you have Unlimited Ammo or not is when your weapons are down to 0. You
will still be able to fire.
Alternate
costumes: Get all 600 Precursor Orbs to unlock different colored clothes
for Jak.
Control
ending credits: Press Left or Right during the ending chredits to
change game characters. Press Left Analog-stick Up and Left
Analog-stick Down to zoom the view in and out. Press Right
Analog-stick Left and Right Analog-stick Right to rotate the
view. Press L1 and R2 to move the character down and up.
Hint:
Hero mode: Get hero mode on you secrets list. After you defeat the game, buy
it off the list. The game will tell you to save a file for it. When you play
it, you will have twelve guns. Whatever secrets bought during the game will
go into hero mode. Also, your orb count goes down in hero mode from the many
orbs that you got during the regular game. You will also have the cars that
were obtained and used. You will also have the first two of Dark Jak's
powers and the first three powers of Light Jak. You also have the jet board
with you. You also get all armors, so you will not have little health.
Hint:
Easy kills: To easily kill enemies in the desert, get in your car and get
some of the other cars to follow you near water. With the correct timing,
turn when you about to go in water. They will keep going and explode. Note:
This only works for the oasis and the ocean.
Another way to blow up other
cars is to use boost when a car is in front of you. Use your boost and the
car will blow up because you hit it very hard. Note: Big cars, such as Gila
Stomper and the Slam Dozer work best.
Lure the car to the rock.
Oneway to do this is to first start going fast. Then if one of the cars is
on your side next to your car, try pushing it to a rock as fast as you. The
car will blow up.
Hint:
Defeating enemies when surrounded: The following is a good attack against enemies that are
surrounding you. Take out your blaster rifle and fire it while doing your
spin attack.
Hint:
Defeating Cyber Errol: Note: The Arc Wielder Robot Shock upgrade is recommended for this
level. First, Errol will launch grenades at you. They are very easy to
dodge. Keep running and do not stop. He will then launch a swarm of KG bots.
Take out the Arc Wielder or any rapid-fire weapon to destroy them. He will
launch two waves at you. After those two waves, a small robot with a green
jewel on it will appear from a blue duct. Take out the Blaster and fire
until it falls, then spin kick it into the duct where it came from. The
robot will explode and damage Errol. The battle will remain the same, only
the grenades Errol launches will emit a shockwave when they hit the ground,
and he will launch a flurry of regular grenades, creating holes in the
floor. Also, when Errol's meter is red, Dark Makers will come out of the
ducts instead of KG bots. Be careful, as they can do a lot of damage to you
if you are not careful. Use the Plasmite RPG or Dark Jak Dark strike to take
them out.
When fighting Errol in the War
Factory, he will be on a higher platform than you are, standing over a
circle thing in the wall. Defeat all of the enemies that he throws at you
that come out of the four holes on the walls. Then, a machine will come out
of one of the four holes. Hit the one that is under where Errol is standing.
It will take out one fourth of his health. After doing this three more times
you will defeat him.
When you are fighting Errol in
the last mission when he is in the Terraformer. there are two parts to
defeating him. One is destroying the things on the legs of the Terraformer.
This will require some time, as the legs keep moving. It will throw enemies
at you, and you must shoot it while driving around the desert. After
destroying the legs, the body of the Terraformer will land in front of
Spargus City's gate. From there you will climb the body onto a big platform
where you will fight Errol for the last time. He is now using the head of
the Terraformer. First, destroy the tentacles that come out of the platform.
Then, destroy the enemies. Next, jump over the laser that sweeps over the
platform. After that, you will have a chance to shoot at the back of the
head. After a few times, his health meter will be at the yellow or red
level. Errol will start to smash the head onto the platform. Dodge this and
keep destroying and jumping over the laser. Once you make the last shot, you
will see an intermission sequence showing Jak shooting the head destroying
the Terraformer.
Hint:
Defeating the Precursor Robot: First, the robot will use an energy sword to zap you, swinging
from side to side. Just jump over it. Next, he will launch little
multiplying spider things at you. Do a 360 Rapid Fire Combo with the Beam
Reflexor to take them out. Then, he will shoot lasers at the ground,
bringing up some pillars. Wait until they cool and jump to the highest one,
dodging the blasts that the robot fires at you. You will find some mine
carts. Shoot at them until one falls on the robot's head. Repeat this and
you win the Arc Wielder and Act 2.
The robot will smash a laser
staff on the field, letting out shockwaves that Jak must jump over. then The
robot will use the staff to sweep the field. Jump over the staff. When the
robot stops, go to the front of the field. The robot will launch two Blue
Precursor crabs, which will face to the bottom of the field. Hit them from
behind and they will fly off the arena. You will not have to kill them by
melee attacks. The robot will now shoot five lasers to certain parts of the
field and pillars will appear. Wait until the pillars cool then high jump
onto the third highest pillar. Then go to the next highest pillar. You may
stop climbing here if the pillar is near the front. Notice the mine cars
that are hanging over the robot. Use the Vulcan Fury to shoot a mine car. An
intermission sequence will show the robot getting one third of its health
blasted from it. Do this two more times. However, there will now be three
Precursor Crabs, and during the last one third of health the robot will hold
two laser staffs and you will have to high jump when he sweeps the field.
Hint:
Defeating the Precursor Satellite: At the beginning, run under it when its lasers start shooting.
Stay under it and move accordingly with it. If done correctly, it will not
hit you. When it slams down, fire your beam reflector at it. It should go
down quickly.
Hint:
Damas and Jak: When Damas is trapped underneath the dozer when you get to the
palace ruins, he will tell you who his son is. It is Jak, but Damas calls
him Mar. The legendary Mar is thus none other than Jak.
Hint:
Precursors: When go down into the catacombs where the palace used to be, once
you get to the core you will be at the planet's defense system. After
talking to one of the Light Precursors, the doors in front of you will open.
You will then see that the Precursors are really Ottsels like Daxter. They
just made up the big and powerful statues because they were very small.
Hint:
Precursor Orbs and boxes: In the city you may find a Freedom Guard box all by itself. If
you break it open, you will find Precursor Orbs. Afterwards you may find
Dark Eco in it. In the industrial area you may find orbs in corners. There
is one box in the port. Go past the opening to the industrial area towards
the dead end and a box awaits. Also, go towards the industrial areas and to
your right will be what looks like a mini water tower. Behind it is a box.
There is one in the new part of the city, and one on the roof of one of the
huts in the dirty part of the city, where Onin now lives.
Go to the port and to the tower
with the Orb Challenge on one side. Stay on that side and use a Zoomer to go
as high as possible on the tower wall. Jump off the Zoomer in the air and
get as close as you can on the tower. You will notice a pipe coming out of
the tower and going back in. Grab onto the pipe and climb on to it. You will
see another pipe like that. Climb onto it and you will see a balcony or
ledge. Search around the ledge for another pipe. Climb up those set of pipes
until you reach another balcony. Up there you will find boxes with
ammunition, Skull Gems, and Precursor Orbs. Then, grind along a line using
the Jet Board towards an old beat up building and go back collecting the
Precursor Orbs. Then, go to the other set of lines towards the other tower
and get the Precursor Orbs. You might have to jump and do flip tricks to
grab some of them. You also may need to breaking open the boxes, but watch
out for the long fall.
Hint:
Precursor Orb challenges: When you walk by the Precursor Orb challenges you will have to
pay Metalhead Skull Gems to activate them. Pay to one for four gems and must
for a Gold Precursor Orb. Pay more and you will get a different and easier
challenge.
Hint:
Stay Light Jak forever: After you complete the game you will get all of the secrets
unlocked. Get enough Precursor Orbs for the Unlimited Light Jak secret.
Then, press L2 + X to become Light Jak with wings. This will
enable you to stay in Light Jak form forever, and you can use all Light Jak
powers. To heal, press Triangle. To put on the shield, hold Circle.
To fly, tap X. This is a great way to get most of the Precursor Orbs
around Spargus, because you can fly. You can also use guns in Light Jak
mode. To stop time however, you need to exit Light Jak form and do it the
normal way, because in this trick when you press Square Jak will just
punch.
Hint:
Arena: When you are fighting in the arena, it is easier to equip the
Scatter Gun (because of the large blast radius) and shoot or punch your
enemies into the lava. They will die instantly, and you can focus on other
attackers.
Hint:
Leaper race: During the Leaper race make the Leaper jump for the race. By
doing this, you will be able to win the race.
When racing against the monks
in Spargus, do not use the Left Analog-stick to steer. Instead, use
the Right Analog-stick to pan the camera in the direction that you
want to go and hold the Left Analog-stickForward. This will
make you go faster. It requires some practice, as sometimes you must jump.
This might also work for some vehicles.
Hint:
Defending the Naughty Ottsel: In the level where you must defend the Naughty Ottsel in four
different areas, the third is probably the most difficult. You must destroy
all the robots and protect three people as well. If they all die, you lose.
If you are having trouble, keep dying on purpose. Eventually you will get
more people, and you will only lose if they all die.
Hint:
Haven City: Easy orbs: Go to the port, and look up on the wires above. You will see a
lot of orbs. Go to one of the big pillars that are on the big bridge across
the water. When you are next to a pillar, go to third person view and look
up at it. You will see pipes sticking out that you can climb on. Turn into
flying Light Jak and fly up to a pipe. Climb up the pipes until you get to
the top, then destroy the boxes for some orbs. After that, use the Jet Board
to grind across the wires and get the orbs.
Hint:
Spargus City: Light Eco: Around the corner from Krew's garage in Spargus City, you will
find a Light Eco Vent.
In Spargus City, there are rats
running around that will give you Dark Eco and very rarely Light Eco.
Hint:
Spargus City: Civilian riots: Once you have been given the Deflector Blaster, walk into the
middle of a crowded Spargus City street. Jump into the air, do your spin
kick, and rapidly fire your gun. Immediately afterwards, hide behind a
civilian. Anyone that got hit by your fire will shoot at you. They will hit
the civilian that you are behind. That civilian will start to fire at them.
Keep running behind civilians and eventually almost every civilian that you
pass will get hit, and they will shoot at you or the other civilians. Find a
hiding location, and when you cannot hear gunfire anymore go back to your
area of destruction and collect the ammunition from everyone. Note: This is
useful for when you need to collect Dark Eco from the rats that run around
the city.
Hint:
Spargus City: Defending front gate: In the mission where you have to defend Spargus's front gate, the
best car to use is the Dune Hopper or Dust Demon because of their grenade
launchers. They should take out the Catapult Launcher in two hits.
Hint:
Spargus City: Guns and cars: When in the garage, shoot the cars there and destroy them. You
will restart from inside the garage. The only gun that will not affect them
is the Mass Inverter. All it does is make the cars go up in the air.
Hint:
Wastelander City: Two Wastelanders fighting: Go into the Wastelander City and shoot one of the Wastelanders.
They will begin to shoot at you. Quickly run behind another Wastelander, and
the one you shot will continue trying to shoot you, causing him to shoot the
one that you are hiding behind. They both will begin shooting each other
until one dies.
Hint:
Avoid falling damage: Press Circle to kick just before landing from a high fall.
Hint:
Drive in first person view: When in any vehicle except for a Leaper or Jetboard, press R3
for a first person view.
Hint:
Peacemaker back-shots: This is a bonus attack trick, and is very easy to do. Charge up a
Peacemaker blast and hold it (keep R1 held). Then, while still
holding the charged blast, press Square and Jak will launch forward
as if to do a punch or slam with the gun. Note: While he does this the
charge will still be held if you kept R1 held. Note that he raises
his Peacemaker over his head and behind his back to slam it down on an
enemy. While he has the Peacemaker pointed backwards, ready to bring it up
and over his head, release the charge (release R1). He should release
the blast and send it backwards. This is useful in crowds of Metal Heads or
Death-bots. Just charge and press Square to knock out the enemy in
front of you; the charged blast you released just before hitting the first
enemy will take care of most if not all of the enemies behind you.
Hint:
Different colored rocket: In the mission where you have to blow up the first barrier with
the rocket, die frequently. Every time you die, you will start with a
different colored rocket. Note: The colors of the rocket will be in this
order: pink, yellow, then green.
Hint:
Avoid octopus in water: At the end of the game, buy invincibility then grab a Leaper
Lizard. Go on the water and walk as far as possible. There will be no
octopus.
Hint:
Gliding: Go fast and get some boost. Go on a hill and while you are in the
air use your boost. You will glide. Note: The Dune Hopper works best. Also,
this can be done in the desert.
Hint:
Flip on the water: Use the jet board on the water. Press X + R1 to do
a flip then quickly hold L1.
Hint:
Gun ratings: Note: The accuracy and power is rated on a scale from 1 to 10.
Super Nova Status: Peace Maker (upgrade 2)
Range: Far, wide
Power: 20
Ammo: 15
Accuracy: 10
with upgrade (found in secrets): 20
Glitch:
Cannot switch hover zones: When you are in the section of Haven City called New Haven City,
go to the sewers to turn on the switch. Go back the way that you came by
going up the elevator. After doing this, try to get to the Freedom HQ. You
will not be able to. Do not switch hover zones, because you will fall into a
deep abyss. After going back into the city you will have to save somewhere
else in that the New Haven City section. If you do not do this, it will
remain that way.
Glitch:
Cave in the desert: After you complete the first mission in the cave in the desert

With a scatter gun you cannot shoot twice in a row too quickly it will not
do it correctly.
Glitch:
Daxter floats in mid-air: When you are in the War Factory mission, go to the area where you
control Daxter for the fourth time. After you make it past the moving
flamethrowers, jump down toward the KG bots and a car. Jump onto the car
where the seats are, and Daxter will be standing in mid-air instead of on
the car's seats. You must land the double jump where the seats are located.
Glitch:
Leaper runs on water: When in Spargus, grab a Leaper and double jump into the water.
The Leaper will be standing on the water, and you can move around.
Glitch:
Peacemaker in water: Note: You cannot use guns in water except by doing the following.
Take out the Peacemaker and charge it up (hold R1). While it is
charging, jump in water. You can swim around with the Peacemaker still
charging, provided that you keep R1 held. Once you fire it you must
get out of the water and charge it up again to use it in the water.
Glitch:

you are still charging.
Glitch:

sequence will show Tess becoming an Ottsel. After that,go to the gun courses
in Haven City. You will see that Tess is still normal and not an Ottsel.

the way up then press R3. You will still be charging the Wave
Concussor in first person mode, and can still fire if you release the fire
button.
Glitch:

speeder. The speeder will explode, and you will meld with the nearest Ai
motorist. Note: You can fire from the speeder, but will have to load a game
in order to do anything else.
Glitch:
Triple jump: Charge the Wave Concussor all the way up. When you release it,
you should jump up. When you fire the Concussor, quickly press X(2)
to do a triple jump.
Glitch:
Jump forever: Go to Haven City. Go to the tower to the right of the Daxter
statue. Proceed as if you were going to the Precursors on the wires.
Instead, go to the top or second part. Stay to the right at the first part
then go to the second pipe. Jump under the ledge and keep tapping X.
Glitch:
Exploding underwater: Go to the beach part of Sparagus. Go right by the sea. Take out

pay attention to what weapon they had when you attacked them. Use your
camera to look away from them and get them out of sight. Finally, turn
around. They will have a new weapon when they try to attack you.
Glitch:
Precursor satellite fight: When you fight the Precursor satellite in the desert, take out
your Beam Reflexor. When the satellite goes up in the air, brings up its
force field, and starts to shoot its four lasers, fire the Beam Reflexor at
anything you can find (rocks, trees, etc.). Hopefully all the beams will hit
the satellite. Keep doing this until the satellite go into the ground. If
done correctly, when the satellite goes into the ground its shield will
still be up, but you can still damage it. Note: This may not always happen.
Glitch:
Disappearing civilians: While in Sparagus go to the beach section. Find a civilian
walking by the sand. When you find someone directly by the sand, take out
your Scatter Gun and immediately shoot the person. They will automatically
fall into the sand. When they get up and are ready to shoot you, they will
automatically disappear.
Glitch:
Flying civilians: Go to either Haven City or Sparagus City. Take out your Mass
Inverter and shoot it. As soon as someone goes in the air, switch to the

Glitch:
