the ball . When you are going to shoot for position, fake very fast for
awhile. You will start to scoot up to the net . Shoot from wherever desired.

Easy 100% shooting percentage for team: Use the following trick for an easy 100% Shooting Percentage For
Team (minimum 20 shots) for 2,500 NBA Store Points. First, create a player
with maxed out stats (Height, Weight, Skills) and make him a PG. Sign him to
your team, re-order your roster so he starts, and choose to play the
Charlotte Bobcats in an exhibition game, under the rookie difficulty
setting. Use the "Double team" play on defense to steal the ball
and create easy fast break dunks or have your maxed out PG back down the
opposing teams PG for easy buckets in the paint. Make a minimum of twenty
consecutive baskets and end the game without missing a shot. You will then
receive 2,500 points towards items in the NBA Store.
Hint:
Easy dynasty mode: Go to the "Edit Players" option under "Team
Management" and max out all the stats of the players on the team that
you want to use in dynasty mode. Save the roster so that you can use it in
your dynasty. Go to dynasty mode and it will load your roster. Your team
will have maxed out stats.
Go to the settings menu. Then
choose "Gameplay" and change the fouls to "0". Then, go
to "User" and make everything "100" except
"Substitution". Go to "CPU" and set everything to
"0". Then, go to "Rules" and make "Foul Outs"
"0" and no fouls.
Hint:
Challenging dynasty mode: Waive the worst player from your team so that you have one open
spot. Note: Only release a player with low skills and a low one year salary.
Then, sign the best player from the free agent list. Then, trade him to a
team for their worst player (40-0 overall rating). Next, release the player
you got in the trade and repeat the process as you feel is necessary. This
works best when you stop trading players when there are no more players on
the free agent list above a 60 overall rating. When you are done trading,
you can resign the player you waived in the beginning, if desired.
Hint:
Easy dynasty mode points: Before you start your dynasty mode, put all of the All-Star
caliber players in one team. Then, simulate through the entire season in
dynasty mode to earn points for unlocking items.
Hint:
Increasing player rating in dynasty mode: This trick requires at least 300 dynasty points to buy a one game
coach that helps the centers, forwards or guards. This may not work for
coaches who coach an entire team. Then, switch every player on your team to
that position. For example, switch all your players to centers first then
buy the big man coach who will raise your players inside scoring by four.
Then, go back and edit your players again to their correct position except
for the centers. Make them a power forward or something else. Then, re-order
your line-up to your liking and simulate one game (since you bought a one
game coach). Go back and edit your centers to their correct positions. Look
at the ratings, and your players should all have had their inside scoring
increased by four. If you have at least 10,000 dynasty points, you can buy a
team plane or new team locker room which raises your FG shooting by four
each home road or home game. To take advantage of this, buy a plane or
locker room, start a game, and look at the rating to see if it went up then
quit the game. If you go player stats and look at the ratings, you should
notice your players FG shooting is up by four.
Hint:
Getting great players for low salaries: When you are in "Sign Free Agents" in the off-season of
your franchise and you see a very good person at a very high price
($300,000), just skip the free agent signing and get to the new season. When
you are done with training camp go to "Sign Free Agents". If the
player that you want is still there, he will usually ask for the minimum
price.
Hint:
Blocking free throws: On an opponent's last free throw shot, choose the player closest
to the basket. As the ball is up in the air, charge in and press Triangle
to block. Your player will grab the ball off the hoop, and this will result
with your opponent missing.
Hint:
Dunk off backboard: This is best done in practice mode. Line up with the basket and
press Dunk above or directly below the 3 point line to make the ball
bounce off the backboard. Then, run to the basket and press Triangle
to jump and dunk the ball. This may require a few attempts.
Hint:
Dunk packages: Each player is given a dunk package that determines what types of
dunks/lay-ups they will do. For example, Shaquille O'Neal will do hard dunks
while Vince Carter does aerial dunks.

One man alley-oop: This trick requires a big dunker such as Jermaine O'Neal. Run
towards the basket and press Square slightly behind the free throw
line. The ball should hit the rim. Run towards the basket and press Triangle.
If done correctly, the player will slam it down. This may require a few
attempts.

Technical foul: To get a technical foul, you must have no timeouts.While playing
on offense, press Select and you will get a technical foul. Note:
When you get two technicals nobody will be ejected.

Improved gameplay: Use the following slider settings to keep your gameplay more
realistic. Before the start of the game, switch sides and go in to
"Settings", then "Playbook", then "Team
Strategy". Turn "Crash Boards" on, and switch back to your

No free extra freethrow: During times when you get fouled and convert a shot, the game
will not give you an extra freethrow when you are supposed to. Instead, you
will have a chance to inbound the ball.
Glitch:
Ball on top of the backboard: Sometimes when the ball bounces to the top of backboard and goes
out of bounds, the team will receive 2 points.
Glitch:
Injured and a foul shot: When a player drives to the basket, then gets fouled and injured
at the same time, he will be replaced by another player to shoot his
freethrows. The player is allowed to return. In a real NBA game, when
another player shoots your freethrows you are not permitted to re-enter the
game.
Glitch:
Offensive foul: When you take an offensive foul and the opposing team misses the
lay-up, the ball will go back to them. However, they will pick up the
offensive foul.
Glitch:
Substitution error: When a player is about to shoot freethrows, the CPU will
substitute players after the last freethrow and not in-between freethrows.

NBA headbands: You can only give NBA headbands to created players.

Skating effect: Players are usually seen having a "skating" effect on
the court while running or walking.

Four or five point plays: Sometimes your player might get fouled and make the shot.

Two different jerseys for Karl Malone: In the demo FMV sequence, where you see the players driving in,
dunking, and making other plays, look for Karl Malone. In the first clip
where he appears, (when J-Kidd is driving to the hoop against L.A.), you
clearly see that he is wearing the number 32 (Magic Johnson's number). Then,
in a clip in which you see Kobe driving to the hoop, look in the background
and you will see Malone again, but this time he is wearing the number 11
(his real NBA number, for now).
Glitch:
Skinny Shaq: Enter edit player mode and adjust any of Shaq's clothing (shoe's,
gear, etc.). When you accept to change his gear, he will turn skinny. This
is because the maximum weight for a created player is 235 lbs. And his
weight is in the 300 column.
Glitch:
Give other player a loss: During online play, choose a team then at the tip off, either win
the tip off, or if your opponent wins immediately foul him. Make sure no one
shoots the ball. Next, quit the game. Once you quit, press Triangle
repeatedly from the time you see Vince Carter's face on the screen until you
reach the game modes. Once you reach the game modes, log back on again. If
your opponent has chosen to return to lobby and accept the win, you will be
awarded the win instead. To counter this glitch you must choose to continue
versus the CPU.
Glitch:
Commentary: When playing at home with player whose last name ends with an
''s'', the announcer will pronounce the last name without saying the ''s''.
For example, "Gilbert Arena" instead of "Arenas", and
"Earl Boykin" instead of "Boykins".
