Car
built for Homer: Complete all ten levels in mission mode to unlock the car built
for Homer.
Hint:
Extra time: To get +2 seconds, hit the bus stops booths that have Mr. Burns'
picture on them.
Hint:
Mission skip: Intentionally fail a mission five times and it can be skipped.
Note: This cannot be done on the final mission.
Hint:
Extra time and money: Start in Evergreen Terrace. Drive straight ahead to the bus-stop
and pick up the passenger. They will want to go to the Kwik-E-Mart. Drop
them off and pick up the passenger just outside the Kwik-E-Mart. They will
want to go to Smithers' apartment. Drop them off and shoot down the alley
opposite to pick up the passenger waiting at the end. They will want to go
to Smithers' appartment. The passenger will always be Martin, or the Sea
Captain or Barney. Do a quick 180 and shoot down the alley to drop them off.
Then, shoot up the alley again to pick up the next passenger, who will
always want to go to Smithers' apartment. Keep repeating this for easy
money.
On the Downtown level, go to
the hospital and there will always be someone who either wants to go to City
Hall or the Court House, both of which are only three to six seconds away.
Repeat this fast enough, and you will gain more time than you lose.
Hint:
Easy money: Pick up someone, take them to their destination, but park just
outside of the destination. Wait there until you have fifteen seconds left,
then drop them off and pick someone else up. Keep repeating this trick until
you run out of time.
In Evergreen Terrace, go to the
grass on the opposite side of the church. There is a passenger (Bumble Bee
Man, Reverend Lovejoy, or Ned Flanders) there that wants to go to Reverend
Lovejoy's house. Turn left and go through a cement tunnel. Upon exiting,
turn right and do a donut into the drop off area. Go back through the tunnel
and pick up the same person. Repeat this for easy money.
In Evergreen Terrace, drop
someone off at the church. Just to the right of the church is a path to the
lake. Drive to the back of the lake and pickup the passenger (Ned Flanders,
Barney, or Groundskeeper Willie). They will always want to go to the Church.
Drop them off, then return to the lake again. Repeat at least five times for
easy money.
In Evergreen Terrace go to
Smithers' apartment and turn around. You will see an alley. Go down the
alley and you will see either Barney, the kid that works at the movie
theater, or the Sea Captain. Pick them up and they will want to go to
Smithers' apartment. Just turn around, drive down the alley, and drop them
off. Reverse back and pick them up again. Keep repeating this until you have
enough money. Also, they will never have Road Rage but sometimes they will
want a Safe Trip. Note: Sometimes Mr. Burns will be driving around there.
Use any character and go to
Smithers' apartment. Drive down the lane opposite and pick up the passenger.
He will want to go to Smithers' apartment. Keep repeating this for easy
money and extra time.
In Evergreen Terrace, go to the
Krusty Burger. Either Marge, Apu, or Ms. Krabapple will be waiting there.
They will want to go to the grocery store. Instead of going right, go to the
left, which is a shorter route. You will end up behind the store. Drop them
off and repeat this trick for easy money.
Outside the elementary school
is usually a character who wants to go to the church. Pick them up, drive
into the wormwhole and head for the big tall rock straight ahead of you.
This path leads directly to the church. Repeat this for easy money. Note: If
you pick up Bumblebee Man you will usually get a Road Rage Drive for a 1000
bonus.
Go in front of Barney's
apartment. You will see Snake, Nelson, or the Sea Captain. They will want to
go to the Gas Station. It is not far from here. Just avoid cars and you will
keep getting fast money.
Go as if you are going to
Krusty Burger, but when you turn there will be a sign that reads
"Roof". Go up a ramp and pick up Grandpa, Dr. Nick, or Bart. They
will want to go to the Retirement Castle. Deliver them then go back and
repeat.
In the Downtown District, keep
returning to pick up the person in front of the hospital. They will always
want to go to either the County Courthouse or City Hall, both of which are
very close by and straight shots across the Town Square. Avoid hitting
objects when carrying regular fares so you will have plenty of targets to
hit with Road Rage fares for bonus cash.
This trick requires an at least
average speed character (the fastest being Lisa or Professor Frink). Choose
the Downtown District. Pick up your first customer, which will want to go to
The Painless Dentist, Cathedral, or Herman's Antiques. If you go to the
Painless Dentist or Cathedral, turn to face the railroad tracks. The person
there will either want to go to the Veterans Hall, Mission, or Plasma
Center. If they wanted to go to Herman's Antiques, go directly to the
Veteran's Hall after you drop them off. After you bring them there, go next
to the Veteran's Hall. You will find someone who wants to go to either the
Bus Depot or the Observatory (which are in front of each other). Once you
get there, face the Police Station. There will be three people, take the one
near Frink's Apartment (who is at the corner of the triangle intersection)
that will always go to the Cathedral or Painless Dentist, which are in front
of each other. Then, repeat the process. If they want to go to the other
side of the block (for example, Veterans Hall to Observatory), use the
shortcuts to get there on time. Its very easy to get extra time to do this
repeatedly.
Go to Road Rage mode in the
Evergreen Terrace level with any driver (Moe recommended). Work your way to
Smithers' apartment. If done correctly, it will be your second stop; though
you do not really need to pick anyone up to get there. Across from the
building is an alley. Take it to the end and you will find someone waiting
to be picked up. The person at that location will always want to go to
Smithers' apartment. Just keep driving back and forth. It takes less time to
get there and back than what you get in return for the trip. You will always
get a "fast" bonus, even it you get there after the passenger
jumps out. Every third trip is a safety bonus.
Go into the park, where you
will find a person standing by a sewage drain. The person will always want
to go to Reverend Lovejoy's house. Go into the sewage drain and turn right
and you will find Reverend Lovejoy's house. Repeat this to get easy money
and lots of time.
In Springfield Mountains, go
straight ahead to the Tire Fire. On the left side of the fire is Barney,
Groundskeeper Willie, and someone else. They will want to go to the Biggest
Toilet. Take them there, then drive back to the Tire Fire. Repeat this for
easy money.
Try to pick up the same people
every time so that you can follow the same (or similar) path each time.
Go to Smithers' apartment, then
go to the alley with Barney, the kid, and the fishing person. Just stay
there in the circle to get $114, while only losing 1 second.
Note: This trick requires a lot
of time, patience, skill, and luck. Choose Professor Frink and the nuclear
power plant. Do not get any slows up until you get to $10,000, then time
should run low on passengers and game time. Keep playing and you will notice
that the time for passengers is about 35-6. The 35 is when people are at the
mall and want to go to the baseball stadium; the rest of the time is 6-20.
If you are skilled, you will get someone to their destination will 1 second
remaining and still get a "Fast", but it has to be after $10,000.
Keep doing this and your game time will go low, high again, low again, and
so on until time has properly run out. And if you are lucky, the game will
let you get there with 0 seconds remaining, provided you are extremely close
to the destination.
In Evergreen Terrace, on the
opposite end of the lake of the church, there is a person in the water
wanting to go to the church. They will always be Flanders, Lovejoy, or
Bumble Bee man, and will always want to go to the church. The easiest way is
under the bridge and up the path to the church.
Choose a fast character such as
Lisa or Apu. Select the Evergreen Terrace level. Start and pick up the
person in front of you. They will want to go to Kwik E Mart. Once you
arrive, go across the street and pick up the person waiting there. They will
either want to go to Willy's shack or the school. Once you drop that person
off, pick up the person in front of the school. They will want to go to the
church. Go across the lake to get there faster. Then, go over to the field
and pick up the person waiting there. They will want to go to Reverend
Lovejoy's house. As soon as you drop them off, go past the first person and
pick up the next person. They will either want to go to Krusty Burger or the
Retirement Castle. Drop them off, then go just outside of the Krusty Burger
and pick up the person waiting there. They will want to go to the grocery
store. Drop them off, then drive over to the gas station. Pick up the person
there. They will want to go to the Wiggum's house. As soon as you arrive,
drive over to the school. Pick up the person there and repeat everything
from that point.
Use the Evergreen Terrace alley
route by Smither's apartment, as described above. Repeat that trick until
you have about five minutes on the clock. You should have about $30,000
already. Park your car on the pick-up area (Barney, Movie-Theater Boy, or
Sea Captain). Every time a passenger jumps in, you will gain 7 seconds. Each
failed attempt takes 8 seconds. Each failed attempt also nets you about $114
as the passenger fare runs. With five minutes on the clock, you can net
about $34,200. It takes about 30 minutes for the clock to completely run
down. Allow the game to idle here. Your car will actually roll around a bit
as passengers jump in and out. It is best to position your car perpendicular
(90 degrees) with the alley, so that you will stay in the pick-up zone.
Including the money you earned driving back and forth, you should net a
total of about $60,000. If you are even greedier, then build up more than 5
minutes. If this is done under the hard difficulty setting, the earnings
will be $162 per run instead of $114.
Hint:
Easy mission completion: Before doing a mission, enable the "Time trial mode"
code. Then, go to the mission you want to complete. As soon as the mission
starts, press Horn and the timer will stop, giving you as much time
as you needed to complete the mission.
Hint:
Tip for fast: When you are down to a very low amount of time, almost every
passenger that you get to their destination will give you a tip for fast.
Note: This trick will not work when you have "Avoid Traffic" or
"Destroy Objects".
When driving around with a
passenger, wait by the destination marker until timer hits 00. Drop them off
to get a fast and 3 seconds added to time.
When speeding, try and cut
trough parking lots. You will get to the destination faster. When dropping
someone off and there is a person waiting at the destination, try to swerve
and stop where the is person standing.
Hint:
See spacecraft and golden airplane: Enter Sunday Drive mode and choose Downtown as a location. Go to
Area 51-A and drive into the window. You will see the spacecraft. Go though
other window to see the golden airplane.
Enter Sunday Drive mode and
select the Downtown location. Go to the "escalator leading
nowhere". Face it so that the entrance is directly in front of you. You
will see a man in a blue suit and brown hair not asking for a ride. Push him
onto the escalator all the way to the top until you both fall off. When he
hits the ground, he will appear to be dead. When you return to the
escalator, he will be there again, alive.
Hint:
Kill a mascot: Get a dumpster and face the mascot. Ram the dumpster into him.
His arms will stick out, but he will not move.
Hint:
Kill a random person: Enter Sunday Drive mode and select the Downtown location. Go to
the "escalator leading nowhere". Face it so that the entrance is
directly in front of you. You will see a man in a blue suit and brown hair
not asking for a ride. Push him onto the escalator all the way to the top
until you both fall off. When he hits the ground, he will appear to be dead.
When you return to the escalator, he will be there again, alive.
Hint:
Shortcuts: When at Springfield Dam and going to Rancho Relaxo, drive into
the water and go up the trail. You will save at least 10 seconds going that
way.
When going to the church from
near the school, you can jump in the river to get there slightly faster.
When going to Chief Wiggum's
house from near the gas station, as soon as you see the church you can jump
in the water there to save a lot of time.
In Evergreen Terrace, when you
drop someone off at Reverend Lovejoy's house, there are two passengers that
are not far away. The closest one will either want to go to Moleman's or
Patty and Selma's. The farther passenger will either want to go to Krusty
Burger or the Retirement Castle. When you pick up the passenger, go straight
until you reach Apu's apartment, then go behind it. There is a sidewalk that
is between two complexes and leads to a road that takes to your destination.
Note: This shortcut will not work if your passenger wants to go to Patty and
Selma's.
When you start the
Entertainment District level, drive up the road and just before the corner,
there are some road works. There is a big pile of soil here. Jump over it to
get to the Springfield Mini Mall.
In the Entertainment District
level, there is a shortcut opposite the Duff Brewery. There is some grass
here. Follow the grass to reach a fork. The left fork goes to the Superbowl.
The right fork goes to the Googleplex Cinema.
Another shortcut in the
Entertainment District level is along the road from the Duff Brewery in the
direction of Planet Hype. You should see some big signs and ramps at the
back of a big truck. Drive up the ramps at full speed and you should land
behind the Aztec Cinema.
When at Springfield Dam and you
are at the builder's shack, the passenger will want to go to Rancho Relaxo.
To get there faster, drive the way instructed until you get to the dam
itself. Turn around to the road lower than the one you came off, then drive
behind the TNT storage shed into the secret passageway. When you exit the
other end, immediately turn left then drive on to a patch of grass that is
on top of the hill. Drive off it and turn left. Then, drive towards Rancho
Relaxo. This also works with the person that is actually on the dam.
Once you come from Rancho
Relaxo, pick up the person in front of it. They will want to go to the TNT
storage shed. Go to the right-hand side of the barn with the truck in it,
which is at the left-hand side of Rancho Relaxo. Fall into the water (or go
down the path leading to the water), then drive to the dam. Go up the side
of it to get to the top. Immediately lose a lot of speed, turn right, build
up your speed again, and land on the TNT storage shed.
At the start of Springfield
Dam, all the people you can choose from will want to go to Jittery Joe's,
Jazz Radio, and Kamp Krusty. Out of those three destinations, there is one
passage for all of them. It is at the start of the very first right corner
turn in the level. It is a steep hill that you can easily get up with no
effort, and it connects to the road leading to Jittery Joe's. You can go the
other way down it when going to the Stonecutter's lodge.
In the dam, someone will want
to go to Kamp Krusty at the start of the level. When you get to Quimby's
mansion with that passenger, cut through his back garden and drive along the
water at the back of the dam to get there. This saves a lot of time and also
lets you avoid the nuke bus and Mr. Burns. You can use this to get from K.K
to Builders Shack.
On Evergreen Terrace, you can
pick up a passenger next to the sewage pipe. He will want to go to Reverend
Lovejoy's house. Drive him through the pipe to the house. After he is
delivered, go back through the pipe to pick up the closest passenger. He
will also want to go to Reverand Lovejoy's house. Repeat this as many times
as desired.
When you are near the school
and want to get to the church quickly, go to the bridge. You will see a sign
reading "Water Hole". Go through there. When you go through, the
arrow will redirect its way, pointing to the church but through the
shortcut. When you get to the church, notice that it was a lot faster than
going all the way around.
Hint:
Drive through the school: Go through the front doors of the school and watch as the
teachers run as you drive down the halls and out the back door. Play as Bart
for a funny comment.
Hint:
Spin the car: In the Entertainment District, look for a trailer and drive up
the corner to spin the car. Note: It will not spin a full vertical 360.
Hint:
Mission 2: Avoid getting hit by Mr. Burns: Once you get to the cooling towers, Smithers and Burns will try
to hit you with his limo. Once you hear "Get him Smithers", dodge
the limo to your left. Immediately stop in the designated area to end the
mission. If done correctly, Burns will pass you, then return and hit you
after you drop Homer off. If done incorrectly, Burns will either hit you
head on, or he will hit you from behind.
Hint:
Mission 10: Easy completion: A very easy way to complete Burns Arena, Mission 10, is to pause
game play and set the camera to the bumper view. Then, just drive into the
statues and avoid Mr. Burns and Smithers.
Also try setting the view in
the car for the mission.
Hint:
Road Rage mode bonuses: Every third person that gets in your car in Road Rage mode will
have a bonus (safe trip, destroy stuff).
Hint:
Road Rage mode code warning: If you use any codes while playing in Road Rage mode, you will
not be able to earn money for your next reward.
Hint:
Messages: There are a few bumper sticker messages in the game that are
difficult to read. Mr. Burns' is "Eat the Poor", Homer's is
"Patty and Selma in trunk", Chief Wiggum's is "Can't we all
just get along?", Krusty's is "I brake for condors" and
Marge's Thanksgiving car is "I brake for turkeys". Aside from
bumper stickers, all the Duffs are named Dizzy and the message on the
chalkboard in the school in Evergreen Terrace says "This is not a
clue....or is it?"
There are many secret messages
that are not easily read. On Lisa's Elec-Taurus, the bumper sticker reads
" If you can read this, Good for you!!!" Professor Frink's hover
car's license plate reads,"E=MC2". Marge's Canyonaro's license
plate reads "Mommy" Homer's license plate for the car built for
Homer reads "Persephone". Grandpa Simpson's car's license plate
reads "Tonic" and the picture on the side of the car
reads"Simpson & Son Revitalizing Tonic". The sticker on
Snake's dash reads "STP", and his license plate reads
"BUZZ.com". Mr. Burns' license plate reads"666-LUV". All
the Nuclear Buses read "Not in Service" on the front above the
windshield. The sign at the church reads "Jezebel, the all naughty
hottie".
Go to the school in Evergreen
Terrace. Look to the right of the school to find an open window. Drive close
to that window. Inside is a message that reads "This is not a clue...
or is it?".
Hint:
Drive as any character: Enable the "Drive red brick car" code and pick up any
character. When you drive the car you will be the character that you picked
up.
Hint:
Recommended cars: Some cars (or trucks) have the best speed and steering. Here are
the top three for each category:
Steering Sports Car (Apu)
Soap Box Racer (Bart Simpson)
School (Otto)
Glitch:
Flying people: Park next to a person with the handbrake, back up, then turn into
them very slowly. It helps to be going downhill. If the person cowers in
fear (and does not walk away), this trick will work. The person might launch
into they sky. Then, drive forward some, and the person might launch out
from your car.
Glitch:
Enter school: In the first level, go to the school and enable the "Special
car moves" code. Use the Speed Boost at the window and you will
eventually go in. Note: Speed Boost to the hallway to exit.
Glitch:
Moving head: Select Sunday Drive or Road Rage and choose the flying car, if
available. After Mr. Burns has stopped trash talking you, hold R or X,
then hold A or Right Analog-stick Up. The driver's head moves
forwards and backwards repeatedly.
Glitch:
Floating basketball hoop: Behind the school in Evergreen Terrace, go to the basketball
court and knock down the fence so that it falls toward the road. Go to the
middle of the court and knock the poles supporting the hoops outward. The
hoop should be floating in mid-air.
Glitch:
Ghost driver: On level 3 (Marge), call up the family sedan. Homer will be
driving it. Go to the trailer park (14 days without a tornado) and stop next
to the wasp camera. Get it to shoot at Homer, and he should get knocked out
of the car. When you get in, Marge will be sitting in the passenger seat
while you drive. Homer will be eaten by a black hole in the ground and
disappear. You will continue to hear Homer's voice as if he is driving.
Please
select the first letter of the game's title below. If the word
"The" appears at the start of a title, ignore it and search for
the second word in the title:
