it from exploding, as pushing will damage it severely. Push it into a Pay 'N' Spray and it will have wheels after the doors open again.

Teleporting limo:
When playing the Salvatore Has Called A Meeting mission, park a Tank in front of the garage at Joey's. Go inside and the limo cannot get out. It will try a few times, back up, then the game will show the building, then the street. The limo will be there. It will crash into some poles and may lose a hood, but it will get to the other side of the tank in perfect condition.

Disappearing boat:
Start the Gone Fishing mission. Once you get the boat and get far enough, Ray's partner will not shoot at you. Crash the boat on land and run away from it so it is out of sight. Return and the boat will be gone, except for the barrels that were on it will be floating.

Disappearing cars:
Go to the multi-story car park near Asukas in Stauton island. Go to the very top level and enable the "Better driving skills" code. Then, go to the opposite side of where the ramp is located. Press L3 to use the hydraulics and all the cars on the top story will disappear. Note: This does not work with a Yardie Lobo.

Floating car:
In Portland, complete the emergency cars list so that you can get an FBI car or a police car from the boat's crane. There should be a Yankee truck next to it. Select either the police or FBI car and get into the Yankee. Get directly under the car where it would normally drop to the ground. It will not drop because you are under it. Make sure all four tires are lined up to the top of the Yankee, then exit the car. When you walk away from the truck the crane will drop the police or FBI car on the top of it. When you get back into the truck and pull away, the police or FBI car should stay where it is, in mid-air.

Go down to the tunnel where all of the islands are connected. Enable the "Flying car" code. Go down the tunnel, then press L3 to jump, Your car might get stuck up there. You can get out, or go through, looking at an upside down world.

Get any car and go to the part of the bridge from Staunton island to Shorside Vale that moves up and down for the boats. Park your car sideways so that you will block cars that are passing. Wait for the bridge to go up, then allow the cars go past. They will drive off of the raised part of the bridge. If you get out of your car and look at the cars, you will see that they just float down to the ground just as if they were driving normally.

Spinning car:
Take a small car (Cheetah recommended) to where the bridge to Shoreside Vale goes up and down. Drive carefully to the point where the front wheels are off the edge below it. When the bridge comes down, almost on top of you, drive slightly forward. If done correctly, your car will get stuck. Accelerate, and your car should spin around as if it was getting sucked into a vortex. If you do not get out, the next time the bridge goes up you will fall through the bridge into the water.

Floating corpse:
Hit a pedestrian with a car, so that he or she falls on your car. Drive a short distance to a mission. Park your car on the blue point. Take the mission. After the mission introduction, your car should be disappeared, and the dead body will be floating in the air.

Jumping hobos:
In Portland, enable the "Better driving skills" in the tunnel by the shop where you can get the Banshee. Begin jumping and all of the hobos in the tunnel will jump with you.

Wiggling gates:
At the gate to the airport in Shoreside Vale, get a car and drive into them very slowly. The g
